From the moment you step into Westin Seoul, the friendly team greets you to a grandeur lobby. The marble and furnishings infused with Westin signature White Tea compliment the property perfectly to provide a pleasant welcome. The perfect hotel to step away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul Downtown. Everything you expect from a Westin. While the hotel is looking aged and definitely need refurbishments not only in the rooms but in the common areas to live up to the Westin reputation. The service makes up for everything else. The concierge team is extremely helpful in not only providing much needed directions to navigate Seoul, they also provide personalized services to make reservations, assist with shopping enquiries and bridge the language barrier as seamless as possible. You will come to appreciate this if you struggle to understand Korean. A fantastic team that continually caters to guests needs at every opportunity to deliver a truly refreshing and comfortable Westin experience. I especially enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet offering a seriously awesome variety of everything you could wish for to not just have breakfast, but to have a sensory overloaded meal.

Convenient location, beautiful artwork in lobby, outdated rooms, in terms of technology, layout and lighting. Outstanding customer service. Staff always trying to solve problems. Very good at remembering guest needs from visit to visit — delightfully well organized. On the plus side service is good and has improved a lot on back of several competing 5 Star hotel openings over the past few years. Hotel staff have become warm, friendly and helpful. They make stays here pleasant and memorable, offsetting any infrastructure and technology drawbacks.

Poor! Never heard of a birthday cake offered from hotel would not be allowed to enjoy in club lounge, because of the rule of not allowing food from outside. I totally understand and honor this policy but does a hotel offered cake also food from outside? I have sent email to Westin Chosun Service, No Reply. Then I have sent email to FOM of this hotel, No reply. To me, they make me feel they dont bother! I couldnt believe this is a 5 stars standard.

Simply the best! I would like to thank the crew at the Guest Services for their tremendous help during my stay. — There were 5 of us and we have so many pieces of luggage and 5 staff from guest services helped us to load them all up into the Taxi and refused to be tipped. It’s exemplary service and having stayed in other Westin locations prior, we really appreciate their sincerity and professionalism shown by the staff in this property — I actually lost my laptop bag inside the Jumbo taxi after getting dropped off at the airport and they managed to quickly locate the driver and get the Driver to turn back within 35mins to the airport! Very precise with their instruction and extremely assuring especially in a foreign country where many service staff are not English speaking — friendly, helpful and full of smiles every time you approach them throughout the stay (plus points — very handsome gentlemen) Thank you Westin Chosun! I’ll definitely visit you again when I’m in Seoul!

Great hotel with very good location. Especially the breakfast buffet is outstanding.

The conference center and catering was amazing here. Also have some great views of nearby Korean relics from some of the smaller rooms.

Outstanding welcoming and attentive service right from the arrival. Rooms are a bit dated but ultimately comfortable and the location is fantastic. Certainly the best hotel gym in Seoul! I would come back anytime.

Has most of the trappings of a full 5 star international hotel… But doesn't have the wow factor. Staff seems to be very attentive and prompt to try to help. But when asked for anything out of their routine they can't really do much. Even something like asking for a king sized bed instead of 2 doubles throws them off kilter… Very grand breakfast makes for a nice start to the day though. Excellent location.

I am here again for the second time. The hotel is just 3 minutes away from the famous (Meyoungdong-gil) 명동길 area. Amazing luxurious hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful. The room is very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed so that you feel like home. You can enjoy your in-room breakfast but I recommend that you try one of the amazing restaurants. The swimming pool is another additional success. Your body cannot miss the daily activity as you can enjoy the Gym with variety of devices. The room service is unbelievably above standards. Outstanding quality of service. Thank you so much. Job well done. 대단히 감사합니다

Located very centrally with great access to public transport and shopping in Seoul. I visited for a special events program and the staff was incredibly professional and courteous. They place an emphasis on service and it shows. I've not personally stayed at the hotel but can attest that the hotel will go above and beyond to make your stay welcome. The interior (lobby and downstairs facilities) is clean and beautiful but not particularly spacious or grand — with the exception of the grand ballroom.

We have now stayed at the Westin a couple times and have truly enjoyed our stays. The location can't be beat, the service is impeccable, and the amenities are very nice. I especially love the pool and workout facilities. This is our go-to spot when we stay in Seoul.

A nice Westin. The lobby is new but the time are a bit dated. It's in a great location next to the giant Lotte department store. You can also walk around to the nearby shopping area.

Love this Westin. Outstanding views and service. The breakfast is fantastic. I also liked the feature to get a phone that you can use in Seoul. Real cool option.

Stayed here a week ago. This is one of the most pleasant hospitality experience I've had. Staff were very attentive, dedicated to good customer service and pleasant generally. The rooms were spacious, snack bar filled with niceties and beds indeed very comfortable. The amenities were as equally good and I enjoyed the access to them all.

Superb service. Staff were very attentive. Lots of little things that were nice. If it's in your budget, it's good.

Had lunch at the Italian restaurant Rubrica located in the hotel. Crazily overpriced and not good. 38000 won for a gorgonzola pizza where I couldn't find the Gorgonzola and that was made with very heaving tasteless "cheese"… Tiramisu was ok but really nothing special. For the price I would consider it a total rip off. Avoid this place.

I ate at the aria buffet and the overall experience was great. The staff was nice and attentive, there was a healthy variety of food, and the quality of the dishes were on point. A bottle of sparkling water for every table was a nice touch. What stood out for me was the crab. I generally stay away from fresh crab in buffets because they generally tend to be lackluster despite it being a seafood staple in most decent buffets. Either way, the crab at aria was pretty good.

Westin was my first choice when travelling to Seoul. However, rates jumped up pretty high. Had to stay somewhere else. Walked into lobby and it was beautiful.

It is one of the oldest hotel in Korea. It was established in early 19 century. Wongu-dan, a building used for royal ceremony in Chosun dynasty, is next door of hotel. And famous Korean painter Hwan Ki Kim's picture is displayed in lobby.

Wonderful rooms and very pleasant experience. One of the nicest Westin hotels — and really one of the nicest hotels overall — that I have stayed in.

One of the nicest Weston's I've stayed at. Breakfast buffet is amazing and there is a lounge (platinum members) with snacks and drinks.

It's worthy 5 stars, feel like a cozy quiet home in middle of downtown, Seoul.

As always Westin offers great experience and is situated close to many dights and has an underground stop outdide the msin door plus a shuttle bus stops to pick up and drop off for the airport.

One of the best hotels in the world with great service and an excellent location. One of the best gyms and great (but very expensive) restaurants. Love the nespresso coffee in the room and many of the conveniences offered by the hotel.

Great place to stay. Near night markets. Lotte is just round the corner. Hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. The good place to stay for business trips and stopovers.

I had to make a connection flight in Incheon to Shanghai for a meeting in the week of September 15th, and I asked myself, why not have a stopover so I can explore this beautiful and captivating city of Seoul for a few days. Thus, I have stayed at the Westin Chosun for four nights, and it has been an excellent experience. The moment when I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was promptly checked in by Lily Lee who kindly offered me a corner room on the 11th floor. I have reserved a standard bedroom, but the size was adequate for tourists or businessmen alike. The room was clean and has a comfortable king bed, a small sofa and a Samsung TV with lots of American as well as European TV channels. All in all, the service was excellent, especially the high level of English spoken by the staff, and the local sightseeing tours that the Concierge department has recommended me was excellent.

This is a great business traveler hotel in the downtown Seoul business district. Its located a short walk from Gyeongbokgung Palace, and several of the night markets. The rooms are modern, clean, and tastefully appointed. As an SPG Platinum, I was upgraded to a room on the top floor with access to the club lounge, and provided with passes to the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet on the lower level is hands down one of the best I've had at any hotel, and not to be missed as a great way to start the day. There are a ton of food options for every craving, but It gets very busy so its best to get there early. There is also a breakfast in the lounge, which is less crowded, but has fewer options. The Westin is located only a few minutes walk from several subway lines, and is a great choice for a quick stop in Seoul.

I organized 2 seminars there and have to agree with the negative comments. The staff was incompetent and the hotel is not at Westin standards. For a much better choice (and cheaper), prefer the Seoul Plaza Hotel next door. That said, the wine boutique in the Westin basement has very nice wine deals.

This hotel has the best customer service that I have ever seen. Their people are friendly, helpful and professional and go out of their way to make sure you are completely happy. Five stars.

I would like it to be a bit more traditional in terms of hospitality. The internet fails sometimes, and the very small lobi. X was a journey of taekwondo training.
