WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
I did book a Junior Suite as a birthday surprise for my husband (hotel was informed about the event). When we arrived there was a cold welcome, we got the keys and when we entered the room I noticed that it was not the category I booked (it was a double room). Back to reception, they told me that they don´t have a Junior Suite available but they will deduct the different from the price. No sorry no explanation. I was just downgraded but hey, so what… I asked for the GM as the reception staff was more than unfriendly and unable to handle the situation. No GM at the hotel nor available by phone. Finally, we left the hotel and went to another place, very nice and welcoming. The GM never called me as promised.
I need to add that I´m working in luxury hotel business and I do travel a lot. But never had a bad experience as this. And even more sad if it is a birthday surprise : — (So, if you are looking for a welcoming and professional hotel stay in one of the small family-owned houses around.
