How is possible, on reception to stay a m an who refused to say a word in english?

The 2nd worst accommodation experience so far! 1) Tiny space that you are completely not allowed to put and open your luggage 2) Toilet is just next to the bed without covering wall 3) Central air-conditioning but at the same time blanket is thin as paper. You are not able to adjust temperature 4) No shower gel and shampoo provided. The staff said they provide hand washing gel for bath which is outside the showering area. So when you take bath, you need to get some gel outside in your wet body.

Staff is friendly. Location is fine. However, there is many flaws. Firstly, It is unexpected that a toilet (I mean is just a toilet, not a washroom), which has no door or curtain, and located at the end of the bed. That mean you will see the toilet when you lay on the bed… unbelievable… what’s more? The flushing is not strong enough… Secondly, the bathroom is very tiny. Sink is outside the bathroom and just on the left hand side of bed. The most ridiculous design is… the shampoo and body wash is above the sink (which mean when you take bath, you have to open the door and get the shampoo every time). Thirdly, air conditioners are central system which cannot be tuned by ourself. It is awful that blanket is much thinner than my underwear. We are freezing at the night time. It was noted that the room is small when I booked this hostel but I didn’t expect that the design of the washroom is separated into the room which I feel very disgusting and dirty.

Attention very bad. We arrive and pay first the tax Barna, in addition to the room and the first surprise was that the receptionist, between vacilada dialectics and understanding language, told us that, as there wasn't enough money xa to return to us, we do not devolvia… staying, I understand, the returns as a tip. We entered the room and the second surprise was that, in addition to the bed, our bed, had 2 queen beds plus (it sounded like a shared room). Again we went to the receptionist and asked if our room had to sleep more people… Between bad sides and bullshit dialecticas, we understood that our room was not shared (I ask for the Wi-Fi were big words, neither answered, just pointed to the password). It was clear that he was a lord very little helpful and perhaps we were giving excessive work… Never saw him more at the reception. In fact, there is no one from the afternoon-night, or at 8'30 in the morning, when we left the keys in l countertop, leaving the crappy hostel. The room was not small, Xk was 4 people (even though only we two). There are fantastic views to the road, and a pub just under the hostel, xa that you can sleep during the night with the noise of the city. The windows are not fully closed, the light enters and is quite dirty on the terrace. The bathroom had no shampoo or soap (only hand soap… less bad) and it was extremely small. The bed… normal, xo I don't know I could rest up x the noise of the street.

Good location. Simple accomodation. It did the job.

Hostel need to give more info that some rooms dont have window.

Terrible smell. The bathrooms lost water and the beds about to drop… To avoid…

I've never had a worse room than this one. We called it "the hole. " There was virtually no window. It was locked (see photo) and when you opened it you looked into a smelly exhaust shaft (see photo). The associated bathroom also had neither windows nor ventilation (see photo). The only ventilation option was to the hallway. You first have to come up with the idea that a room could not have a window! If someone turned around in bed, everything wobbled. Our room had a jail atmosphere and I can do without it on holiday. The only positive thing about Hostalet Barcelona was the friendly staff. In addition, the bed was made daily in our cell and the waste bin was emptied in the bathroom. "The hole" was also quite quiet — but a faint consolation in the given circumstances. Definitely NOT recommended!

Right in the heart of a busy shopping district, everything at your doorstep. But surprisingly not noisy inside. The room is nice and clean (although the room size itself is a bit smaller then what I'm use to) good prices, right in the action, close to public transport. A win win situation. A good choice for couples or individual not so much for families.

Bcp of noise flushing, no window.

Great price considering how expensive private Rooms are in Barcelona. The staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They also cleaned the rooms daily and the common areas. Granted the building can be loud but that's what you get with these older buildings. It's not like they can help that. Lots of great spots in the neighborhood and it was nice to come back to a quieter part of town.

Is a good place, good people and good location to enjoy Barcelona. But the price is totally high, it is better to make some improvement concerning the rooms or reduce the price.

Very nice conditions and very caring hosts. Absolutely recommended!

Need of renovation. A lot of noise fe pipe, door. But good and not expensive.

Very Cozy Hostel. Sometimes noisy when the windows are open and your room heads towards the Street. AC in every room. The 4 bed rooms even have private bathrooms. Rooms cleaned daily, which is not common for hostels. Supermarkets nearby. Metrostation 'Clinic Hospital' just a 5 minutes walk from the Hostel. Kitchen for your own use open from 9AM to 10PM.

4* Quality at 2* Prices I highly recommend this hidden gem! A relatively small hotel (10 rooms in total), in a good area, which gives it a warm, cosy and relaxed feel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful; they do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms are spotlessly clean; there’s even a small communal kitchen to make you feel right at home! Basically, I couldn’t praise this place enough! Great location (near metro/buses) and a superb service – an excellent hotel! If you’re on a budget yet expect high standards of service and cleanliness in a central location, recommend Hostalet Barcelona, L’Eixample.

We stayed for the weekend and us to love. Very correct rooms, and the treatment we received was excellent. We think back as soon as we can and that is why we recommend it.
