Situated right in front of the Melchsee-Frutt Cable Car, Gasthaus Waldhaus is a traditional guesthouse that enjoys a central position in Melchtal. It offers a restaurant with a large panoramic terrace serving traditional Swiss cuisine. The rustic rooms are simply kept. They include a washbasin and satellite TV. The shared bathroom facilities are located on each floor. A ski storage room is available and a ski rental shop is right next to the Waldhaus. Stayed week. Great with great facilities. Close too gondalas. Great view with snow covered mountains. Meals were great!
➜ My experience in the inn Waldhaus has caused me strong concerns about the necessary Freundlichleit of service forces. The staff was very rude: someone who accompanied us to our meal was sent by the waitress from the restaurant. The Älplermakkaroni did not contain any bacon and were therefore able to classify some of the taste levels more deeply. Caused by the macaroni, one could hardly enjoy the rest of the day due to stomach and intestinal flatulence. Problematic!

Food i. O. But not excellent. Operation rather unfriendly. Had to pay extra for Supplement (Nachsevice). (Apfelmus for Alplermaggronen. The bowl given is far too small for such a large portion). Staff reacted rather cheeky when asked.
