The facilities are not adequate to cater to as many people as a host and have to put tables in hallways, in front of dorms, so that people sit down to eat. The cleanliness leaves to be desired; the shower water is not hot; there is not enough staff working and the director is never in the hostel. Our group experience has been unique, because we will not return.

I just loved the stay there. The employees were great. The rooms are very clean. The location is fantastic I recommend.

Very cool hostel, a lot of work has been done to make it hip and interesting, must have been done by an artist. Stayed in a mixed dorm that had its own air conditioner and very large storage. The showers were clean and spacious.

The Loft provided a lovely basic place to stay for the night. Rooms were very clean and beds were great, not to mention this is possibly the best smelling hostel I have ever stayed in. In saying that some of the facilities were a bit substandard, including the toilet and shower which were not cleaned often enough and were quite average. The location is good, with not too far of a walk to more central city but away from the noise. The atmosphere at the hostel is not like those of the other Barcelona hostels I stayed at, if youre looking for a quiet place to relax in Barcelona then this is perfect for you, if you would like to stay up past 10:30 making really any noise as a group or getting to know fellow travelers then The Loft probably is not the place for you. All up was decent value for money and I'd also like to add that the artwork on the walls inside and in the terrace area is absolutely awesome!

One of the best hostels I have stayed in — liked it so much I booked an extra day! Helpful friendly staff on duty 24/7. Very trendy atmosphere with excellent art installations. Full, large kitchen with clean work stations for many people at the same time, along with all the proper utensils for cooking almost any meal. Great private beds with curtains — even in the 12 person dorm it felt very private. Air conditioning system in every room with large lockers underneath beds. Outdoor eating area equipped with lounge chairs and tables open til 8 — great place to meet to other travelers. Very close to buses, taxis and metro stations to anywhere in the city and close to all the tourists sites, shopping, and parks. The showers are clean and the toilets might be small for some.

This one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in! The staff are friendly, the facilities are spacious and clean (the back garden area is amazing! ), and the walls are covered in amazing artwork. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough to prevent you from having to wait for others to finish before you do your own cooking. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable (with a curtain for added privacy). Thanks for an amazing time, I will definitely return next time I am in Barcelona!

Overall the stay at the loft hotel was good! Clean rooms and nice people. The hostel is in the city center which is why we picked it!

Clean and comfortable, nice patio in the back and big kitchen to cook. People were super nice.

I forgive The Loft Hostel with a Star, but I only forgive it because there was free WI-FI.
Rest: What should I say?
When I arrived at our 10-room I was shocked and speechless!
We were expected by a Room with no Daylight, littering Beds, a Blood-smeared curtain, moldy Mattresses and broken Air Conditioning. The Highlight, however, was a Door that led to a Backyard where rat Traps stood, it smelled of Runoff and just dirty. We just wanted to close the Door to save ourselves from the Stench, which was not possible because the Door was broken and stopped closing.
Since we didn't want to pay our €10 Deposit for it, we immediately informed the reception and demanded that the Door be repaired as quickly as possible because we didn't want to sleep in this Room with the door open.
The Lady wanted us to sleep in this Room one Night anyway because nothing had ever happened because of the Defective Door.
We insisted on getting a new Room, which we got after further Discussions. That then meant a Six-room for nine People …
Two could then dodge onto the Couch in a Room, but I shared a 90cm Bed with a Friend. The Night was not pleasant! The next Day I got a Folding Bed, which was too short for me and just so fit into the Gap between the remaining Beds.
Enough to our Sleeping Situation.
Now a few more Comments about our "Breakfast.

The chance to get to know people from all over the world in a lively and sparkling atmosphere as a little spartan, make this youth hostel a very interesting place.
The Kitchen is cleaner than most hostels where I happened to stay. The outdoor patio covered for half, is large and pleasant, as well as the staff that in many languages is affable and prepared!

A good place to stay, highly recommended! The rooms are spacious, each bed has its connection to electricity and a lamp of light;the staff very friendly, the hostel is very well located (approx. 20 minutes from la rambla and 15 of the sagrada familia)

It's very good. It has good kitchen equipment and facilities, library and patio with tables. Breakfast paying… some ear No TV.

We stayed in private room with excellent bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need and also has a patio. The. Location is very good too. Close to all means of transportation.

The comfort of the rooms is good, kitchen available. Clean bathroom and toilet.
Super the key to the room: a plastic bracelet like at the pool. We never forget it.
The curtains at the level of each bed allow a little privacy.
The restaurant offers good beers and curious dishes. Nice waiters.

I was in 2 different rooms with private bathroom. In the first leaked the roof of the bathroom if Q offered a second. Both are dark with uncomfortable beds and very strong smell to sewer in the bathroom (the second did not walk the toilet). From the 4 nights we stayed they never went to clean or change the towels.
The receptionist is friendly and attentive but the place is a mess.

This hostel is in perfect proximity to lots of Barcelona sights and nightlife. My friends and I started most of our nights drinking a bottle of wine in the back patio area and meeting fellow tourists from all over. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Make sure to grab a beer or bite to eat at the restaurant on the ground floor called La Menuda!

In itself a good hostel for short stays and if you only find a place to sleep. The hostel is clean and well located. It has a communal kitchen and a terrace. The rooms are large and the beds each have curtains (so you have some privacy).
The toilets were not so great. For more than 20 persons per floor there were only two toilets, without separation by sex.
Also the breakfast was not great from the offer (only toast with jam and cereal).
Value for money however is good.

The beds were pretty good. The breakfast was mostly sweet food. The bar at/next to the hostel has very nice beers. All pretty good for the price.

Beautiful decor. Spacious shared rooms. Bunk beds were solid — no noise from people moving around on them. Bunk beds also had curtains you could close to have privacy. The hostel is clean and smells nice. Showers were spacious. There's a terrace outside and seating areas inside. A kitchen to cook in and the fridge is organised and clean. Staff at the desk are friendly and helpful.

Location is really central. I'm living in the mixed dorm room and it's clean and nice. Toilets are also not crowded. The staff are friendly. The door key is cool. The only setback is sometimes people find it difficult to open the door hahaha.

The hostel is in a very good place. There is a bar in the front with great beer. The people were very polite in my room, in general was forbidden to make noise after 22:00. The room is ample and the bed is very flies seeing the quality of other hostels. I just took a star because of the cleaning mainly in the bathrooms and the place to take a shower. I think that can be improved. Thanks!

The Loft naming suggest just below the roof, however the very small room was in the basement! Despite the small clean room the bed was good with privacy curtains. Basic breakfast for an additional charge. Location is very good.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is nice. Just I took a private room and this is not the thing to do in the hostel because there was too little insulation and private bathrooms, more water poured on the wall than on me. I think, however, that in the dormitories to several with friends this is ideal for good times in Barcelona.

The hostel is clean and the beds are small and comfortable. The staff is very nice and they give you recommendations. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a quiet hostel.

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed! The staff was super friendly, it has a big kitchen and a garden. I spent 4 nights there and felt very comfortable and felt like home! Thanks for making the Barcelona trip a good one!

This Hostel is now know as The Loft Hostel. It was my 1st experience of staying in a hostel… and I have to say it was certainly good. I had a lower bunk in a 10 bed mixed dorm. My bed was comfy. It never was noisey and all staff and guests were friendly. At 1st I thought I'd be the oldest but I met a couple from Sweden (staying in a twin room) of a similar age. I'd stay in a hostel again.

The worst hostel hostel in the world please don't go … or I have not returned the money and they should drop the face of shame I have not made a complaint but should have put but I have come out of there so bad and pcoo rested… it turns out that I go there and pay for my accommodation for two days… the room's a disaster, clothes hanging out Panties to one side of bed to another … but well, my bed well… as I leave the bag where I leave the sheets on the bed without putting them yet because I had to do things outside and already spend all day outside, but the fellow I saw enter were Korean, the greet and watched as I had my stuff in there and I fit… it came the next day the seven of the morning to rest something… and I see that my bed is occupied by one and took the taste to draw savannas of mine clean out of the bag, or even picked up his own to sleep if they prefer my bed… a shame we're going… I say this to the receptionist and disappointing to not get embarrassed with the treatment I have given, and I was already the other time there nor will I return the money! And I walked out of there with my suitcase waiting to be disculparan and nothing… I hope you read this review call me and I enter the money if they have a pcoo of dignity because I was not able to make use of my bed, used my sheets and I didn't get any bonus… so if you want to meet without site and have a bad experience I advise this hostel.

Far away from everything and cramped room.

Perfect location, lovely staff, however lack of hot water in the showers, cramped and stuffy rooms with broken air conditioning really put affected the stay.

Good however there was no hot water in the shower.

A service quality-price excellent. The hostel is very clean both the rooms and the services and facilities in general. The agent that attends is very friendly and the truth that it is a site highly recommended to spend the night at an affordable price and taste.

Factory gardens was a brilliant place to stay — staff were lovely, utilities were great and the garden was a beautiful place to hang out in. Air con was a bit dodgy but when we complained they were quick to respond. Can't reccomend it enough.

I have been in this ostell for 3 days and I think it is perfect if you are looking for a good place, cheap price and well located! It is close to La Pedrera and Sagrata Famila, there are a few metro station near the ostell so if you do not want to walk you can get easy and fasty the main attraction of Barcelona. The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean and also the bathrooms. Down stairs there is a kitchen where you can have the breakfast with only 2, 90€ (They give you choises and you prepare everything by yourself). If you are travelling around the world (lucky you! ) may be you like to save money and according to me this ostell is perfect also because you can use the kitchen anytime for cooking instead of eating outside (BARCELONA IS QUITE EXPENCIVE).

Factory garden hostel is a hostel located in the heart of Barcelona just a few minutes from the Sagrada Familia, and well connected with the rest of the city, having close to several metro stations. The hostel is very nice, the staff friendly and helpful. Clean amenities and spacious dorms.
With only 2, 90 euros you can have breakfast in the hostel's kitchen, which offers different ingredients, the whole thing is self service.
Anyway, I recommend this hostel to date is the best I've been given the value for money.
