Wonderful hotel. Fantastic staff. Lovely air conditioned and spacious rooms. Absolutely top notch food. Beautiful roof terrace. Situated away from the busy areas of the city but within easy distance of almost everything. The only thing I could possibly fault was the, erm, "lack of audio privacy" when it came to the en suite. In fact, it was a room that amplified all noise within. Bear that in mind.

The place is overall very nice. The receptionist is so friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is the service you get at the restaurant but I think that is the culture in Spain in general. The rooms are clean and very private. I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, good food and bar. Slightly out of the business / tourist area but I had my bicycle to get me around so was perfect. Close to tube station if you need it.

The rooms are small soundproofing the shower rooms st a review the toilet flush worked very poorly.

Great hotel. Modern. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Metro and grocery stores just steps away. Loved the complimentary coffee and pastries daily from 5 to 7 when we were around. About a 15 minute walk from La Rambla… or 2 subway stops… which was fine because we didn't need to do it more than once. The only thing lacking was a pool (and only bc we were at the hotel for a while). Otherwise, it was great. Would recommend this hotel.

The truth is that I went to this hotel for a few talks and I can't speak either of the rooms or the restaurant, hahaha, but the décor and attention since you cross the door great. I find it a central hotel with a lot of charm, they play live music, there is the grand piano. Come on, that gives me good vibes. There is no fuss and it is cozy at the same time as elegant.

Had to clean out spiders from the bedsheets. Bad smell in room, bad smell of bed sheets. Caused allergy. Noisy ventilation in room. The good: nice toiletries — but doesn't make up for the rest. Cannot recommend unfortunately. Looked good at entrance but that's it.

The bar is certainly not the best…
He offered us olives and chips that we hadn't ordered with our drinks and then paid €9!
In Italy Of course you do not dream to pay so much especially if you have not ordered!

Nice terrace and cocktail bar centrally located in Barcelona. Good value for money.

A nice hotel for guests and non-guests, where you can have a drink, next to the fireplace while listening to piano music, or take it on the terrace enjoying the views and sounds of the fountain. A luxury!

Even though I rated the HOTEL "5 stars" on both Yelp & Trip Advisor — — — I would advise everyone to steer clear of this Tourist Trap restaurant/bar. 17 Euros for a mediocre breakfast buffet just doesn't make sense — — — we ate a wonderful AYCE (all you can eat) buffet breakfast at the Eurostars Segovia that costs only 9 Euros (hotel guests) and 11.50 Euros (non-guests). That buffet in Segovia had 3-4x the selections of the Villa Emilia.

We went to spend a few days and…
1. We have taken a very tiny pet and have put a bed full of stains, broken… a real disgust!
2. In the bathroom, (if you go) you have to take: toothbrush, bathing cap and bathrobe because they do not put any of those things. They only put soaps and towels because they have no choice but to put them.
3. When we arrived we had to go down to the restaurant (floor 0) to for a pileup of food and water XQ the dog did not put it.
In short a 0, we'll never come back.
I hope you serve to think better to go or not to go.

Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly personal. Nice bar location with open fire. Rooms quite modern. Very good location in possible walking distance (max. 20 — 30 min. ) from main spots in the city. Even from Camp Nou stadium. Grocery store and subway station 3 min. Away. ATM across the street. Taxis immediately.

Every Saturday I go at night and also on Sunday morning. I like the atmosphere all the decoration and has always called me the attention of perfume I like very much.

The attention was 10, very polite and helpful. The food was great, the factions were a little scarce, but the quality was 10. The meat is one of the best he sees, and Bravas ' cover was great. For dessert, the cheesecake was to die for, very good.
The room smelled very good, the atmosphere was very nice. The bathroom was very clean.

Nice cosy Hotel The Roof bar is realy enjoyable. But it's a bit more expensive in the roof bar. The bar an restaurant downstairs are very pleasant. Close to the Metro.

Lovely hotel. Helpful polite staff with excellent English as my Spanish is very limited. Central location and only 30 minutes (€45) from airport. Clean rooms and lovely roof terrace.

We stayed here for 10 days while our flat was being readied. From the front desk, to the restaurant and bar staff, to the cleaning crew, the Villa Emilia offers a great stay away. They welcomed our dog with a bed in our room, and stored our large travel luggage. The atmosphere is luxurious, while as cozy as your home. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Barcelona, especially if you have a dog.

Hotel really very good. Very close to the center of Barcelona by foot Metro or bus. Atmosphere Super cosy staffs super. A perfect place for a few days in love. Apero concert stay on the spot all in a chic but relaxed atmosphere. In short that of happiness, the small pause "tasted" offered between 17 and 19 hours allow you to rest from your long walks in the capitals before you come out to enjoy the Spanish nights. Can be a single downside on 5 days The breakfast has never changed but the freshness of the products and the service you will soon forget this. Gone let's be honest also a slight technical worries in the shower: The thermostat is not in focus. But frankly it did not spoil our stays. If I return to Barcelona without hesitation I come back here.

Well located if you are touring Barcelona. Very friendly staff. Complimentary pastries and breakfast help make the high price seem almost worth it.

Quiet, clean rooms. Nice rooftop terrace, and decent restaurant downstairs. Unfortunately no balcony in the rooms, and no kettle. Haven't tried roomservice or the wellness options in room yet. Bathroom seems modern and clean, shower is open on one side which results in the floor being quite wet on that side, on a regular base. Neighborhood is quiet at night, and it's close to metro stations.

Great service, nice location not too far from the center and many good restaurants close by. Rooms are very fresh and tidy. Absolutely loved the stay here.

Fantastic little hotel nestled amongst the quieter streets of Barcelona yet only a short walk from some Magic Fountain and bustling Street of Las Ramblas. Lovely friendly staff, clean, tidy and modern in appearance a real gem. Would definitely recommend as a great base from which to explore this Beautiful city. It is perfect. The more difficult in a hotel, you feel that it is your second home. Congratulations to Pere, Tania, Gorka… to the team.

The food was good, but way too much salt, way saltier than anywhere else. The staff was nice and helpful. Very classy interior.

Fantastic Hotel that is very modern and finished to a very high standard. Just a short 10min walk from the Ramblas so nice and central and a stone throw from the L1 line. Service for food and drinks absolutely fantastic and the rooftop terrace is a dream place to wind down after tired feet! Very happy to have stayed at this hotel and it contributed greatly to my experience of Barcelona.

This was a very pleasant hotel. Staff was courteous. Our room was clean and quiet. While it is not located right in the heart of the city, there is a Metro stop less than a block away. We purchased a Barcelona card and used the metro to travel to all the sights we wanted to visit.

Stayed here in October 2015 while attending VMworld! Good location, (3 subway stops — 15 min, from Plaça de Catalunya & Les Rambles), nice rooms, courteous staff — Highly recommended! I would definitely would stay here again.

The Sunday Brunch is delicoso (it's not cheap but worth try it) and its rooftop terrace is one of those sites that you do not know because it is not always up to the flag of people. A site calm and cozy for a drink or a coffee.

A great hotel with friendly staff. It's approx 25mins walk to the Ramblas and there's some cracking restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. A highlight of our stay was the superb breakfast on offer for €10pp.

Very nice and quiet roof top. I recommend their Mojito it is perfect.

The best is the terrace, where you can enjoy a good cava and a lid of cheese served with a good serving, accompanied with bread and olive oil. Exquisite! And the views and music live there is no waste.

They are one of my favorite terraces and the restaurant, besides being beautiful, is an unbeatable quality, both food service.

Excellent hotel located in the Centre of the city (Gran Via is a street) has a fantastic terrace for a drink in the summer nights. Parties there can also be arranged above; It is large enough. Very clean rooms and good service.

Because I am an Indian and they treated us badly and we can't forget it we struggled for freedom.

We've really enjoyed our stay at Villa Emilia. Arriving from the airport was easy via Aerobus which stops at Placa d'Espanya only 6 blocks away. We walked it but if that seems like a long walk with lots luggage you can catch the Metro L1 Red line to the Rocafort station. It's only one stop away and there are elevators at both the Espanya and Rocafort stops. The rooms are a bit small by american standards but comfortable and well accommodated. The bathroom is nice with a great shower and clean modern feel. Service at front desk and restaurants was great, helpful with questions, anythings you need and when you struggle with Spanish (Catalan) they don't mind speaking English. The part we've enjoyed the most is the Bar Zinc Terrace and Restaurant. The terrace is gorgeous in the evenings with live music on many days. The wine, Mojitos and Cava are all great but the food is what sold me. Great traditional Manchego cheese, ham and olives. Our favorites on the Terrace menu were the barbecued meat skewers (Pixtos) which are really tender and flavorful and the Mozzerella and Tomato salad. In the restaurant on first floor try the duck (Magrat de Pato). While on a map the location looks a bit away from the Ramblas, and other tourist spots it's within 10-15 minutes of most places via Metro.
