We really wanted to get away from the city. Now the need is like the need to breathe. Sri Lanka of course is just paradise super clean calm people with a great colonial Dutch culture. I can see that so many foreigners have come to stay and make beautiful places to eat and stay. Kikili means hen and so…. But really there are so many hotels and homestay and Airbnb not all can make it happen. I get present to the reality of intent desire and skill to create an ambience, attract the right people do all those little things that make the stay so memorable you want to exchange your existing life for this one. My brain just comes alive, like I was finally living. Kikili house was all that for me. I am definitely staying here for a week in the future, to just sit in the sofas and read read write write, enjoy the long lazy breakfast, walk over to Dutch town for lunch and just listen to jazz all evening writing reading creating. And it's not expensive so feels totally doable.
The best place l have ever stayed in so welcoming people always smiling and happy to help you with anything. Felt very at home great bed and pillow s x x would always go back to stay five stars all round x x x.
