Foods was very tasty. Nice hotel for gateway from busy life. Near to beach, very clean enviorment.

Such a beautiful place with nice staff around. Food was amazing. Can recommend to any one who wants to experience true Sri Lankan hospitality.

Never make a booking at this place. They are nothing but a group of cheaters. When we try to do the booking with their site, they never give the details of direct bookings. Instead they give links of third party sites like agoda, booking. Com.
And when we do the booking with the credit cards which give very high promotions, they do not give the discount at all. They are totally misleading their local guests. Never ever get trapped!

Avoid Avoid… Too expensive and not worth for money. Been to Club villa with kids and ordered frice and fish from kids menu. The fried fish was not fresh and not edible. They make worst food for kids menu since they don't know wether it is fresh or not to complain.

As a frequent traveller to sri lanka { not by choice but to visit my husbands family } I would recommend that when looking at accomodation you notice how similar the hotel rooms are, eg, they mostly have tiled floors and old bathrooms they offer loads of facilities that you will need to check if they work and they will charge you for everything. This place has the same quality rooms as a 2 star hotel is way overpriced, noisy location, offers a slow and basic breakfast and will hit you up for money every chance they get, watch the taxes and charges and even if you change you mind they will charge you for that — beware and book somewhere else.

Loved everything about Club Villa from the open gardens to the four poster beds and the railway line which is between the Villa and the beach! We stayed there for 2 days in Jan and it was the most relaxing time of the trip. One can chill in the swimming pool or just hop across to the beach to witness magical sunsets. If you are planning to visit Bentota, do plan a stay at Club Villa. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely mesmerised by beautiful and cozy hotel and I’m glad I chose this place for my time in Bentota. Clean and well attended with nice and helpful staff. Needless to say, the interior design of this Bawa hotel is simply brilliant. You can access to the beach over a railway and also enjoy seeing commuting trains passing in front of your eyes from time to time. The town centre is accessible along this railway as well.

Real chilled out place. The rooms are spacious compared to rooms of most hotels around this area, the service isn't that great but their food and everything else seems to work out fine. The sunsets are what you can expect when your here.

Colonial style, former private house, designed in the 70s by Sri Lanka's most famous architect. Short walk from the more secluded end of bentota beach. Beautiful gardens, and an excellent breakfast.

We loved the design of the hotel, done by the legendary Geoffrey Bawa, and its location is perfect!   The staff is attentive to every detail and the atmosphere is ideal for a relaxing stay in Bentota. We were only there for one night, but next time we hope to stay a little bit longer to enjoy everything this beautiful hotel has to offer.

We went for a day out to this hotel, beach and everything was really nice. we ordered following. I will share images what they provided. 6 egg fried rice, (just small EGG FREID RICE portion Rs1400 — they said they feel like expensive and reduced to Rs. 1000 per person) 5 portion mixed seafood deviled, — Rs. 8000 (its like 2 portion and full of tomato, capsicum and onion 2 portion button mushroom deviled, Rs2000 (same like above one) 2 beer, Rs400 each 3 mix fruit juice, Rs450 each ( day room for Rs. 5000 they didnt even mentioned it in the bill. (something fishy) total bill was Rs. 25, 075 (unbelievable) per person cost is Rs. 4179.00 may be they thought we are idiots, we could go for a 5 star hotel buffet. Vivanta by taj also few meters away.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at Club Villa and wished it could have been longer… the property is a Geoffrey Bawa design and the owners have continued the 'tropical modernist' theme throughout. It will be pleasing to anyone who appreciates interior design. Our standard room on the ground floor has a little private patio, perfect for a g&t sundowner. The room had really high ceilings with a four poster bed and vintage fixtures in the bathroom. The linens were top quality. Our half board rate included a pre-dinner cocktail, a delicious 4 course dinner and amazing breakfast. The pool and gardens are so tranquil and lovely, the furthest we ventured was the secluded beach opposite the hotel, accessed via the railway which runs along the edge of the hotel. Service was 5 star too. We couldn't think of anyway to fault this place — I guess the only point that may deter potential guests may be the fact that the trains pass through right along the edge of the garden… however, we found it quite exciting and novel, the trundling sound was quite atmospheric! It's worth the money.

Fabulous boutique hotel, excellent food and wonderful hosts. Can't praise it enough!
