Really great hostel with awesome facilities. I only giving it a four star because there no restaurants close by, but there is a kitchen and a well stocked shopping center close by. But I will definitely go back!

We had the private double room and a nice stay there. Reasonable price for the private double Room. We had to wait 1 hour for check in after arriving more than 2 hours after official check in time, because of some spontaneous late check out. Haven’t felt treated good in that situation. Not really good organization from the staff and owner. But the owner is friendly and has some good information about the area and Sri Lankan culture in general. Location is bad, far away from the main city, means you have to walk far or take tuktuk for everything. View is existing but not even close to good. Kitchen and fridge provided but just essentials. No tea towels. Bathroom clean, shower powerful and warm. Wet smell at some places in the hostel, but probably normal for this area (much rain). After all I can recommend this hostel!
