Aesthetics aside, the rooms are small but well appointed and very clean. The lobby offers a coffee bar with decent fare, and bicycles are free to borrow for guests. The "fitness center" is a joke, however (a closet-size room with one stationary bike) and Western guests will be disappointed by the breakfast buffet on the top-floor. All in all, however, I had a very pleasant stay, and the location was very convenient, just one block away from an MRT stop. Fast and free Wi-Fi, and helpful, English-speaking staff on hand to assist.
