This historic hostal has beautiful mosaic floors, lovely decorated hallways, and clean facilities. The room had its own air conditioning system, a sink and a shower. The toilets were just across the hall, and we never had to wait for one. Best of all, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful with meats, cheeses, cereal, croissants, juice, fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Great location, and great value for your money.

The hostel is very good. Spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable beds, nothing to envy a 2-3 star hotel.

From the pros-convenient location, to major attractions in the area of 20 minutes walk (Sagrada Familia), to Plaça Catalunya 5 minutes. Very polite and pleasant staff. Speak Spanish, Russian, English. The room is relatively clean. The house is old, beautiful ceremonial. Delicious breakfasts, all for sandwiches, a couple of kinds of cheese, sausages, yogurts, desserts. There were no changes in the menu during the week. The coffee machine is available up to 12 nights and is free of charge. There is a safe in the room. Cons-exclusively household. Very little light in the room, dim overall and a light bulb directed to the mirror (single without bathroom but with sink), in that very sink only cold water is supplied. There are only two outlets on the room, and one of them has a TV plug. So the bed has only one socket. Grab the splitter. Air conditioning with switching on and off problems. The Windows overlook the well. And most importantly, very, very noisy. In the room literally hear everything, at the reception conversations, entrances and exits from the hostel, flushing toilets, the noise of water from what botcho washes. Fetch ready that sounds will end hours at 11-12 pm and start hours at seven in the morning. Very narrow bathrooms, if you two meters tall, it will be difficult to house on the toilet, the knees hit into the wall. All the cons concern single rooms without bathroom, perhaps in rooms with bath situation is better.

Very nice place to stay, close to the city center but in a semi-quiet area. Hosts are always very friendly and helpful when needed. Bathrooms are a bit narrow. The hotel is cleaned daily, rooms included. Breakfast is basic, meaning you will probably find what you expect.

House with Solera in the center. Metro Urquinaona. Area with cafes and some restaurant. It offers rooms of various prices, with or without bathroom. The common bathrooms are very estrechitos but the shower is functional and comfortable. Although small, very nice the room with bathroom that has ample shower. There is a very cozy common room where you can have a fruit or read the newspaper. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of salty and sweet (the latter less good). A ten who when he prepares breakfast a little warms the tortilla in the micro. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice and cozy. Centrally located 400m from Plaza Catalunya and the Arc de Triomphe. Good and abundant breakfast included (€20) clean room, good bed and sheets complimentary toiletries. Careful attention, thanks Enrico! I hope to return to BNC (No strike: (and can see the Holy Family) advisable.

Very clean, in a beautiful old building with solidity seen in everything. Very conveniently located, extremely helpful staff with maps, directions and advice. It was our home away from home for six days in October 2017.

Very nice place to stay! Historical building and rooms equipped in vintage style. Don't expect luxury, but if you like hotels with soul, it's here! 4* only due to to some noise coming from the water pump. Otherwise 5*. Very clean. Cleaning everyday. Very good breakfast and very, very nice stuff!

We must not forget that it is a pension but starting from that base and with the prices in Barcelona, it is not bad at all; Forget about extra services etc, but if you want to pay for decent sleep and in a nice clean place this is the site; My parents stayed here and for this price, it's much better than any standard room from another hotel that you can find.

Yesterday I stayed in the hostel. Actually I was expected bad conditions and so because of the good price, but I was really nice surprised. It is a beautiful place in one old stylisch building, everything was clean, the stuff was friendly and it has great location.

Hostal Girona is located 5 min walk from Urquinaona metro station, 10 min walk from plaza Catalonia. The service is perfect, and always kind to give advises about Barcelona. The room is small however includes everything you need after a long day. A small balcony will help you start the day while looking to the quiet Carrer De Girona street.

This place came highly recommend by a friend, and I am very happy that I stayed here. Charming old building in the heart of Barcelona. We had a very big room with a great balcony to hang out on during ciesta time. Five days and 300 euros well worth it. Definitely will stay here again.

Easy to find. Grand entrance, but once you pass the doorstep…
Reception lady on her cellphone. Never stopped to greet us. We had to stop her. Told us ''Room not ready, put your luggage here''. Had to ask at what time room would be ready. Another customer was waiting to be checked out. Receptionist did not pay her any attention, ignored her and continued walking up and down the hallway chatting on her cellphone. Worst reception and most rude we ever got! When we got back around 3PM. Same receptionnist looked at us like she had never seen us and asked us what we wanted! A room I said. She answered we have none! I handed her over my reservation with nothing else to say. Showed us our room, asked for our passports and my husband asked when she would bring them back? Soon she answered. She never returned… He had to go and ask to get them back. No soap at the sink and no shampoo in shower. The balcony had 2 big air-con units on it. No place to sit out and the noise at night from passing cars and garbage collectors on the street kept us from sleeping all night. To top this, our bed still had that one long round pillow from 30 years ago. Needless to say, had a bed to sleep in and that was it. At $105/night, cheap but not worth the economy! And rudeness came for FREE!

The hotel is very centrally located in a good area. The staff is very nice. Unfortunately can (/ must) you hear everything what happens at night in the rooms around, because it is extremely thin. People with mild sleep or couples the value put on privacy is not to recommend this hotel. The view from the Windows runs on a Betongwand, or in the stairwell. (in the 2nd case comes in not really fresh air when you open the window) But by far not sensational price Leistungstechnisch quite ok.

Very well located, nice building, although the rooms are small are to sleep and take a bath. Very good care both of the empleadoa and of the owners.

Good value for money. The water pressure in the shower was not so cool, but the place had an amazing atmosphere and lobby, and the staff are very nice. It feels like an apartment.

Clean, very nice design of the rooms and common areas. Inside the rooms are very small showers is a chubby person just does not fit, but a shower on a floor is clean, very spacious, with new repair.
