Magnificent stay at Kapama River Lodge. Comfortable rooms, attention to detail, friendly staff. Wonderful meals and superb game viewing. We saw all of the Big 5, including young lion cubs, a baby elephant and a leopard with a recent kill. What a perfect weekend break. Will defintely be back.

The Lodge is crazy. Idyllic structure, cared for in detail. Fabulous rooms, shower and bathtub, balcony and bed XXXL. Good staff and great buffet. Magic Safari.

Beautiful Lodge, very well received. Restaurant with high quality buffet. In the evening we eat with the guide that accompanies us during the safari.
They have two beautiful swimming pools in the SPA area.

Kapama River Lodge was everything we would like & more. We were very nervous taking our children who are 10 & 7 years old, however the staff at Kapama were very accommodating & treated our children so well.   Marinus our guide & Bernard our tracker were amazing & a great team who worked well together and their persistence ensured we were able to see the big 5, particularly the elusive Leopard. The hotel is in great condition & furnished beautifully with a local touch. The family spa suite is very large and the kid's beds fitted nicely. Be sure to stay 3 nights in order to enjoy this lodge & you will get to see the big 5 plus more! One negative is that the Kapama reserve has huge power lines running through in one section which makes the park less natural but if that doesn't bother you then this is the place to come to if planning a trip to greater Kruger National park.

Highly recommend. Had an amazing visit with my wife. The staff was very attentive and great to deal with. Saw all the big five and loved our visit. If you visit, fly into Eastgate and have the lodge come pick you up (10 minute drive). Self driving from anywhere else is not worth it due to police corruption (it is common to get stopped and solicited for bribes, had happened to us twice).

The most beautiful place. We want to return. Accommodations are 5 star and they accommodated my food issues. No one will be disappointed with its wonderful people and amazing sites to see. We saw the big 5.

Beautiful. Awesome. Friendly. Adventure. Nice lodge with kind personal and great food. The safari is an great experience for old and young. The rangers are impressiv! So much wonderful moments… The only negative points. For some people maybe too expensive Time runs too fast.

Fantastic reserve with great safari tours. Passionate guides with full respect of the nature. Exceptional experience and a good chance to see the big 5. The hotel itself is of a western 4 star large resort standard (not boutique). Rooms are comfortable and large. Service and staff extremely friendly. Only buffets are available for lunch and diner. No a la carte menu. Pity — food quality is ok, but not meering the Cape Town standards for example. Cocktails are not meeting expectations. Wifi only works near the lobby area, not in the rooms. Prefer the Buffalo camp a few km away if you want a real 5 star hotel.

We spent 3 days at Kapama River Lodge and it was an incredible place. All the facilities that are offered are wonderful, everything is very clean and tidy. Lots of weird and wonderful bugs at night. The food is truly delicious and our guide was very knowledgeable. We were very happy to spot the big five! I will definitely return.

We've been there on honeymoon. It was an incredible experience. The lodge is spotlessly clean, the staff excellent and always friendly. Not to mention the cuisine, which is plentiful and very good… the last appearance, and certainly the most exciting was the meeting with the animals we have seen so far only at the tv… but not a panoramic tour in which to see lions and tens of meters, do not expect this… see the puppies of the lion eat calm because protected by eight lionesses… a lion that roars at half a metre from the jeep, pretending to shake the soul… I will not describe beyond our experience, you have to experience it for as many days as possible, do not trust anyone who tells you that two or three days are enough… one last sincere thank you to our Ranger IP… Nicola and Elisa!

Beautiful lodge, comfortable and spotless rooms with all amenities. Great food, friendly and attentive staff. Couldn't ask for more in a luxury resort. The Safari tours were "a once in a lifetime experience". Saw all of the big 5 plus many other species. Our guide "JT" and tracker "Bernard" we're extremely knowledgeable, informative and warm… They made us feel like family… and they really knew how to find the game, and position us in the tightest of spaces to get the best views and photos. We will be back!
