The Gentlemen at the reception were very very friendly, helped me a lot with my heavy suitcase up the stairs. The balcony of mine was where I loved the style, very Spanish, almost embracing the Plaza Santa Cruz. Had three nights with the great peace of mind I had.

The attention from the two receptionists we saw was spectacular. Super friendly and attentive people. The room was clean, and the hostel very well located. The only thing to say something is that you have to climb many stairs, and that to open the safe every time you had to throw 1o.

Excellent hostel. It is located in the heart of the centre of Madrid, close to the Plaza Mayor. Its employees are characterized by its friendliness, always attentive and pending of the guest. The quality/price ratio is balanced. It has a nice view and it is also close to the door of the sun. I'll be back when I get back to Madrid.

The hostel is something old but relation quality price is excellent. Plus they are very attentive and we were able to book one more night without a problem!

Very good attention. There is always someone at 24 hour reception if you need something and they cater to you with a lot of kindness (and even made recommendations about the city). I was surprised at how well equipped the rooms are, with hairdryer, shampoo, TV, safe, warm linen. For the price, I thought I would have to bring up my own towels or share community bath, but the truth I was pleasantly surprised. To repeat the next time in Madrid:)

That's great. In the middle and for a good price. The best the receptionist: he explained everything in detail and told us several places in the city to go and he certainly has right.

Traveling from the US and stayed here for its price and location. Very nice staff. Front desk clerk during the day is extremely nice and helpful.

Don't go there if you are intending to go out at night and under the age of 50 unless you wear pillows on your shoes they are all over you about noise. Nice enough people but kicked whole team out of rooms because a couple lads got in late one night. No refund and left us stranded.

We like to have the charm of being a bit old and with all amenities, very central and you can make use of the salons for playing cards or watching TV.
