A good hotel in an unbeatable location! Great service
The hotel is in a perfect location: close to the Terminal (old part of Barcelona, but very modernized in terms of restaurants, shops, etc) ; just behind the el Born and very close to the church of Sta Maria del Mar; in front of the Parc of the Ciutadella, in the Avd. Picasso is a street with very little traffic (especially on holiday). It is also close to the Barceloneta, paseo Colón, las Ramblas etc, so that you have all of the Centre of Barcelona at your fingertips from the hotel. We stayed 3 nights in a double room 'executive' that was not very big, but neither small, just enough to not be hopping bags and clothing. The floor carpet, very clean. A very comfortable king bed, although something soft. Duvets single something 'short', a tall person will have problems with the length of the comforters; pillows soft, we use 2 each. The bathroom with integrated shower large, without a bath, with an artichoke large. Amenities correct. Towels very good, dried up a lot. Enough wardrobe. Minibar with many things, and cold weather (wines, etc). A kettle of water and teas without cost (I believe). Desk with armchair and a small table with another armchair. A flat-screen television with a small console connections on the desktop that facilitates the topic if you want to connect the Pc via HDMI or a USB disk; channels enough, etc, double Curtains fulfill their purpose as to prevent the entry of light, at a door to a small balcony that gives to the Avd. Picasso, with views across the Parc de la Ciutadella in front of it. While it is true that there is little traffic and the door/window on the balcony insulates enough, if you pass a bus or many cars, you hear some noise; it didn't bother me much for sleeping because there was no traffic. Perhaps in days there is more traffic. Annoyed me plus the inevitable noise of the heating. Breakfast quite varied and good without being spectacular. The hotel staff is super helpful, very attentive and friendly; from the Reception to the waitresses / waiters at the breakfast and the bar. On the roof they have a pool with hammocks, super cool, and I'm sure in the summer would be appreciated having a bath after walking around the city. The price is right although a little high for what justito of the room. We saw some future offer cheaper. Clear that for foreigners the relationship price/quality/location is unbeatable; this is why almost all of the other guests were German, Russians, Japanese, etc. Wifi throughout the hotel without any problems. We would return without a doubt, although we would ask for room not to give the Avenue for what of that bit of noise.
