Great hotel, a Munk residence in the past. Big hallway and okay bedrooms. Breakfast: many food options with typical buffet. Great hotel although, We had booked two single beds online, but when we got there it was mistaken with one double bed. We then asked for two single beds then we were directed to a room with smoke smell.

I loved it! It's great, it's an ancient monastery. Stately, and quaint. Well located, with pool, lovely people working, everything very clean and in bed you sleep great!
The bathroom have to reform a little still, if that were the case, instead of being the 4 star hotel, I think I would have 5. My review is very positive, I would definitely repeat!

On the Internet it looked good. The front desk staff is very nice. So far so good. The bad, I have reduced mobility, and I find that the room was quite far from reception. When I arrive to the room my surprise because there are no plugs near the headboard of the bed (for me important for having to plug in an apnea machine). The hotel with swimming pool, for your access put ramp, but with a lot of unevenness. And, despite having on the ground floor many rooms this hotel, when I tried and I say I tried because that is what stayed, going to breakfast, you had to use stairs. There will be people who like the hotel, it is not ugly, but my experience was nefarious, I did not ask for a book of claims for not wasting time on something that they were not going to fix me, but my disenchantment was major.

CAUTION! Be carreful with your personal belongings. My tablet was stolen by the cleaning staff. I left my tablet on my bed and quickly left my room and checked out to make a business meeting. I immediately realized my tablet was missing when I opened my computer bag 30 minutes later. I was not worried and called the hotel to tell them I would come by to pick it up later in the day. They told me they had no tablet that was found and the cleaning crew found nothing? The tablet was old 4 years old and nothing special. The hotel acted like I was making up this claim which was very insulting. This was my experience at this hotel.

This is a very beautiful hotel. Located in a very nice location couple of meters of the old City. The people in the hotel always have a smile and are ready to help you and support you. Also needs a tiny repairs but don't have to give so much attention. I give five stars because it is as it is. Simple and beautiful.

Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. I don't give it 5 stars because of the bad insulation of the windows and being on a cobblestone street the rolling noise of cars can become annoying. They will be the cons of being located the hotel in an old monastery.

A very pleasant and quiet hotel. Room equipment was fine and we were completely satisfied.
Except for the high parking fees from the hotel (13€/day) everything was ok.

A good experience, altogether. However the hotel would need a nice refresh: the carpeting in the hallways is really too much consumed.

A hotel with a charm and pedigree, as they do in the entrance courtyard, were lodged: The current king, twice when he was heirs, the Kings Emeritus and the King of Norway. Anyway, there is a part that already needs a little review, the passage of time makes a dent. It has a good restaurant.

It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history, old monastery. They still retain many works of art and relics from the past and the central auditorium was the church, has indoor pool, parking and is in the center of the city. Very comfortable to walk to any place.

Very good Hotel In the center of the port. It is very big and nice (always inside that it is an old monastery), the cleanliness very good, the bed very comfortable and the treatment has been excellent. If you have to put a but it is how big the hotel is, the first few days it was hard to find the room. Recommended 100%.

Nice place to visit Cadiz and El puerto. We came recomended by relatives and friends, and they weren't wrong. The room was big and cozy. The whole building is very beautiful. The staff was so kind. We traveled with students and I don't see a better place for this kind of trips with a lot of people. If you want to visit Cadiz, the port is jus 10 minutes walking and the ferry very cheap. So, it's worth to sleep here and go and come back to Cadiz by boat. Best relation prize/quality.

A very atypical hotel, it will be a mix between museum and hotel. Very decent prices.

Beautiful hotel in the port of Santa Maria. Very well kept, the habitraciones very clean, comfortable. The bed is two meters and very comfortable. Very friendly staff at all times. The breakfast buffet was very good. The monastery is a beauty.

Is simply a different hotel. An atmosphere very different from a sterile beach hotel.

The Hotel Monasterio is a must visit hotel if you go to the port of Santa Maria, it is worthwhile to enter even to have a glass of odorous in your cafeteria to appreciate the excellent restoration that was made more than 25 years ago.

Very nice hotel which was then a convent. Nice staff and cozy rooms. It is possible to park in the basement.

The room was cold and the heating insufficient. Smell of stale. Very spacious room, charming structure.

The wonderful bed, the best. The perfect shower, temperature and pressure. Everything is clean and comfortable. It needs a little reform, but the employees make up for it with the deal. We did an upgrade to a Junior suite without asking for it. 'll!

They say he's the best in town. Good. Nothing more.

The room was large, at the entrance there was a mini lounge However the cleanliness leaves to be desired, you notice a strong smell of old since the room has the carpet and the big curtains. Comfortable the beds.

Without question in the years come, but good beds and slept well!
Our first room was small, the bathroom so small that 30 years ago (when the hotel was last renovated) did not even find room to place the toilet so that you can sit there without problem. On request we were given another room: bigger, bathroom optimal. We slept very well.
Whether €10 is worth the breakfast buffet I can not say. Only so much: in the 5min distance (Richtng River) bar El Potaje you get for setback €3: Cafe con leche, Sugo natural and a sandwich with Jamon, olive oil and tomatoes… all fresh, without automat and ready served at the table (plus contact with locals) we found the Paid Price (38 €/night) for the location, equipment and (daily) service absolutely adequate (otherwise hotels in early January in Spain are usually still quite expensive, because the time to 6.1. )
Further (drink) recommendation is the bar Babaloo (very popular with locals)

Bad access to the hotel parking. Only stairs there is neither ramp nor stage. Regular breakfast buffet. Rooms without renewing anything updated.

Very well located, right in the centre. Spacious. Very good to go with children. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast girl recommended a couple of places to go with the kids and… delighted.

Room very dark and tired looking but quite adequate. Suffered with noise, sound travelled, people walking around till 3 o'clock in the morning, seemed like everyone had high heels or are there ghosts!

Go back to a moment in history, this hotel offers some amazing history and is worth investigating with a lot of character and history. The makings and furnishings throb out the hotel are very intricate and ornate. The glass of fresh lemonade on arrival was a great personal touch.

A magical and cosy place like none, super spacious rooms, double bed of 2 m. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended without a doubt.

Breakfast was good. The Hotel was quiet and central. The bathroom was quite shabby and the room smelly. The staff was very Kind.

Older and outdated rooms, but do have new TVs. That is the bad, but there are a lot of positives. Great balconies, awesome inside decor, parking located under hotel, amazing breakfast, and cold AC.

It's a beautiful place with a lot of art and representation of spanish culture. It was a monastery in the past so it has an old structure. The personal are really polite and helpful. The only problem for us was the noise, there are parts in the hotel which are too noisy, we could hear some vibrations and other people snores.

The hotel has a nice vintage design to it. Basically built around an old catholic monastery. Rooms are clean and simple, however the bathroom had a weird odor. Navigating the hotel itself is a little odd but eventually you'll find your way. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is very spotty, when it works it is slow but you will have to be able to connect to it first.

Had a stay at this hotel. Room's are nice and clean. The hotel is in monasterio and it feels like you are living in a museum. There is a lot of paintings and other relics. The hotel is situated in nice location. Overall nice stay.

Spent a visit… it seemed cozy…

A building monumental, with its history. Perfectly rehabilitadi. With spacious rooms. Swimming pool, gardens and patios. In the helmet historical but it sufficiently distant from the area more bustling of the port, by what is rests very well.
As points to improve: TV flat with satellite, best coverage Wi-Fi and Internet with more speed (less evil that brought my own router) and some plug more to load devices mobile. But perhaps this is because travel by work and you give much importance to these aspects.

Convent rehabilitated, with parking fee € 13 day, and swimming pool. Spacious, by putting a but at night ventilation engine listen to too.

A wedding weekend and I loved it is lovely very good comfortable and the staff were certainly to repeat.

Whenever I come to the port of Sta. Whenever I come to the Pto. STA… Maria I stayed in this Hotel for its slab, location and its quality/price ratio. I understand that some customers will become crazy to find your room.

In the middle of the Village. Good service and rooms. Good price. And Monasterio decoration alike.

It is a landscaped place describing the monastic luxury of the time. Rooms are quiet, but his quest, through numerous halls, and the connection with the elevators, constitute a true odyssey that remains unresolved at the end of the stay.

Excellent location. Do not fail to see the church from vantage points in the hallways of the first floor. Rooms are austere but, of course, is a monastery.

Good location… But a hassle to find the rooms… When improve internal indications 5 esrrellas!

A few weeks ago we were staying in Hotel Monasterio de San Miguel. We arrived during the moto GP world contest. Despite the huge crowd of moto-fans, we arrived safely and fluently at the hotel using our gps and our rented car. There is a huge parking space (fee/day) where the car was safe during our stay. Our stay was wonderful. We had a comfortable bedroom, a balcony with a swimming-pool view and a clean bathroom. Talking about the hotel itself I coundn't say anything bad about it. It was always clean, quiet and comfortable. The pictures on the website are not overrated, they describe the hotel correctly. The breakfast buffet is wonderfull, Lots of choice in my opinion, and more important: everything was fresh and clean. The swimmingpool is quite big and very refreshing (not heated), which is a good thing when its 37°! Maybe the infrastructure at the pool could use some more cleaning/maintainance, but apparently the pool area shouldn't have been opened yet when we were there. The cherry on top was the excellent staff. They where always very friendly and extremely helpfull. At the reception, during breakfast, in the restaurant, in the bar and of course the houskeeping staff and the maintainance. Especially Pedro from the bar las capuchinas was always very friendly and happy to help. He is a wonderfull person and he made us feel very welcome. Also José-mari from the bar/restaurant was incredibly hospitable.

You need to renew a little rooms.

It is a beautiful hotel with many attractions and beautiful furnishings, but the management is good.

Maybe if I say that this hotel is the ECOG King always visiting the area. What is xq work there.

This good of lounges and spacious areas but the 10 is not carried by the foyer of photos.

The emblematic building, but nothing more. Poor rooms, poorly maintained, with feeling of dirt. The disastrous breakfast and cafeteria unfriendly and arrogant, the friendly reception service.

The walls are great. The art is exceptionnal. The atmosphere fantastic. Refurbishment is a complete success. But management is poor and cheap. The rooms fixtures are cheap (taps, towels etc. Not made to last). The staff hardly trained for some of them and badly organised (cheap). The swimming pool is pathetic and open only a few hours a day. I got a cheap deal for 60 euros a night, if one can still think that 60 euros is cheap accomodation. It as part of a chain that has several other hotels, spa and clinical health centers and it is run as an financial investment with share price in mind. Not as an accomodation with service to the patrons in mind.
