A lovely kitted unit for a long weekend. It is peaceful and relaxed. Perfect for a getaway if you are in the Gauteng area. The units sleep 5 so a regular size family can fit comfortably. The heated pool makes it worthwhile visiting all year round and it's located centrally in Hartbeespoort so everything is fairly close by. Tennis, putt-putt, entertainment centre and family activities keep you entertained as well.

Rooms are clean. Cleaning lady is pleasant and happy to accommodate. Monkeys tend to get into bins. Lovely area to take long walks. Restaurant very nice, waiter still needs training. She tried very hard to please. Would go back again. Relaxing and close to many outings.

Beautiful tranquil setting, comfortable spacious chalets. Private no interference on neighbors. Well maintained grounds, luscious gardens. Swimming pools at different sites close by. Beautiful crisp clean pools. Heated pool at Restaurants and Bar. Safe for toddlers up to elderly. Good delectable at Restuarant. Wide variety Buffet Sundays. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception efficient!

Nice resort next to the mountains. The hotel staff were friendly. The swimming pools are crystal clear and inviting to swim in. It even has a heated swimming pool for those who want to swim on the colder days. You can walk around the resort for pleasure, appreciating the surrounding tranquil nature area. As far as animals at the resort go, apart from seeing lots of monkeys (don't feed them and keep chalet doors and windows closed), I also saw buck close up. You can also exercise with the outdoor gym facilities. The chalet was cosy and the bed comfortable to sleep on. The wood fired rib pizza I had at the restaurant was very tasty. I would recommend this resort for a relaxing break away from the city.

Received a hearty welcome on arrival. Beautiful setting with plenty trees. Accommodation units is very close to each other. Units is very well equipped. Not a very "quiet " resort, residents can be very noisy. Checking out procedure is not as promised.

Nice place, comfortable and family oriented — making a small effort at recycling but could do much more. Amazing wildlife around the dam. Excellent service, tasty food, good for young families and retired individuals.

We visited in April 2018 and to describe our experience in one word AWESOME! We stayed in a 5 bed villa with a double bed downstairs and 3 single beds upstairs with views of a pond. The villas all have built in barbeque's that get cleaned daily and table and chairs area under a rain proof roof. The resort and villas are very well maintained and it has been a long time since I visited a resort of this size that is so neat and peacefull. The staff on the resort are all friendly who always greet when they pass you and I want to make a special mention of the cleaning staff that makes the beds and clean the villas while you are enjoying yourself at the pool. The attention to detail was impeccable and everything was always neat and tidy. The only negative was the monkeys who over the years have become used to humans and will pick up any food items and run away you might have left unattended on the outdoor table. Overall a clean friendly well maintained resort with spectacular views of the mountain and river. Well done Mount Amanzi!

Absolutely beautiful accomodation and surrounds. Staff super friendly & accommodating. Sparkling pools & beautiful wildlife. A wonderful family get away.

Very nice and clean. Liked the good quality pots and crockery — better than my own! Did not appreciate the constant monkeys that kept me from leaving my door or windows open! Also liked the improvements made from the last time we have been there. Would like to suggest a warm swimming pool where the grownups can go to. I think this one is too small. Our stay was wonderful and thanks to the front desk staff for all the friendliness and assistance. One more suggestion. Please try to replace the double bed mattress in bungalow K31.

We have been here for two days and one night, so far. We were received wonderfully, the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their work. Asked for a baby cot for the week and if we took any longer to get from reception to our chalet the man who brought the cot would have been there before us. There are many things to do around here, but you don't have to go anywhere to enjoy your stay here. They have enough activities here to keep you busy. The chalets are well equipped, clean and comfy.

This place has fun activities for all ages as well as a lovely landscape. The houses are nice however the monkeys are a problem. There is a warm swimming pool as well as two other big pools.
