We stayed here for a single night on our way from Stockholm to Oslo. It is a good stopping point in between these cities and Karlstad itself is a pretty town, but small. The hotel room was clean and reasonable with good Wi-Fi and a good shower. There is a small bar in the hotel with friendly staff, making that a nice place to have a relaxing drink before dinner. We also had dinner at the hotel and while it was nothing special and served as a buffet, the food was wholesome and reasonably good. The included breakfast was a bit spare, but perhaps this reflected the fact that we were shooting for a very early start when we left.

The best hotell-bed to sleep in and really good tap water to drink from the bathroom as well.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel. It is directly across from the train station and a super short walk to the waterways and restaurants. My room was teeny tiny, but I paid for the twin economy. My friend had a much larger room that was lovely. My room was decorated nicely, super quiet, and had a refrigerator and coffee/tea maker. The breakfast, Fika, and dinner are all included and are AMAZING. Everything is homemade. Their wine is expensive, but across the street is a wine shop with inexpensive wine so we rotated between buying wine across the street and taking it to the park and hanging in the Drott Bar which was lovely.

I actually can’t really complain about anything regarding our stay. The room was nice, staff were very friendly. It was clean, the food was good and it was a really pretty hotel. Probably the best Clarion Collection hotel I have stayed at! The only negative is that the parking is in a different building, but there isn’t really much they can do about that, so I won’t let that affect my rating. I would definitely stay again!

Good location, good transport connection, restaurants and shopping just a stone's throw away. Food: included in the room rate — not much choices so ended up eating out. Rooms: beds are a little bit too wobbly and soft. The TV remote was so filthy/sticky and not many channels on tv, there were only about 5 and signal is bad. Hotel flyers/magazine are all in Swedish language. Cleaning could be improved: hotel floor was so sticky and there was a funny smell in the bathroom… The hotel was good but I would recommend to the management to personalize a bit your service to your guests by placing infos in your room in a language they speak. Those papers in the Flexi glass should have at least an English translation so everyone else will understand.

Nice calm hotel near the city and two steps away from the train station.

Booked this gostishku through booking and sent a request for the opportunity to provide an extra bed for the child and give information about the cost of parking. The order was made in advance, the return answer was received only on arrival-parking costs 130 CZK, is located nearby. From the extra bed we refused, but we were told that it is impossible to refuse. The hotel now has no one to remove this bed from the reserved room for us, and there are no available rooms. We showed on iPad our unanswered from the hotel the correspondence and the woman at the front desk after long comments and remarks to our address, was able to find a double room with two twin beds which we moveded and comfortably slept with our The room was a bit small, with a balcony, a triple enough for more time would be more difficult. The bathroom is small, the hearing is great, the snow-white robes, but clearly overlooked with pillows and dust in poorly accessible places. The bathroom amenities were for one person.
The room rate included dinner up to 21.00 Food and food choices shook us for the worse. Scanty room for food resembled a privokzalnaya dining room on the mestechkovom halt of the Soviet era. Neither the waiters nor the headwaiters we saw and were presented to ourselves. There was nothing to choose from, except from different grades of tea-green or black.
If for dinner we came last, then for breakfast one of the first and we will hold on hour-places would not suffice.

This is an excellent and cozy hotel smack in the heart of the city that I can heartily recommend.

I usually gång out at the bar, mainly because of the cozy atmosphere and the soft music. The bartenders are also incredibly friendly!

Overall good experience looking back to my past visits. This time my room was just in front of the elevator and stairways which of course caused some inconvenient. Anyway good quality and clean.

Super comfortable and clean room; small but nicely built relaxation area (including a sauna and a hydro-massage bath) — excellent for a city stay. The hotel is very quiet despite being in a centrally located area — in 2 minutes from the city centre (Stora Torget) and right across from the central station. The food at both breakfast and dinner was quite good, fresh and with a decent choice of different things. Highly recommended.
