The Maloja offers a four-star comfort just outside of St Moritz. Cross-country skiers can access the lake from the ski cellar. Frog tour groups and individual travelers. Ski lifts can easily be reached by car or bus. Bus price in Skipass included 5 to 11 francs, EUR bus payment possible. Family with children are welcome. Recommendation at any time.

Must be good, is open especially on the Engadine occasion.

The service here is terrible. The hotel management clearly has an arrangement with German tour operator "Kopfüber Sportreisen" which provides them with steady recurring business. As a result of this, it puts only the bare minimum (if that) of effort into looking after any other patrons. If you didn't book through the tour operator you will be essentially on your own here as the staff is extremely unwilling to help, any questions you may have will cause considerable anguish and will probably go un-answered, problems unsolved. The only people being looked after here are the Germans on the tour, and only because they have their own staff. It's a great shame because the building is really splendid, the rooms are modern and comfortable and the setting is breathtaking.

Unfortunately the receptionists were so unfriendly, we didn‘t feel welcome at all. Simple questions about the area and meals at the hotel caused turmoil, communicating with them was a big struggle for us. This is a huge shame as the landscape and archicture are really beautiful. Very well restored and nicely furnished rooms.

For travel bus drivers in Germany — Switzerland, there were only rooms in the "unrenovated part" so far. From the first class dining room I was complimented out. The staff in particular at the reception was arrogant and not friendly…
From my experience as a service provider I can not recommend the house!

A very nice hotel with its over 100 year old charm. A big compliment to the whole upside down team. You all do a great job. We felt very comfortable. It was a great holiday!

If one day, in another dimension, the belgian Camille de Renesse should meet the genovese Amedeo Clavarino, he lumped from the high lineage, I expect that he will manifest his deepest gratitude. Any of the mountain landscapes you can enjoy will be well kept here.
The service is very friendly, but occasionally there are acoustically very noticeable Italian families there, which disturbs a relaxed sitting in the lobby or at the bar a bit but the hotel can do nothing.
Unfortunately the bar is not very attractively built and also the cards are only laminated cardboard.
The rooms are cozy and the scenery around it is very nice!

Warning — Hidden cleaning charge may double your hotel price The hotel is nicely located at the entrance of Maloja. Extra electrical heaters in the hotel room make sure you feel comfortable when temperatures drop below minus 20 degrees. The reception was is not very welcoming and seemed to be unprepared. We booked a small standard hotelroom online for one night and discovered later that there is a hefty hidden cleaning charge of 70 CHF / approx. 70 US $ applied. This fee is not quoted in the online portal search engine. So you will not be aware of it unless you read the details of the booking confirmation. When we politely addressed the issue, the manager in charge behaved like an angree schoolboy who gets caught cheating in an exam.

The grand final returning to Milan to Pontresina. Step away from the MALOJA PALACE HOTEL of my old and dear friend Amedeo Clavarino greet him and he says to me, "what are you doing? You remain my guests here for a night! ". The temptation to which we have not been able to resist. Very nice hotel, with great class and style, magnificent rooms, dance halls, and every kind of services. Surrounded by beautiful mountains all from skiing, and, right at the front, a frozen lake on which you can ice-skate or make an excellent cross-country skiing, even without samples. An unforgettable experience.

It's an interesting place, but grossly overpriced if you are not booking a package through German travel agency "Kopfüber Reisen" who have taken over most of the hotel operation anyway. Hotel staff was not really friendly, not even extending a word of welcome upon arrival. Reception was unmanned often. It's not really a hotel as your room will only be cleaned after departure and you will be charged extra for final cleaning. Hot water was not always available at all faucets. Sauna is not well-maintained and the advertised hammam was just one, improperly heated steam bath room. On the positive side, the building has a lot of character, our suite was spacious and the bed was great. It's sad that we encountered indifferent staff and many broken things and services. We'd have loved to go there again, but if management, staff and pricing does not change dramatically, I recommend to avoid the place.

It is a fantastic building! The concept is a little weird though. You can book the hotel directly and pay a steep price for what you get, or during winter season, go via froschreisen or kopfueber and get a weigh better price for the renovated rooms (make sure you get one of those only). The restaurant is maintained by the Frosch team and is excellent for the arrangement, but limited if you book the hotel. The service team is fantastic and really, really friendly, kind and helpful!

Seen from the outside is very nice, although excessively large for the place in which it is located. Maybe a century ago it made sense, oggiun little less, in my opinion. Inside I did not even lucky enough to see it.

Extraordinary building! once of the king of belgium. Now owned by an italian multimilionair. Best place in engadin to go skiing in winter! and great place for any sport in summer time. The hotel is vast!. Still poor in facilities but adding one a day! so who knows what will be new next week!
Localita magnifica! l'albergo è un oggetto straordinario e impressionante. D'estate è un posto fantastico. Lussuoso nelle camere rinnovate, spiccio nelle camere non rinnovate. Bellisssimo.
