Unbelievable experience for a 4 Star hotel. Old sagging uncomfortable bed causing back pain and lack of rest. Bugs on towels Old broken cabinets Torn towels To top it off. Room placed next to housekeeping closet, experiencing constant annoying noise from workers and activities.

Fantastic hotel with great food, views from rooftop and excellent location.

The staff were very welcoming, willing to assist and knowledgeable about the city espcially Front Desk Agent "Andrea".

We’ve just checked out from this really nice hotel. Staff was kind and caring. The room we have been assigned to was neat, spacious and the bed were soooo confortable! Breakfast totally worth the price, you have everything you might want — and even more! We had an enjoyable stay at your property and might come back if we return to Barcelona!

The hotel is OK. Staff really nice and friendly. But nothing special. Nice location but a little bit far from the beach. And there is no pool and the rooftop is really small and you need to buy drinks to stay there because it's a restaurant…

Stayed here for two nights. Nice hotel with modern decor. Room was very cold and even though I switched off AC it automatically turned on again, to set a temperature 19C all the time… I felt so cold and had to call a maintenance guy. He fixed it so it would not turn on automatically but my room was still very cold. I asked a housekeeper to bring an extra blanket for the night, a lady came right away and prepared a bed for me. Even though the temperature in the room was perfectly comfortable fo me, the staff were very nice and kind to take care of the problems and I appreciate their attention to details.

Welcoming staff, beautiful modern decor, great ambience, comfortable room with an amazing bathroom and a beautiful terrace! Gabriela and Felipa were very nice and attentive at the terrace bar. Felipa made a great recommendation for drinks! Would Defitnetly stay here again.

Great Hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was super too! The beds were so cozy. The shower had great water pressure. We enjoyed our time there and would go back again.

We have arrived here late and we found Elisah with a big smile on her beautiful face. Beside the fast check in she gave some personal advices about places were she eat and was amaaaazing food and sangria. Further in the room we found a great surprise as we are in our honeymoon. The room very big, super amenities and chocolate on our bed. In the room everything beautifully and usefully. Morning a the full American breakfast we found Marisol with fast services and a big smile. Overall experience was very good, we feel that like home. At the end Alex, an amazing Bell Boy, supported us with keeping the luggages and other items very safe.

Very nice hotel that is close to restaurants, shopping and shops. Whether to enjoy tapas, dinner or to do some shopping this is a hotel that suits. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Some rooms have a balcony which mine did not. Hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating.

I had an excellent stay here. The entire service staff were excellent as well. Can't wait to go back.

Fine hotel, but the room seemed more Sheraton than the plush Renaissance that I expected. Room seemed old-fashioned (how many people can use an alarm clock with the old dock that Apple stopped using with the iPhone 4? ) with basic uncarpeted wood floor, desk was a table top, no dresser (just two drawers in closet). Location is good — near bus and Metro and (long) walkable to old city. Overall it was fine, but set your expectations accordingly as a basic Courtyard in the USA would seem plusher.

This hotel is only 15-20 minutes from the airport and about 10-15 minutes from the Cruise Port. The room is small (this is Europe), but beautiful. There is a nice little restaurant in the lobby that serves delicious food (again Europe) and the staff knows what hospitality means… we woke up late the day of check out and told them that we just woke up and needed 1 hour to get out of the room and they kindly allowed us the hour without charging us more… so nice…

Excellent hotel in the center of the city. Quality and attentive service and also own for conventions and other events.

I've stayed here multiple times. The staff is good and the property is clean and maintained. I'm a fan of the location, in a quieter area, centrally located and short walls to the Plaza, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and the Born district. The only negative is the size of my room this time. I've stayed here a few times and the rooms were bigger, this time it's very small (even though I was told I was upgraded).

Comfortable hotel in an excellent part of town. A couple of guests in our party had issues with the plumbing in their rooms. Over all this hotel has wonderful amenities, nice restaurant, bar and a lovely rooftop terrace bar with a view!

Really nice hotel, friendly staff, the bar is great, food is delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. Most of my travelling companions stayed in other hotels and we're super jealous of how convenient and nice this hotel was. I would book here again!

The staff here are the best. I contacted them via email while on the Viking Star. Viking had booked us here for an extended stay after the cruise. The day of our arrival was also our 30th wedding anniversary, so I asked them to have a floral arrangement in the room. Not only did they have a stunningly beautiful floral arrangement waiting, we also found special sweet treats, a bottle of champagne, and an amazing room with a huge balcony overlooking the city. They went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for us!

My husband and I have stayed here several times. All the employees are friendly and professional. We never had any problems and the beds are comfortable. Great location — close to the commuter train station and the metro station.

Not a far walk to Las Ramblas. Super, I mean super people. Thursday and Friday nights during our stay there was live music. Roof top bar is the place to go. Thank you Matthew and Paul at the bar. Very good to us!

The lobby is beautiful and in the heart of the city. Beautiful room and layout. Used Marriott points to offset the cost as their daily rate can get a bit pricey.

A convenient location to many of the sights in Barcelona. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. The food and drinks are substantial and tasty. The atmosphere is friendly and guests mingle freely. We would definitely return.

Acceptable hotel but being in the middle of town lacks atmosphere at a very busy road. More a business hotel than for leisure. As it is hard to get hold on to a taxi be sure to order one upfront.

If you ever find yourself in barcelona and want a fantastic hotel experience, I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing staff, beds that feel like you're sleeping on a cloud made of down, the best water pressure I've ever had in a shower, incredible views from the 8th floor terrace bar, perfect central location, and a delicious bakery across the street to boot. My only complaint is how hard it was to motivate myself to leave the room to explore this amazing city.

The Barcelona Renaissance Hotel is the best Marriott property in the world! The employees are friendly, helpful and kind and the location in Barcelona is excellent! I highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Barcelona.

Wow n wow! So pleased with Marc, our Renaissance Barcelona tour advisor! He highlighted all the "must see" places & the places to eat. He also suggested the 2day Hop on Hop off bus that can take us to these places! Awesome place to stay for our couple of nights post cruise before heading home! It is centrally located and even walking distance to the some places we wanted to see!
And we were so surprised to walked in to a room with a view, a comfortable bed with fresh white lines n comforter! The espresso machine was a bonus! And oh the marble bathroom with all the amenities including a warm bathrobe, sleepers, mouthwash, toothbrush n toothpaste; and even bath salts!
We ordered a quick lunch, the pizza margarita & coke which they say would take 20min but did not arrive! We thought maybe the kitchen was very busy due to there were many tourists like us that arrived at the same time. We waited n waited but we finally called after an hr of waiting (&feeling hungry as well) & found out there was an error in our order (not sure if the order was not placed or something) but they say another 20min. We finally got our lunch after over an hr of waiting! They were so apologetic & also gave us a complementary platter of small round chocolates for dessert! It was worth the wait tho; the pizza was so fresh n delicious; enough for two people! But the coke came in a small bottle, (4oz, as oppose to our 8oz back home).

Great terrace, amazing panoramic view and prices all in all just right for the location. Music in perfect style aperitif at sunset. Nice and friendly waitresses. Great service.

Albergo centrale is very comfortable, great breakfast, staff pleasant and willing to help you on average. Beautiful terrace with breathtaking views. Only critical accommodation and room cleaning.

Stay here for 12 days and loved it nice hotel clean rooms and good stuff everyone helpful. I would stay there again.
