2in1 Kandy Hostel Hostel

I really enjoyed my short stay in 2in1. I was the only guest at that time and I'm grateful for the care and concern Chandana had provided me with. The breakfast was quite tasty and the hostel was clean and tidy. There were no bugs in my room during my stay so that was really comforting and you can be guaranteed of the safety in this place. While the water pressure wasn't great when I took a bath (or sometimes hot), the location is really nicely on top of a hill so you have a really nice view from the huge balcony, and there is plenty of space to relax, read a book and enjoy.
Anyway, since it was my fist visit to Kandy Chandana drove me around with a good price in his very very clean fan. He gave me several recommendations i. E. Where he'd suggest to see the Sirigiya rock and what to do/ see and where to eat.
All in all, this was really a nice spot to stay in Kandy!

We had a very nice stay, the balcony and view is great, comfy bed, good internet, plenty of restaurants around to eat, helpful staff and only a short ride to the town.

My stay here was incredible! Not only was the place very clean and comfortable, but the hospitality and service here was also exceptional. Wish I could've stayed more than two days. If you're traveling to Kandy, this is definitely the place to stay.

I stayed two nights in the hostel and was the only guest at that time — I totally didn't mind as I was looking for a relaxed weekend. The hostel is very clean and tidy, the sleeping rooms are super nice and comfortable and not packed like in some other hostel's dorm rooms. They have a small kitchen and fridge for your use, and breakfast can also be provided at a cost of 2USD (coffee and tea is free anyway).
The location is really nicely on top of a hill so you have a really nice view from the huge balcony, and there is plenty of space to relax, read a book and enjoy. It's a bit too far to walk in the city center, but it's just a short drive with a bus or tuktuk.
The best part about the hostel are however the owners! They are super friendly and made me feel very welcome and at home. Since it was my fist visit to Kandy they came me several recommendations about what to do/ see and where to eat. But most of all — they organised a last minute day trip to the Knuckles range for me, where I could do some adventure hiking. Absolutely stunning! I can really recommend this if you are staying in Kandy. Anyway the owners are very knowledgeable about the surroundings of Kandy and the whole island and are able to organise tours to almost any place you wish to go!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at 2in1. This has been the best hostel/homestay experience we've had in our month of travels in Sri Lanka. A HUGE thanks to our wonderful hosts. Here’s what I loved: The beautiful, comfortable beds. Framed and featuring not only mosquito nets, but private curtains. Even though we were here during a very hot season, the house stayed cool and the fan in our room kept us very comfortable. There is no air conditioning. Clean! So very, very clean. Randika, the young man who helps at the house, was always working diligently to be sure the kitchen, bathrooms and public spaces were perfect. Friendly, professional service. The staff have mastered the art of staying close enough to respond to our questions or needs and offer travel help and insights, but never felt cloying. They gave us our quiet space, but were instantly available when we needed them. The kitchen is equipped with more gadgets and conveniences than I expected. We were able to easily cook our own meals when we wanted to. Plus, they provided freebies like tea and milk powder. A washing machine we could use for just 150 a load. Simple, delicious breakfast of egg, papaya, banana, tea/coffee and toast and jam for just 250 LKR. Big, lockable wardrobes in our bedroom. Veranda with a GORGEOUS view of the surrounding hills. We even had monkeys come visit us one day! FAST Wi-Fi in the living areas and on the veranda.

Nice place and close to Sri Dalada Maligawa.

We stayed at 2in1 for two nights and felt immediately at home thanks to the amazing Sri Lankan hospitality from owners Charaka and Ling. They helped us with anything and everything including where to get the best local food in town, best activities to do in the area, how to use the local bus system, and even recommendations for the rest of our trip around the country. The view from the balcony is unparalleled in Kandy and the location allows you to be out of the busyness of the city while able to get downtown in minutes. This homestay is just getting started but with hosts of this calibre it will be the place to stay in Kandy in no time. Thanks for everything guys and all the best in the future!
