Our stay at Ngalali — for 4 nights — was really amazing and full of delights. The accommodation is very comfortable and relaxing — the food is Italian and really top class — fresh ingredients and cooked to the owner’s grandmother’s recipes! The staff are friendly and were very kind towards our 10 year-old. We came to see wildlife and we did in abundance. The owners Xander and Lorenza are experienced guides and they really enjoy passing on valuable information about the animals and the bush. We saw a long list of wildlife and had some absolutely exhilarating moments. We highly recommend the bush walk — with the guide we tracked a lioness’s fresh paw marks and found her sitting still just ahead. We travel a lot — and these few days are up there at the top for us.
We had a lovely stay at Ngalali Retreat! The staff was very friendly and always happy to help. The food they made for us, was freshly made and very delicious! Lorenza and Xander have a great knowledge about nature. They’re successfully using less plastic overall, which is great to see! We haven’t had that in any other place before. They have refillable products in the bathroom, offer water for free to reduce water bottles out of plastic and there was not a single piece of plastic on the table. Seeing the sustainable way of doing business, was definitely a highlight for us!

We stayed 2 nights at Ngalali Retreat, and it was amazing. What a great place to stay for a real bush experience. Elephants, Giraffe and Impala's drinking 30 meters away at the waterhole during breakfast is amazing. We booked the afternoon boat-safari with Xander, however it's a full 8 hour safari experience including a 2 hour boat trip. Xander is very experienced guide, he explains a lot about the animals.
The food at Ngalali was very good, the pasta was one of the best we ever had!
