Best location, right infront of the beach, rooms are a bit worn out and sometimes there are some insects but all is ok, breakfast is light, towels are thin, staff is friendly.

I had the pleasure to join the Peacock Hotel team for one night. The team was absolutely amazing. Such a friendly team. Beautiful view. I slept well and had one yummy fish. I came from a very Lush hotel and stayed at the peacock. The service and friendly staff over ruled the 5 star hotel. I will def be back. Thank you guys. Much Love x.

Right on the beach, great breakfast …

At the end of one of the biggest beaches and crowded this area of Sri Lanka. The location is of course beautiful. The breakfast is good but not very abundant. The table service is slow but in the end we found them to be in line with the timing of this part of the island. Recommended!

The staff is not friendly, tried to deceive, and indeed in all of Sri Lanka. The island is minimally developed with regard to service services, but it's pretty expensive to stay here. Spoils the mood is that ALMOST every local you see a walking wallet and tries either to deceive you and to impose their services. The Sri Lankans have not cute smiling Asian. Be vigilant, read the reviews everywhere and everything. Understand that because of the level of life, they are forced to behave this way, but everything has a limit. If there is a choice between Sri Lanka and Thailand — in Thailand better and safer on the roads, you can easily rent a bike (preferably local), in contrast to Sri, going on roads where you don't know will come back alive or not.

Nice hotel on the ocean. In the restaurant delicious. The evening seafood grill. Cook cool. It was fun in new year's eve. Beautifully shone all the lanterns.

Beach view, see breeze and closeness to the sea of this hotel is enchanting. Food is freshly prepare and tasty. Foods prices are fair too. I work in galle harbour these days so I searched all this area and found the best room charges with facilities included in here. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Specially staff member Mr. Amindu gave us a good service during stay. Thank you Peacock Hotel hope to see you soon again and again.

Lovely cosy room with balcony (#15). A convenient shower. Wonderful view of the beach. Air conditioning is almost not included, as Windows on 2 sides — quickly ventilated. Prepare delicious, the staff priyany.

Loved the kitchen, you can choose fresh fish, cook very tasty. Cozy, attentive staff, hospitable host :). We'll definitely come back!

That eating was delicious. Bets expensive but delicious. I can't say anything about the rooms, as I didn't live there.

We did not sleep but we use the free sunbeds and the bar. :) suggested for a stop to the beach.

Value for money, Good "budget hotel. " clean rooms, hotel is directly on the beach with sea facing balconies to relax. Warm, hospitable and friendly staff. Great sea food n drinks. Nice sun beds with beach umbrela to relax.

The room the view the comfort cleanliness space and friendliness is all top quality here at a very affordable reasonable price! Close to gall Dutch fort and enough away from the noise of the road you will really adore this location. Very happy with our stay!

Average size bedroom for a cheap price facing the sea. Air-conditioning unit was leaking on the second day and had to turn it off, resulting in a very warm night. General Manager was very helpful and tried to do everything he could. Gave 3 stars becos of its prime location, else would have rated it lower.

Only good thing about the hotel is the view from the balcony! But there are so many other hotels on the beach with better service, tastier food and reasonable prices. Avoid this one!

Restaurant welcoming and personal care. Price without exaggeration the feet in the water. Grilled fish is recommended.

Room was exactly as expected for budget accommodation, reasonably clean and there was a large bathroom with plenty of hot water, and the AC worked well. Breakfast was tasty, dinner was overpriced. Mostly I wouldn't stay there again as a female because there seemed to be several gentleman associated (I use that word because they seemed to be more lurking than working) that constantly stared at my friend and I, not in a comfortable way. I have spent almost a year traveling through Asia, yet still felt their eyes in a way that made me not want to lounge in my bikini. If you are a couple or men, should be a good place to stay.

Went to Peacock on 13 April night after having dinner at Dallawella. Excellent place and this hotel is on the beach. Staff is very kind and I must mention to you Mr. Geethika Siriwardena who manages the whole hotel is a very gentle GOD fearing man. Anyone who is going there, first talk to Geethika, he will surely look after you. Thanks.

Well located. Right on the beach. BBQ dinner was fantastic. Had a good time. All those comes with a price tag of just under 60 bucks. We will visit again for sure. But the staff service is not good enough as I expected.

Plus the hotel is that it is located directly on the beach. Another plus is not. Not too expensive, not too tasty, not too clean and with minimal service. Very, very average.
