The Good *** keep in mind that this is a "hostel" don't expect hotel level, it's a converted house. all in all it was clean and nice but the only good thing about this place it's the location… that is all. it is located few minutes from "puerta del sol" that has metro stations that make travel easy but you can walk by foot to most places you need to visit anyway. and the Wi-Fi was good. *** The Bad *** * Well… I ordered the room with "shared bathroom" what it means in real life is a room without windows at all, added 60 euro's to switch to a room with a shower that had external window. * the staff woman was "ok" it's the best I can say, rude a bit but I can live with that. * with it being in the "del sol" don't expect it to be quiet at night (but that was expected). * They only gave us one key so we had trouble when we didn't travel together. * the place is overpriced when compared to the price in their website, learned it too late, but all in all when you do check this is a cheap option to stay in central location in madrid.

Lovers of Midnight Express, this hotel is for you! Cell-room with no windows, WC and shower common to the whole floor, small bed (if you make six feet or more, you sleep the legs outside) and soft.
Above the door of the cell, a sliding panel allows to aerate a little, because it is an oven!
Only downside, we hear even better people in the hallway and the neon will give a bluish and aggressive hue to your nights. If you ever cross the staff, you'll be treated like a dung.
€70 per night for that? Go to a real hotel for that price.

Horrible place, despite the great location. The rooms DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS! You can choose between opening a pannel over the door and get tons of light and noise from the hall every time someone goes to the common WC during the night, or close it and slowly roast due to the heat. Of course, you can try the ceiling fan, but it only works when the lights are on. Zero intimacy — I sneezed and I could clearly hear a "bless you" coming from the room in front of ours. Two common showers that don't work at the same time and a single common WC for the whole hotel. Very old beds and matresses which are barely 1, 80m long (5'11"). I could barely sleep, and it wasn't even cheap.

It looks like a crazy house, the owner squeals, screams and sings early. They do not have education or treat customers well, the smell is unpleasant, the cleanliness and facilities leaves a lot to be desired not to mention the decor that can not be more horrendous. A real psychiatric! I would not recommend staying there or to my worst enemy!

Price is right. Can compare for an EZ for 25 — ca 95 — and more not the health and comfort for an EZ in a hotel. But if I want to stay cheap, my EZ was Vida. Clean / window (though to the courtyard, but this is common in Madrid and Barcelona. Also no street noise) sink/SOAP/hand and bath towel. Oky, no Chair and not a table. But if I want to sleep for one or 2 nights, cheap full oky. Staff spoke good English And was very friendly. Elevator. Luggage was kept free of charge. Safe costs 1 — reception although not a 24-hour reception, but the keys comes with you at any time in and out.
