Although I haven't booked a room for 5 years, the night we were at it was unbeatable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar/cafeteria part has a lot of charm, but sometimes it seems q needed d staff (once it took us 30 minutes, and once we had problems with some peacocks that got into the enclosure but obviously that's not the fault of the stopper.

It needs comprehensive reform. Small rooms to be 4 star Parador, an extra bed, as we were two adults and a girl, of shame. Large bathroom but not adapted to current times with antique bathtub. The breakfast was very good. Therefore very good value for money. A three-star hotel has more quality than this Parador. So disappointing.

A comfortable, accessible and very clean place with an excellent bar and the best staff. Convenient to the beach and town and very close to the stadium. Very nice!

Ask for room from the Park of Queen Isabel and you will have a unique feeling. You'Ll Be watching TV and the park at the same time.

Good as all the Parador a little bit pricey like all the Parador but the location is very nice.

Although not very central it is an excellent option to spend a few days in Gijón.
As always paradores does not disappoint, good service and friendliness on the part of the staff.
Breakfast was fine with a very nice view, as far as the variety a bit scarce compared to other accommodation in the same chain.

There are better inns. I clean that. And beautiful surroundings.

Just excellent. Comfortable, cosy, quiet (except for the days in which Sporting is played, Porqur El Molinos is very close), very close to the beach, and with the level of paradores.

Quiet. Close to the sea and the center of Gijon.

Situated in a lovely park (Parque Isabella la Catolica). Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. As usual in all parador, the shower is hot and powerful. Didn't eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast. Freshly cooked eggs and bacon, cereals, fresh oj, fresh fruit, cakes, toast jam just about all you could want for breakfast. Free parking. Here in March so not very many guests. Rooms a little on the cold side. Quite a decent walk in to town — thirty minutes slow walk to the old town. Not much around the Parador unless you like football! Recommended.

Amazing setting looking at the Isabel la Católica Park and right where the little lake. Family treatment. Recommended.

The service is very friendly and correct, the rooms are clean, they are spacious and comfortable, the location is great, next to the beach and the Molinon. The only thing to improve would be the dinner, maybe we were not lucky, but we thought the restaurant was going to be fine and the food was not up to par.

I know a few national inns and it is true that there are improvements, but in general I give them good score. Gijón is not going to be the exception. Located in an urban environment, but pleasant, attached to the park of Isabel the Catholic. These are places worth enjoying on occasion.

The staff is very attentive but the building needs to be renovated. In the access to the dining room there is no ramp, only staircase (although if machine)

The hostel is very well located, surrounded by a very nice park. The staff was very attentive and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The only bad thing is that you see that you need a reform, as it looks quite aging.

Place with quiet and cozy atmosphere, with nice classical decor. The workers are all very friendly and attentive. The food is fabulous.

Very handsome place to take something, but the attention leaves it to be desired. They should hire more staff. A shame.

Juped! We booked back on 30 August for a double room for tonight 15 September … this was to be the highlight of our accommodation stay during a three week visit to Spain … imagine our surprise to be told they only had rooms left with two single beds! Not to be trusted … take care with confirmation of any bookings that you make at this Parador.

I would rate it as 2 star in the UK. Wifi is rubbish, breakfast is average, rooms are well below standard and they charge you 170 quid. Much better hotels within a few hundred yards. This place is a con.

Set in an old Mill on the edge of the city this is a great Parador to visit if visiting Gijón. Close to the beach, parks and the city centre this is a fantastic place to base yourself. We love the parador's, the locations, food and service. This is a good one located close but not within an urban areas.

Good location, great staff, good food and, generally, typical Parador high standard.

Rooms and bathroom perfect. No view but access to the park, beach and downtown is very easy. That said, Heavenly place very well located. On the other hand the Wi-Fi is disastrous, a shame.

Stayed here for one night. The room was clean and beautifully presented. There was a good selection of high quality toiletries in the bathroom and the towels were plentiful. The hotel itself used to be a mill and there's still enough of the old building there that you can get an impression of the history of the place. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we enjoyed watching the birds in the park as we ate it. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the man in the restaurant who told us all about the different Asturian cheeses on the cheese board that we ordered.

Overrated. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. In particular, Wi-Fi absolutely not working, and sink that leaked.

Nice surroundings and views of the park. The restaurant is ok and provide the opportunity to taste local delicacies.

We went to this Parador redeeming a Smartbox and believe that the decision was more than successful.
A room big and clean, some with the luck to have views of the Isabel la Católica Park Lake, where you can see ducks, swans and even peacocks from your window.
Breakfast, as you would expect at a Parador, was outstanding: varied, it topped up every few minutes and you could even taste desserts typical of the place.
Its location is very good, to ones few seconds of the Park of Isabel the Catholic, beside the stadium of the Molinon and to some 10-15 minutes walk of the beach.

Best hostel in the North. Smell the wood, Apple and has a management team with more harmony, education, sensitivity and professionalism, together with Cangas de Alcalá de Henares for all Ref and wave.

By work usually spend in Gijon 4 months a year, why is that I know all the hotels in the city and for my last trip to Gijon decided to give me a treat and booked the Parador. My surprise was when this hotel is the worst of Gijón where I've been, for nothing is special, room not feel clean, smelled food, since the views they gave to the roof of the restaurant, the parking of the hotel. Insufficient vacancies. They made us pay a supplement by reason of the concert of Bruce Springteen in Gijón when even had been at the concert. The location of the hotel bad, far from the beach and the Centre.
The hotel's bar does not open until 11:00 so if you do not want to pay €16 paston for the buffet even you can take a sad cafe at 9 in the morning. Bathroom with too little light, the WC collides with the door, and generally quite old. The hotel is more of a 3 star hotel than a hostel. The elevator seems the forklift, scary! Gives me the feeling that this parador is guilty of: "bird of passage, shotgun" know that people won't come back to stay at this hotel anymore and gives them equal fee €120 and not to provide services according to the price. But clearly they have that your never going to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The best, the location. Very quiet, in a beautiful park, full of birds (ducks, geese, peacocks), and a short walk from the beach.

I was travelling with my husband and 1 year old child and we were given the room over the laundry. We had to leave the room during the day as it was completely full of 'steam' from the laundry and it left the whole room somewhat damp. We couldn't change room as the hotel was full. The place is lovely, lovely breakfast etc. But if you stay there make sure to ask where the room is located.
