Participated one of my relative's wedding function. Sorry to say that one of the bad expieriance ever in my life. Unprofessional banquet staff. Waiters are clearing used welcome drinks glasses like සල්ගාදු hotel waiters. Putting their all fingers to the glasses and removed. One waiter took 8nos glasses using his fingers. And im really wondering this guys are bringing one clearence trolly inside the hall during the event for the clearence. Waited more than 30mnts for water. No one came and asked even. Then I decided to go the water filter. They dont know service at all.
Management should think of staff training and development side. Please consider this …!

Excellent location to relax with your family and friends. The food is scrumptious, staff are so friendly and up to standard. The rooms are excellent and cosy too. I will recommend the peradeniya rest house is the best.

I had my sisters wedding there. Good place for a wedding function. And prices are not very high as well. Old resort, but now it has been renovated properly. Good for accommodations too.

Good Sri Lankan buffet and a selection of western food from the menu. Child friendly and nice place to eat. Did not book into rooms as we were passing by.

I write this review to people who are looking for a best place for engagement around Kandy! Peradeniya rest house is a symble of excellent service and delicious food! Specially I would like to mention Mr. Vitharana and his team did a real good job on my engagement today! It’s a really cool place!

I had a wonderful experience atthis place. Very nice tasty food. I had my wedding function at this place. The staff is really good. Interior designs and lightning systems of the wedding halls are marvelous.

Royal Rosandale Banquet — Royal Rest House are well organized three Banquet halls where wedding functions could be held at affordable prices. Very good food and other relevant facilities are also provided by the organisation simultaneously.

Situated in front of the botanical garden. Quality and tasty food is there. There is a takeaway counter as well. Bar is open till around 10.00pm. Even in the bar area minimum disturbances. Only downside is that parking spaces get filled up quickly.

Good Food with a nice ambience and helpful staff. The location has ample parking and situated in a convenient place close by the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya. They have buffet for lunch and dinner at a moderate price and the menu is excellent. Also the taste of the food is very good. Lots of locals and foreign tourists visit the place due to the taste In addition to the restaurant, they have the facilities for over night stays too. I saw a little swimming pool as well, so you have the chance to be chilled there as well If you visit the Botanical Garden, do not forget to enjoy your lunch here. It's just opposite the Garden.

Very nice and clean place. We had lunch and they don’t have friendly service. The food was quiet good, and the prices seems reasonable compared to the fact. But some toilets were not worked when I was there. In general we had a good time, again. For a wedding they have 3 halls main ballroom is ideal. They can go up-to 350 paxs. Wedding plates are reasonable. They are giving almost everything free.

This is a decent place for a family for a dine-out! Foods are very good! Friendly service! Price is affordable!

I stayed one night on 06.04.2018. This is a very Dirty place. Barth rooms are broken including the comod. Dirty linens. This can’t be recommended for over night stay. Very poor house keeping. Staff is not friendly at all. Room service telephone is switched off after 11 pm. It was really a very bad place to stay.

We went for a wedding functio last day & enjoyed very well. Meals are very tasty and the palce also keeping they as traditional way as used to.

Popular place with local and foreign people. Best place in Peradeniya to stay, wedding, etc… Pleasant surrounding. Hospital, royal botanical garden, railway station are very close.

Located next to the Peradeniya gardens, this ids a very decent place to have a meal. They have a very buffet and a takeaway service. Rpices are reasonable too.

Hotel opposite National Park. I used to be super. Now a few "tired". 5-7 years. In general for one night nothing, and to live a few days-do not recommend.

The guards are not polite and helpful for the visitors. They are atleast not ready to keep an empty bag of a visitor at the guard room for a couple of hours. I've visit this place more than 7 times only for wedding functions and we've faced power outages at almost every time.

Its situated just infront of peradeniya botanical garden, but bit noisy. One of best places for food in kandy. Rooms were clean. Some sort of scenery still possible even in a crowded place. Staff is friendly. Has 3 wedding halls. De serve well in weddings. They provide some decorations for free. Arrangement was excellent. They have to parking spaces. When all 3 halls occupied parking will be a problem. Light decorations are good for night functions.

Cool place little contested if you visit in wedding days. Very limited parking space. Has a pub that you can have a short drink. Very closer to peradeniya botnical garden. Good foods higher quality and reasonable cost but limited options. Interior also superb. 15min drive from mahanuwara town.

Good place to dine. Near the botanical gardens. Good parking space. Alana Sri Lankan food is always on the buffet. There is alacarte me menu as well with fair variety. Good helpful staff. But slow service. Ala carte takes more than 30 minutes to come. I think that is not acceptable. Table service is bit slower They do have child chairs but have to wait patiently for it to come after request.

Buffet, wine drinks are calculated separately. Taste is OK, the price is not inflated high, fit food + environment. The main foods are divided into: rice, fried powder, chicken, fish, Sri Lan cooking vegetables, vegetable salad, and fruit salad. These varieties are relatively basic foods compared to Chinese buffets. Environment and service is very good.

It is a very nice place to spend a weekend near historical "Peradeniya Botanical Garden". Reasonal prices with a nice customer service & good foods.

On site parking is available, Good place to grab a bite if you are visiting Royal botanical Gardens, right next to it.

Has three reception halls with decent facilities also has lunch and a swimming pool. Good spot to have a beer and chill there is also a calipso band.

We stepped in here for a quick bite but turned out to be a bad idea. The 'shawarmas' they offered were just ordinary chicken wraps. The 'cappuccino' had the taste of burnt coffee. When we asked for the bill, the waiter whispered the amount to me. I insisted for a bill and he only brought a bill for less than half the amount and wrote the amount by hand on the top. I insisted a second time for a proper bill and then he brought another bill with the remaining amount. When I gave my card, he came back saying the machine wasn't working and that we had to pay cash. Avoid this place and go elsewhere if you can.

Five star for the great food, friendly atmosphere and its conveniently located.
