Stayed for 4 nights. Really enjoyed the hotel. Pool — Great set up, always got room for you so no fighting for a lounger. Drinks hut good too. Shuttle Bus — The free shuttle bus to the beach is great. The young lad who was running us down was brilliant and always made sure we got a lift. The bus drops you at the bottom end of the beaches, as they can't go to the top (agreement with bus services). We found this okay as the 15min walk looking over the beaches towards the town i…s great. You can always take the service bus from the hotel (think it was 2 Euro), and that takes you all the way into the town. Just make sure you press the button at Dolce bus stop as the service bus will only take this route if it knows someone is there). Room — Happy with the room and air con worked well. Room service polite. Some people have complained about the walk to the rooms, but we didn't find it a problem (it's a big hotel). Room had loungers on the back with views. Breakfast — Breakfast okay, service was good and cleaned up very quick. A few items changed on different days. (No beans on one day). We had breakfast outside every morning overlooking the coast. Great set up and views. Evening meal — We arrived late in the evening on the first day so had a bite to eat at the bar. Burgers and sandwiches were nice.
On our last we chose to eat at the hotel again. It was a Mediterranean theme, and only 2 out of 4 of us wanted it, so other 2 were going to have bar food again. We were told we couldn't sit in the same place (2 would be upstairs and 2 down). I found this a bit disappointing, and we weren't the only family that had wanted this that night. We ended up all going upstairs having bar food instead. The freshly made sushi from the lad on the sushi bar was very nice. Overall, considering we arrived at Barcelona just after the Terrorist attack at La Rambla, and one of them was still on the loose, we never felt worried, and was nice to see a security guard at the hotel too. Sitges has some lovely bars and restaurants too. Would be happy to return, hopefully to try the golf course right next to the hotel next time.
