Fantastic hotel inside a historic building. Very spacious and clean rooms. The only flaw is the absence of air conditioning. Friendly staff and always helpful.

Ok for a couple of nights. No safe in room and no tea making facilities. Small fridge. Bed ok. Room with view of a wall. But very good location. Just 5 minutes walk over bridge to seven streets.

It is a central hotel with parking, good price and good service. We were a group of 15 people with kids at Easter and it was great. Attentive and spacious rooms. If I came back I wouldn't think of it to visit again.

What a perfect location! We travelling by train across northern Spain when we stayed at this hostal. Close to both the RENFE and the FEVE stations this hostal was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Located in the centre of town near the river it is an easy walk to most of the key sites. Great friendly service as well!

I stayed at Hostal Begona in Nov 2011. There were three of us, and it was our first time in Bilbao. The hostal is conveniently located near the Abando train station, its about five minutes walk. The person at the front desk spoke very good English, I think his name is Fernando. He was very friendly and helpful; he gave us maps and answered all our questions. The room was very clean and we were given three beds; it was a very pleasant stay/experience. Fernando and the other receptionists were very helpful, and they added a personal touch to make our stay plesant and memorable. The hostal is a good location, very close to the metro, we walked almost everywhere, even at nite we felt safe. There were plenty of places to eat close by. I can't think of anything bad, I'd go back there again in a heart beat. Oh, the price is very reasonable.

The truth is after search and looking around on the internet, I think I was right squarely in the election. I was with my partner in October, and we spend 3 nights better impossible. Price/quality ratio is excellent. It is a hostel that has nothing to envy to a hotel. Very quiet (given to a pedestrian street), very central, very clean, spacious, very nice treatment. Is it recomieno to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Bilbao. I have recommended it be up to my parents.!.!
