Beautiful hotel we came twice in two different rooms and were never disappointed. The rooms are sublime and we enjoyed it.

Little paradise away from the whole everyday life, we are very highly recommended. Everything from service to rooms is top. What I really appreciated was the trust in the guests and the attention to detail. Surely coming back.

Excellent hotel, very good restaurant! On the other hand, the bell tower just across the street will wake you up without hesitation in the early morning. And there are still quite a lot of flies, too bad. Otherwise beautiful garden with beautiful flowers. Welcome and friendly staff! Price in relation to a hotel of this standard in Switzerland.

Very fine food. Simple rooms possible, so that you have the luxury for the fine food.
We combined the visit to the bear with a visit to the garden window. This is really recommended! Just great!

Our room was exactly what we had imagined, the only thing we noticed was that the shower and Wirhltub were to be uncold.
The food was very good except for the salad which was very vinegar heavy and the croutuns also only tasted of vinegar.
But otherwise we were very happy with everything.

Could a wonderful weekend experience for two in a wonderful Hotel in which you are pampered from morning until the evening. Our Suite "Gables Suite" was simply the Hammer! The food and the service staff in the Restaurant were excellent… We are already to the next stay on the plan. Thank you for the very friendly hospitality.

Beautifully decorated rooms (garden window suite). Perfect cuisine, a true feast for the palate. Is definitely worth a visit. Historically interested people are not too short.

Really great hotel, comfortable with all the modern convenience in the beautiful old house. Good breakfast but you need to ask for eggs etc.

This hotel has everything you like in a Spa, directly inside your suite: steam bath, sauna and a whirlpool in a romantic setting. In the Restaurant, which is located just over the street, you get healthy food from local produce with a touch of japanese influence. All meals were delicious and the service was very forthcoming.

We had the rooftop suite with steam bath, sauna and whirlpool. The photos on the website of the bear exaggerate not a bit; The suite is as romantic as it seems! We ate three times in the bear and each dish was a specially designed composition. A kitchen that redesigns traditional Swiss dishes and lets you feel an Asian influence. A true delight for the palate!

Loved my week end there in the fancy room! The food was also amazing!

We were there for dinner today, and we are very pleased. The food is great the price-performance ratio is also right. The staff friendly peppered and very accommodating.

The stay was very nice. The service staff was very attentive and friendly. The dinner was Perfect. Pure Wellness. For the soul as well as for the Palate. The suite in the roof gable invites you to Linger. Whirlpool, Steam Sauna and Nordic sauna all in the Room. We felt comfortable and will come back.

We spent one night at the Bären in Dürrenroth. We had a delicious dinner which was served by a friendly crew. Our table was in a small room separate from the big dining hall. This was perfect for us as we have a six month old baby. The room was spacious and full of character. We went on a hike to the Lueg. A lovely walk in the heart of the Emmental. We had a lovely time and would totally recommend it!

Very nice place to relax and enjoy calm days. Astonishing historical building surrounded by a nice garden and aesthetic facilities. Personal and kind service — we will get back again.

We enjoyed two nights in the «Veranda» suite. The room was perfectly furnished, lacking nothing. Especially to mention is that on the second day the minibar (in the Price incl. ) was filled again, we have experienced this differently. The brunch buffet had everything you could wish for. We enjoyed the evening meal in a pleasant atmosphere and with culinary delights. The friendly, laid-out crew (by the way from the reception to the waiter) sweetened the stay. When the dinner, because of a banquet, lasted a little longer until the main dish, a passage was pushed in. For a longer stay the menu would probably have a little bit of choice or variety, but this is also our only criticism. In any case, we liked the price/performance and we will be happy to recommend the bear.

I think you hotel is fabulous, you are merely let down by an average restaurant, I would not have a large menu/a la carte but I would have a good one.

The service was quite good, though the food was horrible we all really disliked the food the meals weren’t hot anymore, that sucks.

All was perfect! Except the duration, next time, I've to come longer!

We booked the Veranda Suite last year and yesterday we were in the Honeymoon Suite. Hardly at home we have already booked again. We will visit the Stöckli Suite in May. So far we have been there 2 times and it was both times great. We are looking forward to the next time today. We can only recommend the Bören Dürrenroth. Keep it up.

Only small downside: difficult to find the reception when you are in the parking lot of the hotel… Some indications are missing. Otherwise, everything else is extra!

Hello together me and my friend were there for 2x. A year ago we had the Wellness Suite which was already great. But the new Wellness Suites are the hammer! You haven't saved a wonderful pool a little smaller but a little bit to go in and he's got so much extra stuff just wow! The same applies to the sauna as to the steam bath! Then the bed a dream like the TV system since my friend was bright on enthusiastic. The sofa as well as the mini bar always super! I can recommend this to anyone who needs a break!
We were still eating in the restaurant in the evening which was also heavenly

Food, room and atmosphere perfect. For 5 star would have to be worked only on the service.

We were in the rose Suite, a really beautifully furnished Suite. Only a bit of traffic noise from the very low frequented street by the non-sealable Mini-basement Windows in the Suite urge to prevent the 5 points. The food, service and the hospitality were simply TOP-notch!

The overnight stay in the wellness suite was great. The food for our taste a bit to "Nouvelle Cuisine".

Recommend this hotel absolutely, especially the suite Honeymoon that we booked. The reception was very professional but also friendly on the part of the couple, owner of the hotel, as well as its service staff. The breakfast was royal. On the subject of the restaurant, do not be afraid of originality and be ready to make discoveries. The tastes and dishes are very worked, do not fail to surprise and the rest and a question of tastes and colors of each.

We were in the honeymoon suite. Liked us very well. The food was great, service is very friendly and the room was very nice. A good place is quiet to switch off from the everyday and city stress. We like to come back. :-)

We were now already for the second Time here, for the first time in the porch Suite, the second time in the Stöckli Suite. And we were not the last time here. The rooms are amazing, very clean and there was lots of small details thought of. The food in the Hotel was also top, the advice from the staff fantastic. Also at the reception the staff were very friendly. Everything is perfect!

Unfortunately, it was at our arrival just a wedding aperitif DIRECTLY in front of the Windows of our rooms. The Ankunftsromantik was blown away, because we are on a quiet End of the week happy. Then… our VORBESTELLTER aperitif in the garden… this unfortunately had to be something to be moved, since the wedding aperitif still in full swing. So we made it ourselves in the pub with a glass of white wine cozy. After about an hour we were told that the drink is now served could be. In fact, it was us just a Launch "shoveled" and we were allowed to sit down, where before the aperitif was. Of course, with a view of the now almost empty eaten the Buffet and the used white wine and Champagnergläsern… everything is still there… not so romantic, and for the recipient of the amount is also not the special treatment. It would have been desirable, if you could give us about the activity in time had been informed. Would have been no problem 1-2h later to arrive. But it was kinda ugly. This as the Input for the Manager. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast buffet is abundant and the homemade confi excellent. The room was lovingly decorated.

It was last December in 2014 when I visited this place. Lovely and cosy hotel. I really enjoyed stay with nice staffs. I'd love to visit the restaurant again.

By using a coupon we got in the enjoyment of a romantic weekend with all the amenities. We arrived on Saturday in the Emmental, and were friendly in the bears received. The lady at the Desk gave us charming with all the important information supplies and us to the Honeymoon Suite accompanied, which is in the house "cross" on the opposite Starssenseite. Here, you will feel immediately welcome! In the room, which is located on 2 floors with a spiral staircase was located was quiet music from the Radio to hear that a lamp has burned and everything was top prepared. These small things that it offers the guest! After a small rest of the trip we went for dinner in the Rother-room. Upon entering, it was clear that the Restaurant is well attended. The Diners were all around the same time, what it the Service is not easily made, everything to make it perfect. A couple of time periods or ambiguities were corrected charming and we had a beautiful evening with a wonderful Wild on the plate. After the dinner, we have our beautiful Suite is still a bit much. Fireplace, large bath, candles everywhere, what more could you want. The Breakfast buffet waralles as to what you want. Eggs, braid, meat, cheese, fresh fruits, etc. We can recommend the bears only.
