Beautiful and serene place. Awesome views. Spacious rooms and a whole lot more. Just be careful of the monkeys, they are quick to snatch any unattended belongings.

I had great time with my family, the rooms were nicely designed, the 3 course meals at the restaurant were superb, Wi-Fi was good, the environment was worth it. only challenge was the gravel road of about 4kms but if driving a big car not a big issue.

This place provides a unique experience for nature lovers. Staff members at reception could give us firsthand info on the beautiful trails. Our chalet was taken care of in every possible way by dedicated staff. Every centimetre of the premises is well maintained. Birdlife provided immeasurable pleasure.

We loved our stay, we were very sad to leave. The cottage was extremely neat and very beautiful. We will definitely be seeing Mount Sheba in the future.

A good place for that romantic getaway and of course the trails are awesome for those starting to hike as well as experienced hikers. You have the spoils of the pool as well as the day spa if you just want to chill.

Being able to relax and soak in the the amazing tranquility, popping out out for a morning (or a day! ) in Pilgrims Rest, hoping waterfall hopping, taking the kids to a BIG cave after having hiked to the various historic diggings, taking a day (or two) to the Kruger National Park, going up to God's Window or Bourkes luck… several visits worth of day trips in easy reach after/between the on-site entertainment. we've tried hard, but have yet to walk every hiking trail, check off the all the birds on their list or the trees… Enticing possible sighting of the Narina Trogon unfortunately not repeated. I was brought here as a child, but only understand the full range of possibilities now that I a visiting with my own little family.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a GREAT experience! Everything is fantastic. The place, the hikes, the service. We would recommend it to anyone seeking to rest, enjoy nature, wants peace & quiet and loves hiking. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. You will definitely see us again!

What an utmost dilemma of continuous dissapointed unprofessional service with our refund process.
If an elite institution cant even process a simple uncomplicated refund, how would the operational service be…?

We lived our stay at Mount Sheba. Very peaceful and close to such a lot of beautiful sites to visit. We did one of the trails and enjoyed every minute.

Mount sheba is an awesome place friendly staff and it is really beautiful. If you are a birder this is birding paradise especially the african emerald cuckoo wich shows beautiful in the forest. You wont go wrong visiting Mount Sheba.

Quiet and peaceful.

Bitterly disappointed with Mount Sheba. We arrived at 4pm today for 4 days. We checked their website yesterday before our departure to check if there are any Covid disruptions. No mention of the fact that all 3 of their restaurants are closed. As we sit now, we have no supplies and no restaurants to eat at. In addition we cannot get a drink anywhere — no cold drinks, beers, water or even coffee. Not even their own convenience store is open. When we booked, there was also no mention of the disruptions. Arriving at 4pm — we won’t make it to the nearest shops (1 hour drive to Graskop) before they close. We also had no heads up from Mount Sheba — had we known we definitely would’ve bought supplies (or rather not booked as we did not want to cook as this is our first time away as our family in over a year. ) We are fully understanding of Covid and the strain it has put on various industries however Mount Sheba dropped the ball on their side.

A beautiful spot. Peaceful, relaxing and it has calmness about it. Loved the week we were there. A small issue with the breakfast staff, rude, obnoxious and arrogant, we never ate there again. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

Amazing place for a holiday or breakaway. Great fireplaces to sit and relax, servicing of units give you a break from all household tasks. With about 10 hiking trails and lots of streams and waterfalls you won't be bored for a moment. This is truly a good place to come and let your hair down. Feel well rested after a week here! thanks.

What a hidden gem! One of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. Very friendly staff, stunning views, beautiful hiking trails and good food. We will definitely be back again and again!

The place is so peaceful. Its little heaven and the staff is so friendly and helpfull. Florence our housekeeper she is the best thee best.

Definitely a four star place. Lovely, cosy accommodation. Great, friendly staff. They make the fire for you each day and clean the place twice a day. But there isn't much to do, so its just peaceful. Boring for kids.

Very enjoyable. Winter time is really cold here! I had probably the best back/neck massage ever. Hikes are scenic although be careful if you want to hike the Marcos Mantle with small children: doable but needs patience, preparation and mountain experience. Staff are very accommodating and creative on the food front. Front office is also very friendly. Restaurants, scenery and staff attitude are big pro's. Access (long gravel road), maintenance and poor lighting in hotel rooms are cons. I would recommend that you try it at least once, especially if you are looking for an alternative in the Pilgrims Rest area.

Beautiful comfortable and well equipped accommodation staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was serviced every day The food at the restaurant was good. Good day hikes on the resort and worth doing. The hike was well marked and a map is available at reception. Take note that road from the main tar road is gravel but the condition was not bad. The resort is close to all the major scenic routes and points.

It is a tranquil environment, very peaceful and safe. The service my family and I received from the reception, cleaning and maintenance was very good. The staff is friendly, professional and really made our stay at Mount Sheba a wonderful stay. I think the road leading up to the lodge must looked at and improved. I also suggest that management look at more activities for kids, upgrade the gaming room, improve the play area and lastly introduce a heating system for the swimming pool e. G. Solar panels or heat pumps for this time of the year. I noticed a number of children that wanted to swim but could not.

One of the most serene places in South Africa. Located in an indigenous rain forest with a hotel and self catering cottages that are very well equipped and serviced daily. There are a number of well marked hiking trails in the forest. There is a Trout dam and one can rent a fishing rod from reception. Just be aware of the following fact :the last 10 kilometers of the road is a gravel road that requires careful driving, accessible by standard car but requires slow and careful driving.

A truly tranquil and serene place surrounded by awesome 'nature'. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay a few more days. The staff were attentive and welcoming, accommodation great! Would love to visit again in the near future. PS Lodge could do with a heated pool and, a kiddies pool too. Perhaps also a softball park for all who enjoy the sport like myself.

Tranquility beautifull and great service. You guys thought about everything that really matters. Great comfy bed and large showers and 2 fireplaces! A warm water swimming pool would be fantastic and more activities for children, playstations were all broken. And the restaurant's portions are very small and need attention but their service was good. Everywhere. We will return for sure. Reception staff are the best!

The view, friendly staff, beautiful place I loved it. I didn't like the gravel road, too narrow as you get closer to the lodge, but the beauty of the place deletes all hustle of driving on the bad road. Worth visiting.

Oh wow, what a lovely experience and service we had at the resort. Friendly and ovely Staff from reception… and the lovely rooms with s fireplace (eco friendly). The food at the restaurant exquisite and our waiter Melusi superb and well mannered. I really enjoyed my stay. There is plenty to do at the resort it's a pity we couldn't stay longer but I utterly enjoyed it. Thank you for washing our car as well. Great service. I will definitely come back with my whole family. The only thing I didn't like was the road to the lodge… the gravel road I hope that it will be fixed when we come back.

Wow Wow Wow ‼️ to the GM and his Team… Our car broke down 5km before the Mount Sheba turn off… Someone escorted us to the entrance so we could be safe awaiting a tow truck… We called the hotel and asked if the hotel cld collect us and our luggage… Minutes later the GM Fanie arrived ready to assist! He waited till the tow truck arrived… He drove us and tow truck followed up to the lodge approx 8km… He ordered the driver and assistant food and drinks before they left to go back to Lydenburg on his acc… He then made a reservation for us at the restaurant again on his bill as he could see we were not going to bother… He offered us a lift into graskop shld we wish to buy stuff and even offered us a ride back to Pta on sun if we were stuck‼️ we arrived at the lodge were given warm wet cloths to wipe our dusty hands and the Staff continued to serve and treat us like Queens…, Now this is what I call Service Beyond Duty… What a beautiful humbling experience just on arrival… Thank You❣❣
