From check-in to check-out at the Horizon club lounge, the experience was superb! With the exceptionally heart-warming greetings and hospitality treatment from Horizon Club Lounge staffs, me and my family stay for the past 11days were definitely a home away from home. Attach great importance to the privacy of customers, service relevance, meals and wine are delicious; Service staff in the first time can be for us to deal with and appropriate service is good to have no words! The most powerful thing, every employee and staff to see the VIP and guests will have a polite nod to say hello, and give a kind smile! This kind of hotel is really good service first! Thank you so much for taking care of me while I was there. I would like to personally thank the front desk people who have been very cordial with me for my check-in and check-out. The housekeeping people who have made sure that my room is on its tip top shape everyday! And lastly to the concierge team, especially to Mr. Christopher Huang for being so accommodating especially when I deposit my milk bags. It really made my life a lot easier and convenient. Truly a home away from home. It's always good to have the Shangri-La experience across the globe as everything is standard. See you again soon!

Fantastic hotel. Highly trained staff with excellent customer service. The hotel is a beautiful product and located close to most attractions. Breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in terms of quality and value. The concierge and management teams deserve a big pat on the back — well done!

It is always a good hotel for a stay in Taipei. Maybe it is a little aged but always in good condition and clean. We like to stay there again and again for years.

This is the first time to stay in Shangri-La Group hotel, through the luxury circle booking, CI when the counter staff did not explain the project including breakfast and the use of USD100, there is no gold member to stay can advance 250 U. The hotel itself is luxurious, however slightly dated. Our room was adequate in size and had views of the 101 however the windows were dirty. Exterior windows must be cleaned for often. The horizon club was a beautiful space to relax and the breakfast offerings were standard. Some of the staff in the horizon club were nice, while others were just there. I believe that freshly squeezed orange juice is a standard offering at any five star luxury property around the world, even if it’s not available on the pantry, it should be available by request. During breakfast at the club lounge, I asked for a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and was served juice from concentrate. The lounge staff gave me an excuse regarding the different oranges that they used and that is why the juice tasted like concentrate. To a person who has stayed in luxury properties all over the world, one can determine if the orange juice is freshly squeezed in one sip. So I hope the hotel does take into consideration of improving their beverage selections. We had lunch at the Xiang palace and it was superb, the best thing about this stay. The Peking duck was delicious. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

The Taipei Far East luxury Pavilion compared to the Tainan Far East Luxury pavilion, frankly a bit disappointed to stay in Check-in, only to provide towels, no tea, Tainan the Far East is to provide towels and tea, meet the Chinese poor reception staff, but we are in Taiwan, this is not very understandable,
Again it was not asked if it was necessary to have the newspaper every other morning.

We booked 2 double bed rooms. We had 2 people living in one room. Obviously we would expect the free breakfast was for the 2 people per room. When we had the breakfast, we were told the free breakfast was for 1 person per room and wanted to charge my son for breakfast. At the end, they still fixed it and didn't charge my son, but just found it kind of awkward. Other than that, everything else was good. The staffs were very friendly.

My stay was likely one of the best hotel experiences in my life. I brought my 7-year old son and asked the hotel staff to take care of him — they were able to organize a babysitter, upgrade us to a suite, and take care of all our needs. They were absolutely superb in all regards. A world-class experience! Thank you!

As usual, a big thumb up to all your staff especially those working in the Horizon Lounge. This time special kudos goes to Tony and Pearl who work in the kitchen. It is amazing how they can do so many excellent dishes in such a confined area. Housekeeping did a good job as usual. They got our special requests for extra plastic drawers and floor lamps all taken good care of before we checked in.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed being on the 35th floor and having the view of the 101 tower. We felt privileged.

Hall to wheelchair-specific ramp road is too short, too sloped, turn bay angle is too big, because too slope is too short, push down will be too fast, but also because the angle of the turn bay is large, not good control, in the turn bay almost slipped out of the slope, guard only a little height, can not prevent stall and rushed out of the slope, dangerous. We almost lost our wheelchair just now.

Very nice hotel, not too far to 101. Very modern, spacious rooms with nice furnishings. Lobby and floors nicely decorated. Good pick up and transfer from Airport with 7 Series BMW possible, not too expensive and very friendly staff.

It really is an excellent hotel for all aspects! The location, the services, the room, the food, and so on! If you want to have a good view of Taipei 101 scenery, I would recommend this hotel. The view from its rooftop pool to Taipei 101 is dope! The rooftop pool itself is great because it’s an outdoor heated pool so it opens all year long. The room is very clean and modern, mine has a great view to Taipei 101 and an exclusive access to Horizon Club—which is an exclusive place to chill and has a breakfast with (again) a stunning view and an a la carte breakfast menu. The staff was so helpful too. It really was a pleasant and a perfect stay!

This was an excellent hotel, with superb staff! I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was. I was impressed at how well people remembered me (and my room number, where that was appropriate). They even anticipated things, such as when I went up to the rooftop swimming pool to take photos (pointing out the great places to view the city). The staff at the Cafe at Far Eastern were especially friendly and attentive. I ate breakfast there every morning, and lunch once. When they discovered that I was gluten free, they always made sure that I knew what would be good for me. I felt really taken care of! The room and other facilities were great. I appreciated how there were buttons next to the bed so that I could turn on/off various lights, including an under-counter light that provided just enough light for when I needed to go to the bathroom in the night.

The experience was excellent. The staff are cheerful and attentive at all time. The bath pillow after soaked in the bath was broken and water was everywhere in the bathroom. Cleaning lady was sent immediately to dry up the floor and I am impressed that the manager followed up the problem the next day. The staff at the customer service counter was helpful on restaurant booking. They remembered I had a massage booking and suggested an earlier dinner time. We arrived very late at night for checkin and were being offered to upgrade our room with discount. It would be great if this can be offered earlier than upon arrival so that the checkin time can be shortened. Overall the services were great, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

I like Shangri-La's brand of hotels, the hotel front desk staff warm and courteous, thoughtful service. Rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is attentive.
The food in the restaurant is delicious and the staff diligent. Shangri-La Hotel, Far East, has also left me with good memories.

The services is excellent. This is my third times to stay in this hotel. It is as good as it used to be. I enjoyed the Lounge this time, and I think that it is very worthy. I am definitely come back again.

Stayed six nights, good cleanliness, staff are polite, with Tonghua and normal night market distance about 10 minutes or so is very convenient.
Room service food is very delicious, the weight is also very adequate, responsible for the meal staff is very enthusiastic. But the bathtub and the floor tiles are partially peeled off … And the welcome fruit in the room is a concave apple that hasn't been replaced for six nights … These two points let me down a little bit.

From making the reservation online to checking it all staff were helpful and informative. Every morning the happy doormen would greet us like old friends, the staff in the Cafe were always ready to help and the Manager was outstanding with nothing being too much trouble even making me my own banana milk when it wasn't on offer. Our Housekeeper was quick, chatty, smiley and discreet. We could fault nothing and we ranged from 15 to 77 year of age. Would definately come back.

When we checked-in, the staff member who is in front of the lobby didn't tell the check-in process clearly and she had a huge mistake. When we received the room key and got into the room, it was totally different, but we didn't notice at first because we were tired from the trip. After we got into the room, the staff member who didn't tell her name argued that we canceled that room, even though we didn't cancel it. So, I asked her to come to our room and tell us what is going on. However, she didn't show up and we really upset about it because we ate very late. Also, the staff member who we first met during our check-in process, didn't apologize this mistake and she introduced other staff member who is Korean because we are Korean tourists. I think this is very rude attitude towards customers. She should apologize at first and solve this huge problem with herself by not bring Korean staff member regardless of the language difficulty. The Korean staff member said that find her when we ate dinner. However, she was not there, so we were totally puzzled at that moment. After dinner, they changed our room, and said that they upgraded the room (deluxe room->executive grand deluxe room). However, it is not true at all. We booked grand deluxe room and they gave us deluxe room. The main reason why we are disappointed with this hotel is the staff member who first assisted our check-in process didn't apologize us at all.

Really nice hotel. Staying here we had the feeling that everything was just right, and this is a really good hotel Rooms are large and very comfortable. Design is unobtrusive and comfortable but also stylish and everything is well thought out. Very clean Enjoyed the buffet lunch in the hotel restaurant — huge choice, all delicious Good location, in the centre of town with lots around, though a bit away from the MRT Staff were really helpful and nice. Special thanks to the concierge desk and the staff of the cafe next to the back entrance who really went out of there way to help us. Thank you!

I went to Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei for a early christmasdinner. Everything was organized properly the food was fantastic. And the room looked great.

The Shangri-La Taipei offers excellent support and assistance with its main downside being a bit far from the MRT. It makes up for it by having an ample chain of taxis ready to take you anywhere. The hotel rooms themselves are spacious and have facilities surpassing most and with just about everything tough of, from ample power outlets to ethernet and stable wireless. For the businessman on the go, the Shangri-La is a sure fire. Food at the various restaurants and the buffet are good and varied as expected for a hotel. Given, the Shangri-La provides luxurious rooms by most international hotel standards at a good value, mainly attainable by Taiwan's lower cost of living prices. While I believe staying at the Superior or Deluxe rooms are just okay in terms of value and would instead recommend boutique hotels and rooms that are offered throughout Taiwan, the Executive and Premier rooms are spacious, comfortable with good amenities, and offers great views of Taipei City. In the last two times I opted to pay a little extra to stay in the former rooms. The Shangri-La of course is not the most expensive hotel in the city and there are higher offerings at the W and other luxury hotels located at Xinyi. But considering that Shangri-La is one of the largest and original hotels in Taiwan and yet the facilities show no sign of wear or age, and has taken care to upgrade its facilities, this makes it far better than classic alternatives like the aging Taipei Grand Hotel.

I travel for work. Taipei was my 5th City within Asia work tour. Had a great experience at this hotel. It was: clean, spacious, well located with many options. Staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous, especially Benson, Bell Boy. I was looking for a local laundry place. Benson took me to several laundry places. Benson is the best! Marco Polo restaurant: food was amazing and staff was very friendly!

Stayed 4 nights at the begging of juin 2016, hotel far from all, the toilet makes noise and smells bad. Most unacceptable point 20 days since my check out, the garantee made by my credit card is still hasn't been cancelled in spite of several exchange with the staff by mails. Worst experience with shangrila. By the way the shangri la in paris is wonderful never had problem.

The Hotel accommodations were superb. Everything, from the food and decor of the many restaurants and breakfast hall, to the careful and elegant design of the spacious room, was excellent. The service was also outstanding and unlike other hotels, the room is refreshed twice each day further demonstrating that the assurred comfort of guests is the priority. I definitely plan to stay there again on my next trip to Taipei.

Just a regretful shame on May 20 afternoon Cafe's buffet. As our tea run out, I take one cup of coffee and two tea bags to refill water later. A waiter asks me to return tea bags. Virtually I was misunderstood to take two tea bags outsides because of the prohibited behavior. Then I had No argument, just feel embarrassed in public to return two tea bags. There is No mood to continue any drink at all.

Update — Second stay here and it is still the only place I will stay in Taipei for business. The pick-up from the airport was flawless and the check-in went smooth and fast.

I stayed in the hotel for almost 7 days and had a great experience during the whole stay. On my arrival I discovered I had been upgraded to an "Horizon Club" room which gives access to a lounge on the 36th floor with a more intimate breakfast room and access to drinks, snacks, newspapers and magazines during the whole day. The room is very cozy and comfortable with very good Wi-Fi connection. Great relaxing bathroom with fantastic "L'Occitane" products. As I had a very early plane, I booked the hotel Limo (5 AM) on my checkout and had two very good surprises: 1/ the limo has free Internet Wi-Fi 2/ they prepared a breakfast box with a hot coffee which I enjoyed on my way to the airport. Strongly recommended!

Very user friendly, the details of the hotel. I like it very much, lived here in Taipei. Eslite, South location 101 and shops are very close, far Eastern Department store negative two there are a lot of delicious food, walk two minutes there are convenience stores, Starbucks, tonghua night market is 10 minutes walk. Location did not have to say. Good facilities at the hotel, overlooking the 101 rooms, hotel staff super helpful, attentive, no one smile from the heart of the hotel. Highly recommend!

Meet the experience requirements, especially the swimming pool on the top floor to watch the sunset and watching night at 38/f, restaurant, far more than the 101 on the building a sense of enjoyment. 8 minutes walk from the nearest subway station to, dragging boxes is not convenient. No free shuttle bus; the top floor swimming pool is open, no heat; the door stood cabs intentional detour scams.

Had buffet here was pretty good. Nice selection including Indian — not greatest but unusual fare for Taiwan.

Room (suite) was really nice and hotel's facilities and services are nice too. But. It's located lil bit far from main downtown of Taipei. You have to use taxis to go to main downtown to do something. Overall, It's nice hotel to visit once again.

It's a aged hotel but with a pretty good view of taipei. I recommend going to the top floor italian restaurant and you can have a remote view of taipei 101. Food is delicious there.
