This wonderful family owned hotel is a hidden gem! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary abroad and this was our first stop of our trip. The family went above and beyond in making this a wonderful trip for us to remember! Our stay was relaxing, rejuvenating and memorable. Our dinner table was decorated special for us and we were complimented champagne before dinner. The food is amazing! We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant and will return!

Felt like we Were on the Italian Riviera. Just off Lake Lucerne. Cosy Stay. Food is good but Albeli fillet of Morchelssauce is already a bit daring.

This is our 3rd stay which means we love it. A small well run family hotel with lovely views of Lake Lucerne. And right in Weggis so you are only a short walk from ferry, bus or cable car. All our Swiss hikes start from here.

Really good food, the staff was very friendly and breath taking view.

The restaurant terrace has beautiful views over the Lake Lucerne and you can enjoy your meal right next to the water. We arrived outside kitchen hours and had the "small menu", but still received a delicious and sizable meal.

I can't recommend this place enough. We did not stay at the hotel (just a day trip) ; however, we ate at the wonderful restaurant on the water. The food and wine was excellent and the staff were incredible. Shortly after we sat down to eat, my sister realized she had lost her wallet. The owner of the restaurant basically dropped everything to help us look for it, making calls, and even driving me up to the gondola to ask around. Great place! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here over New Years and loved this hotel — it's clearly run by people who love their job and their pleasure in their work shines through: we received a very warm welcome upon arrival and all interactions with the staff were equally warm and friendly. Our room was warm, spacious and really quiet with beautiful views of the lake and if it hadn't been cloudy we'd have been able to see the mountains too! The food in the restaurant was delicious! On New Years Eve they put… on a special menu — I had the steak and it was the best steak I've ever had! The desert was stunning too — in taste and in presentation! Even my green salad starter was really yummy! The Wi-Fi was free and fast and the parking was also free — rather nice after the extortionate price of carparks in Lucerne. A wonderful place to stay and somewhere I would definitely return to.

The art of the reception, arrived late a parking place we were reserved as well as a table in the restaurant, perfect. The setting is beautiful as well as the hotel.

6 of us traveled to Weggis prior to departing on an Avalon Waterways river cruise. It was the best decision we made! Weggis is an incredibly cute and beautiful town! Hotel Gotthard and Resturant staff were all wonderful and attentive! Comfy bed, stunning views! Dinner was incredible! Every bite devine! Breakfast was tastey, plentiful, and fresh. Such a relaxing and beautiful experience!
