A great small and familiar hotel, right in the city center with a great bar, roof terrace, delicious food, large vegan selection and very friendly staff. An absolute insider tip. Highly recommended.

Location, family management, great food, warm and romantic environment, cleanliness good environments. Mountain style I highly recommend.

This is the third time in 3 years I have had the pleasure of staying at the River House Hotel. Each time I have received the highest quality of service. The room are really well laid out with ample space and storage, the food quality is superb and the level of service and attention to detail is fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Andermatt.

Kevin & Sarah run an amazing operation. The location of the hotel couldn't be better (equidistant between Gemsstock and Gütsch) in the center of town. The vibe, their friendliness + hospitality, and the accommodations were excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay there, and am looking forward to coming back.

The River House Boutique is for us the most beautiful hotel in all of Andermatt. The rooms are furnished with a lot of love and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the bar was a "private party" and not accessible to us: (Honestly, we find that it is nicer than the Chedi! We are happy to come back.

The River House Hotel is the perfect place to spend a cozy weekend nested in the mountains. The rooms are charming, well decorated, comfortable and it just feels great relaxing there after a long day on the slopes! Definitely recommended!

Affects the Bar. I haven't been served as badly in a long time as I have been in this Bar! The Waiter really ignored me. I stood at the Bar, had been Looking For eye Contact, for 10-15 Minutes. In the Meantime, he serves another Guest next to me. After I told him I wanted to order something, he goes to the Till comfortably, types something in, scuffs around, does something else. And the Bar was only half filled with Guests. Behavior like That makes me frenzied. He made me feel like I had done that on purpose. 2 Stars I give because another Waiter (in front of him) was nice and attentive to us.

The best place in Andermatt for a good drink and to relax after a day skiing.

A perfect retreat to the mountains to relax and enjoy nature. Very cosy and comfortable hotel rooms. The food menu is good with some delicious House specialities such as the ribs and burgers. The River House Bar is a great place to meet and you will feel very “chilled out”. A great choice of drinks, cocktails, Single Malt Whisky, and local beers to choose from. The combination of regular live music and whisky tasting events, gives The River House a very unique theme in Andermatt.

Wonderful setting on the river, great food, and very nice staff. All newly renovated in a very old, authentic swiss home. The rooms in the B&B are also amazing. I'd recommend this to any friend without hesitation.

So beautiful. Never stayed in a hotel in a ski area so this was a first and it was one of the best days of this year so far!

Everything starts with the warm welcome. Friendly and warm, a cosy environment, a place that breathes history aswell as love and caring. The rooms offer lots of space and have their own character. Great bathroom and shower. Loved the welcome chocolates, fruits and drinks. The bar offers great and tasty bar food, the burgers that Sarah and Kevin prepared had great taste! Interesting choice of local beers ; do try the Appenzeller IPA! And to finish off the evening, ask for t…heir whisky menu. The owners have a well developed love for whiskies, resulting in a very well established whisky list.
In all, a place with a great reputation, where we will be returning! PS. During your breakfast, don't hesitate to get a closer look at the book they made themselves, on the restoration of the old building that was partly used as a pharmacy for many decades. Looking at the evolution of the restoration works only makes you respect the owners more and more.

Very cozy place. Loved the old style feel of it. Service was good and you can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this place. I highly recommend a stay here if u want a romantic getaway and don't need full amenities of a big name hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the River House our first couple of nights in Switzerland on our Honeymoon, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Kevin and Sarah (the owners) truly care about providing you with an enjoyable stay. The breakfast setting is very quiet and personal. This is a great chance to visit with other travelers or just enjoy a peaceful morning meal made up of delicious breads, fresh fruit, cereal, and several beverage options. I would also recommend eating in the restaurant as Sarah is one of the best cooks/chefs you will ever order dinner from. Make sure you try the River House Burger or the Chicken Club Sandwich! The hotel is in a great location to quickly arrive to some great hikes in the summer time. My wife and I plan to visit during the skiing season in the future! If you are looking for an amazing place to stay while you are in Switzerland, then I would recommend visiting Andermatt and staying at the River House Boutique Hotel. 5/5 Rating.

Don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay in Andermatt! It is small, cosy, very, very nice renovated, managed by the owners, great breakfast, very nice rooms, very central, great bar aside, … Thanks a lot for having us!
