Great Hotel Excellent Service by all staff food was great Pool was wonderful would like to thank the pool staff, restaurant staff and reception staff they were all very accommodating and pleasant to talk to. Staff went out their way to please guests they even had a beautiful birthday cake for my husband on arrival very special. The hotel is not very busy at this time so there is no buffet breakfast to be honest we did not miss it and we totally understand the situation so please do not let this deter you coming to this hotel as the breakfast served was plentiful and delicious. Loved our stay and will definitely return to this hotel.

We visited the hotel during the month of September 2022 and it was such a beautiful premise. Even at first site we felt the room was small but it was surprisingly comfy and almost everything was excellent. The staff was great in their service specially those who were at the restaurant. Food was amazing and filling too. Happy to recommend to another couple.

This review is based on my most recent experience and decided to post my comments in good faith to improve and do justice to people who select this beautiful location for their dream wedding day and pay hard-earned money not to get disappointed. I used to visit this property when this was BROWN’S and used this location for many of my personal and company events. Must say the property is 100% better on its looks, fantastic work by the management but the service on the day I visited (4th August) doesn't fit your standards (food & table service) I have no issues with the menu but what's been given must have 5star standards since it's heritance. The table service was so dam bad, drinks didn't come for ages only one person was attached, the food service boy had a huge attitude God knows why. When questioned about the poor service a boy pointed at the GM and asked me to talk to him, who was enjoying his dinner when the Guests of a paid function was poorly servised. Why should I go to him? Must say the security staff was very professional and helpful the only plus point on that day. Hope you improve on weddings. 👍

A wonderful experience with Heritance Negombo. Exceptional for a quick weekend getaway. The staff was so friendly, professional, and helpful. The spa was serene. Ms. Weyana from the Coco spa did an incredible job. The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They offered us a late checkout without even asking. Every just melts into a bed? It was so amazing! The room was comfortable and had very well thought amenities to go along with it. The staff was so thoughtful they even reminded us if we have collected small things like our phone chargers and such while checkout. The F&B is superb and great quality for the price!

Great service tasty food.

We had our wedding at Heritance Negombo in June 2022. Selecting this venue was one of our best decisions. Hotel staff was friendly and super supportive from the very beginning to the end of the wedding. Banquet hall was really nice and well arranged. We have visited several hotels before make the reservation and I would say Heritance is the best place to have your wedding if you are planning to take the wedding near Negombo. Not as in other hotels, Heritance has a separated wing for the banquet hall, which I haven’t seen in most star class hotels. So the people can enjoy freely inside the banquet, lobby and the lawn without any disturbances from outsiders. Hotel was very spacious and consist of multiple beautiful photo locations, so there was no rush on finding any other locations. Their service was excellent and we couldn’t expect a service better than that. Specially, I would like to thank Mr. Tharaka (F&B Manager) who took care of everything and guided the team to make our day beautiful and memorable.

Arrived today, just for 2 nights. Our honeymoon and they very kindly upgraded us to a superior room. Just eaten in the restaurant and have just eaten the most amazing food, 2 wonderful starters and two curries, washed down with Sri Lanka Lion beer. And such attentive and amazing service, cannot fault it at all and would very highly recommend.

We selected Heritance Negombo as our wedding reception in a very short period. But their service was excellent. Foods were very very tasty even our guests also really happy with the foods. Most special thing in this story was we found a very genuine person Mr. Tharaka (Banquet Coordinator) who made our Heritance experience extra easy, extra special in every possible way. No words to say thank you to him for his excellent job at Heritance. I would highly recommend Heritance Negombo for anyone for a stay or for a wedding. ❤️Thanula & Shalika ❤️

We love it here. This is our 4th time. The staff are fantastic. The food is wonderful. The hopper lady at breakfast is exceptional. The pool staff are attentive and whilst we’ve been here, they’ve had to put up with some pretty rude guests and they have kept their cool. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Plenty of plugs and the sunsets are just breathtaking.

Beautiful morning I visit to Heritance Negombo for the coffee ☕🥧🍰. Swiss Bakery &cafe is one of my favorite place in Negombo area. Best n lovely place. So I ordered coffee and carrot cake 🍰🍰🥧. One of hoster came with her beautiful smile and then I asked few things. Really I don't have words, font know how to thanks (chairman Harry jayawardena) and (Mr. Ranjan stanislaus. ) t those lovely people r amazing even though this difficult time still they treating all the staff. We should hat of to the those people. (Piumi Nisha widunaarachchi) share with me hotel is already closed more than 1year. Some staff having service break. Still they paying full amount of salary. That's really nice thing. I like to add asome word to this. Employees are the key to your success with customers. Treat them will! ". Still we all having deffcult covid situation and those people never forget to look after them. Actually I planning to write this becz human always forget good things… n talking behind. Best Qurantine hotels in Sri Lanka. Great customer service. Everyone welcomes you, friendly humble caring staff willing to help in everyday. They make your stay so perfect and relaxed. F&B got the best fod whether its authentic Sriankan or our favourite western dish.
Also got a great gym and a pool.

I went for high tea with my family few days back. It was disappointing because high tea isn’t served at the hotel, it’s served at the restaurant across the hotel, so the view is the main road. I wasn’t informed about this ahead. The service was good but not worth the amount. We were expecting high tea with a view but instead we get high tea in a restaurant on the road side.

Lovely hotel, delicious food and great service. Staff is very cooperative and friendly.

Had a stay at the property on Aug 28th and their services throughout have been commendable. Amidst a low occupancy Islandwide, Heritance Negombo was at its full swing in terms of friendly staff, cleanliness (adhering to health guidelines), amenities inside the room and their breakfast buffet. Not to mention spectacular beach view from the balcony. Highly recommended for couples and families.

We celebrated our parent's anniversary yesterday! at BlueTan Restaurant. It was great! We always always love your food. No doubts… The staff was friendly! We enjoyed a lot… I still couldn't dine at anyplace better than Heritance. Thank you Heritance! They gave us a very cute cake!

From the info on line and the price of the hotel, I was expecting a 5 * hotel, as this is the impression given. Unfortunately, lots didn't meet with this standard. As I've said, I was left waiting for four hours on arrival, as the room promised had been let to others and they didn't have a room for me; note this had been clarified by phone. The food is of a fair standard, however, there's only a bar or the downstairs restaurant where you can order food from the same menu as is available for room service. This menu is very boring and lacks anything of a 5 * standard; the culinary skills are nothing to write home about either. Housekeeping didn't get to our room before 3pm at the earliest and there's nothing more disappointing on a hotel holiday, than coming back from a couple of hours by the pool to see your room in the same state as it was left before you went to breakfast. Overall, a disappointing stay that showed the hotel to be very mediocre in relation to the blurb you find on websites.

This was the last hotel we stayed at whilst in Sri Lanka. We wanted to stay two days in the surroundings of the airport and the choice of the hotel was a very good one. As the beaches in the area of the airport are not the loveliest ones, with all the facilities in hotel I did not feel the need to go to the beach at all. Similarly to other 5* hotels in Sri Lanka, there is a 30 % surcharge for service and taxes, but the prices are very reasonable. We loved the stay!

We’ve been here four nights now and will be here for four more nights. Great service. Clean rooms. Breakfast and evening buffet are very good and have lots of variety. I would totally recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful views of the beach from every room in the hotel. The pool is a bit too small compared to the size of the hotel. The rooms were rather small as well. The blue chair in the room, although it looks nice was very uncomfortable to sit in for more than 5 minutes. Food was really good. The pork curry and rice option at their restaurant was the best. Their mango ice cream was the highlight of dinner options. Front desk is rather slow to check in and checkout despite it being over staffed.

My main focus was relaxation and the atmosphere here was absolutely that. It was very clean comfortable and the views were serene. The staff was very polite and always helpful making sure I was comfortable. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful hospitality.

The hotel is beautifully located and has an extended sea-front. All rooms are sea facing. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff is courteous and extremely helpful. The food is fabulous, especially the breakfast buffet. Definitely worth a visit!

Came for the buffet. Terrible selection and why is your food cold and excessively sweet? Every dish ranging from chicken to pork to cuttlefish every dish is just really sweet. Dessert selection is an utter waste of time to even explore. Never again.

Just spoke with one of their Reservation officers (Male) regarding some queries related to room rates and one of their promotions which was there at the website. He spoke in the most rudest passive aggressive tone possible. Stating that as far as he is concerned offer is not there but feel free to try it on my own risk when I asked him politely. I'm so furious right now I might not even think about staying this hotel If people such as these are working at your hotel. Truly disappointing.! I have attached the screenshot which was taken on 05-Jan-2018 just to prove my point.

Super location with fantastic sea views! The buffet is super delicious and something for everyone. However, I already find the prices for the lunch buffet at €20 per person a bit high. The service is great and the staff very friendly and helpful! All in all, a visit is worth it.

Stayed here 3 nights. Beautiful place, only newly rebuilt 12 months ago, so everything is brand new. Rooms were lovely, food was perfect, service was great. Good location only 8 km north of the airport. Ideal place to stay on the first few nights or the last few nights of your visit. We hired a motorbike from across the road and went exploring for the day, so that was handy. Overall I was very impressed by this lovely hotel.

Clean and friendly. Bed very comfortable and a/c very effective. Rooms look out on to the beach and the sunset. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as we went to a local bar, but breakfast was as good as we expected. We only stayed the one night as we then moved to a different location.

Heritance negombo is the awesome place to spend your week or weekend as the view from the rooms will give you panoramic view of the Indian ocen…

A lovely clean hotel with helpful, friendly staff. The buffet meals offer a huge choice and every thing is well presented and cooked. Well kept gardens lead directly to the beach and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. Amazing sunsets.

The staff is wonderful. The hotel is new with a local elegant flavor. Recommend you have at least one buffet breakfast and one dinner buffet.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with how amazing the staff were. We went on a day outing with our toddler and I must say from the cleanliness to the food everything was 5 stars.
The staff saw to our every need… even offering to make special food for my daughter. The food was a la carte when we went and it was amazing. I do recommend you try the walnut brownie (heaven! ) We will definitely be visiting again!

This place has a really nice view of the sea. Don't miss the sun-set if you're here around 6pm. Nice hotel and highly recommended. Rates are a little bit high!

Confused planning. Entrances to reception hall is weak. Hall is in-between Hue Hefner's playbook club and a Montessori. Food is meh. Facade Design is to be desired. 1 star for finishing the building well. 1 star for courteous staff.

We went to celebrate our 38th Anniversary at Heritance Negambo. It was the previous Browns beach hotel where our wedding was held on 1979. We went for dinner. And we couldnt believe what the Staff of Heritance Negambo did for us. They Surprised us with a Delicious cake named Happy Anniversary and wished us and celebrated our Anniversary. We were overwhelmed. Thank you Heritance Negambo Hotel and the Staff who gave us one of the Happiest Surprises in our life. Thank you so much. We wil never forget this lovely experience. Nothing like is Kandalama sister hotel and no way near as good. But not a bad place for the areas.

Very comfortable with free Wi-Fi for guests that limit you to 512kbs and a maximum of 2 devices to be connected at one time. Food is brilliant and staff are friendly.

Nothing special about it, bad in rooms dining service. Felt sad to end my wonderful Sri Lanka vacation there. One night there and was horrible.

A little pearl in Negombo. We went for sundown to see from the bar which is amazing when it dark the light are very cosily designed. Maximum points for the bar designe and light expert! The restaurant is very nice, great food, we had a la carte and professional service. The best place in the neighborhood!

Amazing place…! Great service from the reception to room service to pool service! Everything was so perfect. Must admire the warm and friendly service of the staff and people at the restaurant were more than willing to prepare vegetarian options for me. Loved the room design and balcony. Highly recommend.

We made the booking via the official website, and when the reached the destination it was breathtaking. The ambiance is great with a warm welcome ushered by smiling faces. The management upgraded us to a Premium room even-though the booking was made for a deluxe. The room and the amenities as promised were great, and the view from the room is a picture to capture in your mind forever. The food was great with a good spread. The pool is relaxing and you could enjoy a drink or two at the pool-bar (even better). Both check-in and check-out was smooth and all expectations met.
