Hotel ubicado cerca de la estación de tren de Gijon y de la playa Poniente, junto al Acuario de Gijon. Aunque no cuenta con muchas habitaciones son amplias y camas muy cómodas. Tienen una cafetería en la que si pides simplemente una coca cola te ponen una tapa muy variada con gran cantidad de cosas con la que puedes desayunar o tomar el aperitivo perfectamente.

Servicio correcto acompañado de tapas abundantes con la consumición.

Me gusta ir allí por la amabilidad y los pinchos.

It's a good hotel and very cheap. Good cleaning and the service is very good. The hotel cafeteria is good for breakfast.

We were very comfortable in the hotel. It is very good located since you have right next to the beach. Also animal friendly, I went with my dog and no problems. Recommended.

It is a bittersweet feeling: the staff very good, the cafeteria is very good and the food rich.
But I want to talk about room 126 which is very small for two people plus a pet (Teckel). Having booked two months in advance we could have been given a bigger room.
Maintenance is missing in this room.

Value for money, exorbitant. It doesn't have air conditioning, so you have to open the window and that's when you get eaten by mosquitoes. A week without being able to sleep. When I talk to the cleaning service, they leave me insecticide. Another thing, glued balconies, you get cigarette smoke from the apartment next door. The adjoining people talking and smoking until the early hours of the morning, all this because they don't have air conditioning. In short, I do not recommend it.

Small and central hotel. We were in a room for three people. Quite spacious and with a double bed and a simple bed, very comfortable. Good bathroom and all pretty clean. A very good service from all the staff. They gave us all the information we needed. You can walk around on foot. A highly recommended hotel. Good value for money.

Excellent hotel to have a relaxed night stay at Gijon next to an excellent restaurant. The city has a malecon full of life where people. Goea to have a walk or by bike. Take a. Walk and enjoy the night life of Gijon, one of the nicest cities in Asturias.

This is a very friendly hotel. The staff are all very nice helpful and very friendly. The owner goes that extra mile to make their guests feel welcome.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and everywhere is spotless. Great value for the prices. Food was enjoyable, and a good selection of drinks. The coffee was excellent. Always received a plate of sandwiches and crisps when ordering a drink.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a cheap budget holiday. Great value for money.

Since many years we come here when we visit Gijon. The deal is good, the rooms are very nice, usually quiet and with few noises. The best thing that is next to the beach and the aquarium, especially if you come with kids. There are also a couple of parks close by and a alimerca if you have to buy something. They have parking, or you have a public one on the side that is usually hollow. The railway museum is right next door if you are interested in the topic. With the breakfast they give very good tapas and have a kitchen if you want to have tapas something.

I stayed two nights per work trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a cafeteria bar where you have breakfast, a drink, tapas, portions, combined dishes, … And next to the beach!

It's in a quiet area. It has a public parking right in front. The staff are very friendly and their cafeteria is great. It has a cider bar of land Astur two steps away. Whenever I go to work in Asturias I stayed there. It is also very well priced.

One of the first hotels Q admitted dogs. The owners are lovely and very attentive. Its terrace is ideal for breakfast giving you the Solecito and put many and good skewers. If you carry dog will be welcome and there is always water for them.

Hotel Simple is close to the beach. Very good attention. It has private garage that come in well because parking out there is tricky.

I stayed for a weekend and I have to say that my opinion about the hotel is totally positive. To start we arrived 2 hours before check in time, and we were not put any glue and they had the room ready. The staff at the front desk were the only one I tried, very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. To put a small paste would be that the bed was a little short, 1, 80m long, would not be more than it was bigger because nowadays that height is easily exceeded. About the location pretty good. In 15 minutes walking quietly along the promenade of the Poniente beach you are in the center. In addition it is easy to find to park very close to the hotel and without having to pay. I'll go back to Gijón and repeat for sure.

Hotel with cafeteria in the low, use for EVERYONE. For a single coffee with ice they put "tapa" a mini French toast, a pinchito of tortilla and a kind of donut. All this with terrace service for only 1, €40

I loved the experience in this hotel, not this in all the Mogollon if not a tad away but a 5 minute walk from the Center.
No doubt on our next visit to Gijon we will go back to the Polar.
In the bar they serve good snacks.

We touched street side room with a lot of traffic noise.
The room despite being old was clean.
The bad thing, the garage that for €10 you have to climb the equivalent of two floors on foot with the suitcases.

The hotel is wonderful, the Wi-Fi works luxury without cuts and full milk, impeccable cleanliness, the personal treatment of 10. They always have a smile to receive you, take care of you and fire you. The situation is great as it is at the foot of the beach and you can go anywhere walking without any hurry. I'll be back without hesitation.

I only had a few drinks there, for maybe an hour or two, but everything was fine. Nothing important to say, a nice place well located.

Very reasonable price, attentive and friendly treatment, and strategic location, cons: not account with guarded parking although there is one public free front and is not central, the rooms are rather small but enough for a getaway to the city.

Excellent place to take something eb the terrace the Sunday by the tomorrow, is allows the entry of pets.

The truth that a care, cleaning very good, has a cafeteria very varied and a terrace.
Also worth mentioning is a few meters from the poniente Beach, close the Arbeyal Beach and its proximity to the Centre of Gijón.

I was in 2014 and it was a very pleasant stay. Close to everything, the perfect room, the bathroom great, the reception is super friendly and their coffee shop is excellent. We liked it so much that we return in October.

Shit! If you are going in a couple of them already decide you need to sleep and if a bed of 1.35 I came or not… because when I made the booking call and ask the price and if they had camamatrimonial, I was told that if… we go up to the habiatcion and had two beds, we went down to ask and tells the receptionist that if I had two beds but they were 1.35 and that we could sleep in a the two and the other not to use it… that we were going to charge more or less (what I was missing) the mattress softer than melted margarine to make a cake… and tomorrow as dire as I slept, and the bathroom…

We hosted a weekend, and the truth was fantastic, the room and bathroom were combines large terrace with views, very comfortable room and welcoming staff the most friendly and attentive and the price very economical 45 euros a day I recommend this hotel without a doubt.

I really like this hotel.

I was in Christmas of this year. The hotel is well located and is quite affordable. They allow small pets, something that is very grateful. The very spacious room and good views. The only problem with the room is that pipes could be heard whenever someone used water at some upper floor (only belongs to the hotel first floor if I remember correctly).
The situation is good, in 10 minutes gone in the Centre of Gijón.
The perfect reception service.
