We are enjoying a superb safari experience here at Vuyani. Excellent game drives with great wildlife encounters. Great rooms and facilities, lovely food, quality drinks (too many red wines for my husband last night! ), friendly staff and a brilliant atmosphere amongst the guests. Just magical.

Awesome perfect Safari Lodge excellent staff, professional tracker & guide makes the experience perfect with flawless knowledge. Animals so close real life interaction game drives amazing. Rooms true Sth African feel, pool great. Wild animals come into compound Giraffe, warthog, elephants, Kudo, monkeys always safe with guides around. Hosts so friendly, food fresh & so yummy. Extra activities if you want from massages to visiting Elephant Sanctuary and Endangered Species. Social environment made friends for life. Amazing. Spent a week here in October and it was incredible. The twice daily game drives were unique each time with evening sundowners in the reserve a favourite.
Plenty of food, three massive meals every day of which all of them hit the mark.
Staff were great, special callouts to our guide Paul and tracker Steven who looked after us on our drives.

A fabulous seven nights, jam packed with adventure you won’t get bored! We made lovely new friends, saw lots of animals in their natural habitat, ate well, drank well and laughed so much! Already planning our next visit, most of the guests were on a return visit. It’s a small cosy resort with only about 30 guests.

The food, the staff, the accommodation and the game drives are all fantastic and you get to make lots of great new friends. Seeing wild animals in luxurious surroundings, whilst being treated like royalty — heaven!

Brilliant service and beautiful setting, rooms are very comfortable and the lodge has a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Perfect bush getaway. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay special.

The friendly staff, food, the ambulance and the safari drives all amazing.

Fantastic lodge, excellent staff, wonderful location. Great opportunity to see nature and its inhabitants at very close encounters. Exceptional views created by the trackers like Steven and the drivers like Jannie, they truly go the extra mile to make this an experience to remember. Take the overland transfer and see even more of this terrific country. Thanks to absolutely everyone including kitchen, housekeeping, chefs, front office and Chris and Clive the waiters who kept us topped up with drinks constantly.

Thanks a lot team Vuyani. It was indeed a wonderful 7 days for me and my wife (although we had to leave our kids in the UK). The hospitality of your staff under the careful supervision of Kelly, Taylor and the team, exceptional food and drinks prepared by knowledgeable chefs, the stay itself surrounded by antique art decor and the drives especially with Calvin and Stephen and Norman were all superb. There was a slight issue with one driver but as soon as we told Kelly she dealt with it quickly in an effort to make our stay most enjoyable. We will try and go back when the kids grow up a bit. Best wishes.

Amazing place just off the beaten track. Staff provide an excellent service and you are fed and watered very well indeed. All inclusive is exactly that. 5 star cuisine along with a 5 star service from the very start of booking.

Absolutely fantastic in every way. The staff were so accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. The game drives were incredible, with cheetahs, lions, elephants, giraffes, porcupines, and more impala than you can poke a stick at. The food and rooms are second to none, and the range of extra activities will keep you entertained between drives. Will definitely be back again!

We have just come back from seven nights at Vuyani lodge. The people working at the lodge make this such a special place and I hope the management appreciate the effects they go to to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. The lodge is very well run and the management are oblivious very experienced in what they do. We stayed in one of the presidential suites of which there are two. The room has everything you need, including a very large bathroom and walk in shower, A. C, large oversized king size bed. All rooms don't have a TV which was a bonus for us. Rooms get cleaned twice daily by the cleaners that we didn't see once. The twice daily game drives were the highlight of the day, never knowing what you may find. We would definitely come back to Vuyani lodge and would highly recommend. If we did make any comments regarding improvements it would be regarding the food. Although the food was top quality there is very limited choice and only one main choice if you are a vegetarian. This could be improved by giving a more varied choice maybe in the morning at breakfast so the cook can prepare during the day. A room service menu would aslo be a bonus for those who don't want to eat late (830pm) or just want something light. There was also a problem with our hot tub that didn't get hot only warm and jets were very leak and only three of them worked. This stopped us using the tub which was a shame as we would have liked to.

Stayed early June. Great location, scenery, beautiful rooms and public areas. Good food. Max 24 guests. The friendliness of the staff and enthusiasm of the guides and trackers made the holiday. Really enjoyed our stay including a day in the Kruger N. P. (a slightly different experience due terrain and vegetation). Good free access from HDS Eastgate airport, which works well but has somewhat limited flights so check if the timings work for you. Thank you all for a great safari, David and Mags.

We've had the most amazing time. Everything about the place, the food and the people who run it is top notch. I cannot fault a single thing. We'll come back again.

Exceeded our expectations in every way. Outstanding lodge with luxurious accommodation. The staff are impeccable and can’t do enough to help. John and Godfrey, our game drive guide & tracker, are so good at what they do that we saw pretty much every animal you could want to see. Very impressive when they point out small cats, aardvarks, honey badgers, Bush babies, owls and insects (for example) in the dark whilst flying past in a jeep!
Food and drinks were outstanding and the excursions great. Vuyani somehow make you feel part of a family whilst also treating you like royalty. Perfect!

One of the best experiences ever. The staff here is wonderful. We have seen practicly every animal that lives on the property. Definatly recommend. Our guides john and Godfrey were awsome.

Where do I begin?
We were looking for a honeymoon destination and found Vuyani via a wowcher deal, we were a little unsure about booking through wowcher but went for it and we are so glad we did! We were transferred to the lodge by Norman, one of the dedicated drivers who had a massive range of knowledge of the areas we went through on the 6 hour transfer journey. On arrival, the personal touches made Vuyani extra special, everyone knew our nam…es and we only introduced ourselves once! We want to send our personal thanks though to our dedicated staff: Kelvin and Stephen (game driver and tracker). We saw all the animals we could have asked to see including rare ones, the banter between each other were brilliant and they both love what they do! Very knowledgable with not only animals but trees, birds and general knowledge. We have learnt so much we weren’t even expecting to! The different areas where we stopped for a drink and watched the sun go down daily was incredible. (Enjoy your days off guys, well deserved). The food was incredible with a massive thanks to all of the hard working caterers. Thank you also to the housekeeping staff and to anyone else I’ve missed! The day trips were well worth the extra payments and allowed us to experience villages of South Africa we wouldn’t have otherwise visited, again with personalised touches. After a 31.

Great place! This is the best place for a safari!

If you are looking into booking here… don't hesitate… DO IT. Everything about this place is amazing.
The staff can't do enough for you. The food is fantastic and catered to everyone's needs. I have a severe peanut allergy and they did not take this lightly like most restaurants.
The rooms are stunning, comfortable and very clean.
The safari experience is a once in a lifetime experience. Obviously you are not guaranteed to see anything but the tour guides go out of their way to show u everything. To be honest the rides out are so much fun without seeing anything. Off roading in the wild is quite liberating. Luckily we got to see so much… my highlight was staring into the eyes of a lion cub (I cried) and watching the sunset at the waterhole with a vodka and 2 hippos in the distance.
I simply can't wait for an opportunity to go back. Because of this place I have memories that will stay with me forever!

5 star treatment by staff. Every special request was done for us. Lodge is wonderful. Food was upmarket. Comfort was excellent.

Words cannot describe the beauty of this location or the incredible experience that it offers. The food was sensational; the staff were super friendly and could not do enough to help; other local activities were easily booked for us; our accommodation was beautiful and the mountain backdrop continually took my breath away. In addition to this the twice daily game drives with coffee each morning or sun-downers each afternoon were a constant source of delight, never knowing what animals may be about to surprise us. Our driver TJ consistently spoiled us with safely getting up close and personal with the animals, as well as providing with a huge amount of information to educate us about them. My fiance and I enjoyed the time of our lives, and it was the perfect place to enjoy a reunion with friends from America. I shed a tear when I left!

1st Visit. August 2013 went back again October 2015. Booked again for October 2016 while sitting in the Presidential Suite. August 2017 we visit again. Then we come back out again to Vuyani October 2017. Oh yes and we're trying to book again for February 2018.

We've travelled to 7 African countries and we've stayed at many many many lodges. Vuyani is quite simply the best place we've ever stayed.

Absolutely wonderful place, big 5 game, staff and location. Could not have wished for anything better.

It has always been my dream to go on a safari and I finally made it last May and I had the most wonderful experience. It all started with fantastic accommodation, wonderful staff and being shown every animal out there in the wilds that I could hope to see! Completely spoilt as I don't think I will ever have a better safari and the small group of people that were there for the same reason as me, whom I went out on the morning and evening drives with, ate with and with whom I found some new friends could not have been bettered. I have some lovely pics to remind me of my lifelong dream all because of the guys who drove us out to get close up to the animals in their natural surrounding. Cannot recommend this place enough.
