Fantastic weekend. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, great game drives and the food — wow you can't go hungry and catering for special dietary needs was excellent — thank you If you want to relax and do nothing but sleep, eat, drink and be at one with nature then Black Rhino is highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed Black Rhino lodge and recommend them to anyone who wants to enjoy a more intimate and relaxing space. They made my birthday extra special with some beautiful and unexpected surprises. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the rangers took us on great drives and we got to experience the wildlife we all love to see, ticking all our boxes. We looking forward to going back!

Amazing food, staff and service. When going on a game drive ask for Rassie, he is amazing and so knowledgeable. Saw the Big 5, cheetahs and Hippo in one day! Santie went out of her way to make our stay amazing, even got us a mobile spa to give us massages. (HA-LOLO beauty spa — Chantelle) you won’t go wrong choosing Black Rhino for an unforgettable experience.

We had a party of 15 and they made us all feel right at. The entire staff were great. All our meals were delicious. The game drives were FANTASTIC. Saw all but 1 if the big five. Awesome time!

Fantastic staff, accommodation is perfect, meals cater for every taste. The safari's are what you go for and the guides make it breathtaking. They love what they are doing and it shows in the way that they interact with visitors. Will definitely be going back again.

We just spent 5 nights and 4 days for our honeymoon. It was amazing! We enjoyed every minute of every day. The staff were super friendly and tended to your every need. The food was delicious. Our room was nice. The highlight was our game drives and our game ranger, Jumari. She made the drives fun and enjoyable. We saw a heard of elephants cross the road right in front of us, a leopard in a tree, lions in the road and right next to the road. Loads of rhinos up close and personal. This is mentioning a few. We also enjoyed it when Ivan joined — he is very knowledgeable. Our entire trip was magic and I would love to do it again. Thank you for such a memorable honeymoon xxx.

Staff very welcoming and competent. Very comfortable accommodation. The inclusive game drives were hugely successful with close-up sightings of the animals. We had an informative and friendly game ranger — and the tea, coffee and biscuit stops were appreciated.

What a great find. Hosts are exceptional, service is 5 star and the game viewing was nothing short of magnificent, would we come back. Without a doubt.

Wow — what a beautiful place! We totally fell in love. Our first experience at a game lodge and we were totally at home and looked after so well by all the lovely staff! The food was so delicious. Seeing the animals was out of this world and we learnt so much from the rangers who took us out morning and evening. We had our 7 month old daughter with us and they couldnt do any more to help us feel at home We were extremely sad to leave and wished we had booked for longer. We will be back!

The Black Rhino Lodge must have the most friendliest staff in SA. From the person working in the garden right to the management team. The food was outstanding and shows a nice variety of typically loved South African dishes (especially the Bobotie). Our game ranger, Rassie made every game drive memorable. We spotted four of the big 5 in one morning, also the most wildlife I've seen in a long time. The rooms are spacious and private, although you have to walk a bit to get to them. A little bit of attention can be given to the pool area but other than that a highly recommended stay.

All staff, especially Markus and Tebogo, pulled out all the stops for us on our two night, three day visit. This is a world class Game Lodge with: — Delicious food; — Beautiful rooms and scenery; and — Knowledgeable and hospitable staff. Well worth the cost and we’ll most definitely be back! Black Rhino Game Lodge is an amazing place. The staff is super nice and welcoming. My wife and I decide to go to Africa for our honeymoon and was looking a place to do Safari. We decided to stay at Black Rhino Game Lodge I think we did a perfect choice we love it, everything is beautiful our room was super clean, big, and nice with a lot of amenities it have everything we need inside it. They do serve 3 meals a day and the meals are super delicious with good options. When you are doing Safari I recommended you to ask for Marcus he really a nice and friendly guy and also super happy always. Me and my wife we are happy that we stay at this place we highly recommended. Black Rhino Game Lodge is the best…

I've just returned from an unforgettable 3 nights at the Black Rhino Lodge. Service was great, meals were fantastic & the safari's brilliant. Only word of warning was that flying in from Australia overnight we arrived at 9.30am & then had to wait until 2pm in the resort lounge to check in. If we'd known this we would have stopped at Sun City for the morning or organised a guided walk or something.

Rustic, yet beautiful. Awesome staff make you feel at home while you rest and recover. Ideal place for a digital detox.

Great place but I didn't like the lack of doors in the toilet and in the shower in the cabin.

Location and furnishing is great — especially the view of the watering hole that attracts many animals from the deck. It's a walk to some of the guest houses but they aren't secluded from each other as I have experienced on other lodges. The rooms are awesome but be aware the beds are very hard, they would benefit from a mattress pad. The food is served via a buffet which offers good choices but unfortunately the meat and fish dishes suffered from being over heaters for a long time and were tough and dry. The breakfast was also buffet only and no made to order available for eggs or omelets (something I had enjoyed at the other 4 lodges we stayed at). Morning safari drives were much better than the afternoon because in the morning they drove to the Park which has a lot more animals than their newer private reserve. Guides were great and the management was extremely helpful. I had a situation with my rental car and they made all the arrangements with the company to switch cars — couldn't have dreamed of better service. A lovely experience just wish the food had been better.

Beautiful park and stunning wildlife. The guides are knowledgeable and professional, the setup where you have the same guide multiple safaris in a row makes it more intimate and enjoyable. The Black Rhino Lodge is a very nice experience with spacious cabins and absolutely amazing food. The food is the best buffet food I have ever had where all three meals per day were incredibly tasty.

Gorgeous lodges with lots of amenities. It's situated in the Pilansberg National Park where the Big Five can be sighted. The guides/rangers are professionals who are friendly and knowledgeable. Vehicles for the safaris are well maintained and all in good condition. The food selection is not as big as the other lodges but that's understandable because this lodge is very quaint and isn't catering to a mass of visitors.

Reflecting on my stay at this lodge, it would be unfair to write only a few lines about this place. I made a quick trip here on my way back to Australia (travelling solo) The accommodation was comfortable and spacious, clean and well maintained. (keep in mind you may get a wandering Impala resting outside your window or door which I had). My cabin had an internal shower and bath plus the option to shower outside. Cabins were air-conditioned, with ample lighting, a fan, TV, mini fridge and a safe, the bed (appears to be two singles to make a king) had one soft and one firmer side, which was nice as my missus prefers the softer side. The food was well above what I would have expected for a lodge. Breakfast was either an Omelette or a Breakfast Buffet with multiple options of the usual Bacon, Eggs, Sausages, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Hashbrowns, Fruit, Cereal, Yoghurt, Cold Cuts of Meat Plus Toast and Pastries (Fresh juice, tea and coffee was always available). The lunch Buffet was a choice to two style of meats (could be Fish or Lasagne or Pork), plus three to four warm sides, two salads plus a soup. Afternoon Tea (Pre-afternoon game drive), was a mix of sweet and savoury pastries plus warm drinks). The dinner buffet was a choice of two meats, a number of warm sides, a soup, two salads plus a small selection of dessert. The drinks menu wasn't extensive but didn't need to be as the wine and craft beer selections were well priced and well matched with the food options.

The staff and service were amazing our ranger Sreyn was very professional the rooms very clean and the food amazing we will be back next year cant wait! Debbie and Rob.

Great value safari with excellent guides and very friendly and accommodating staff.

Highly recommend this place. Loved every minute. Fantastic tours, Friendly staff. You will pay extra compared to other safaris. But this place is worth it.

My beautiful wife, Marina, and I stayed at Black Rhino Game Lodge for two nights on 3 and 4 June where we celebrated our one-year anniversary. And WOW, what a weekend! On arrival, the friendly staff and our host, Matthew, were waiting for us and immediately made us feel at home! We checked in, received a delicious lunch and booked into our super romantic room for the weekend — room 10. A dreamlike weekend followed with amazing game drives with our ranger, Phillip, who made every moment really special, mouth-watering food and kind and wonderful staff, who made sure we enjoyed every second of our stay. We also had two wonderfully romantic experiences with a romantic turn-down on our first night and a candle-light romantic dinner for two with lanterns, amazing food and a wonderful waitress, Sina, on our second night, who made sure everything went smooth. Thank you to the managers, Michelle and Paul, and everyone involved who made our weekend so special! We will never forget your kindness and will certainly be back! Extremely happy couple Louis and Marina.
