Strategic place for business, just minutes from the airport with spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Free Wi-Fi without limits (not a minor detail if one travels for work), friendly staff and very helpful.
Quality buffet restaurant in a very nice and well-lit location in the evening.

This is a great place with much more atmosphere and attention to detail than an 'overnight airport transit guesthouse' would require. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out, all lovingly decorated. Well organised airport shuttle. If not for the airplanes droning overhead (but that's the point, in a way! ) I would have loved to stay longer.

The Hotel is very good! Both your attention and inhalation. The Room has everything you need to spend a good stay, and it is worth mentioning that it is very quiet, giving a sense of relationship.
The food both breakfast and dinner is very good. The Taste of the dinner was great.

I called Sun Rock Guest House 13th March 2018 looking for a conference facility for 17 people which included GM, EM and other staff for a SOC for two days 14th and 15th March 2018 which included breakfast, snacks and tea and coffee for the conference as well as accommodation for 5 people for the 14th of March 2018. to my surprise the lady who answered the phone spoke English until she heard my accent and started speaking in Afrikaans, a language which I do not understand I politely asked her to speak English and she hung up the phone on me, I called again thinking it was a network problem she still refused to help me and said there was no availability, my colleague who speaks Afrikaans then called her and requested the above mentioned facilities of which she did a quote for. i saw this as being unprofessional and discriminating in every manner as she would not help me because I did not speak Afrikaans and I am black. I hope this matter is dealt with accordingly we do not need such at this day and age.

Very good family run guesthouse near O. R. Tombo airport. Pretty garden, swimming pool is available, and awesome braai each evening. Would come back again. Stayed a second time at the Sunrock Guesthouse in 2017 and I am still very pleased. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent for a nights stay. Flew in to the airport late at night and was collected. The security guard even let us use the bar. Then next morning after a wonderful breakfast we were taken back to the airport to collect a car. The driver from the hotel was very helpful. Would stay again rather than in the big airport hotels. Much easier.

A beautiful lodge with fantastic facilities, a swimming pool, pool table and table tennis table tennis table mean you won't get bored in down time with some lovely birds in the area. The rooms are great with lovely showers and bathroom facilities. The lodge isn't far from much you can get anything you may need without having to walk too far out if your way. The food provided tastes great and is good quality.

Very comfortable, convenient and quiet — even though it's in a busy suburb! The rooms are quite compact, but even so doesn't feel small. Lights and fan that you can remote control is a nice touch! Massages on offer are very reasonably priced, however I didn't have time to experience one. Definitely worth staying at! Good value for money.

All in all OK. Pretty close to the airport. You feel pretty safe despite the location. Adapter can be bought at the reception. If further trips are planned and the stay is interrupted, you may be able to His suitcases between storage (for payment).

Impeccable home. Very nice room. Pool and nice bar. Lunch (self-service buffet) very average and overpriced. However friendly we bring the station to the airport free of charge. Thank you and I'm going back.

For the last overnight in Johannesburg we choose the best hotel we could. Clean, nice, cosy, big. 3 star? For me sure more than 4. The rooms are build for Kings even the bed is for superkings! In the bathroom you can easy rollerskaten, 2 person shower: amazing! The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly and threat you as a dear guest. We where picked up direct at the airport. 10 minutes later we where swimming in the perfect located and very nice swimmingpool. What a wonderfull end of our South Africa trip : couldn t better. And as a real "Dutchman": great value for your money! Go there, no regrets!

These guys run the place with precision service, was attending a conference in the neighborhood suffered serious setback with network. Ended here to run away from closer to the Airport OR Tambo. It's dark at night, but once you inside the yard you feel home. Wifi Gallo. Was writing an assignment and needed a quite and spacious space got all of it here. Wen my lap top gave in they allowed me to work on their PC finalist my Assignment and post it. This is the kind of Service Excellence you need in the Hospitality Industry. Good luck guys. God Bless.

Clean and safe place. Everyone is exceptionally friendly. The food is good as well. There's a shuttle from and to the airport, a pool, a bar, a pool table and a ping pong table. Can only recommend.

Top top top. Nice friendly Happy people, they think like human, kindness. Fantastically delicious food. Relaxed environment, really like it. Especially that chocolate cake with ice cream. Hummm suberb.

The family that run this place give 100% and are obviously skilled, experienced, and dedicated. It is very close to the airport, and the free shuttle was a priority after experiencing the taxi service at the O. R. Tambo which should be avoided. After calling we were picked up within 5-10 minutes which was excellent. The compound is secure and has 3 beautiful dogs which made the stay even more enjoyable. Like many of the places we had stayed they had cable TV, but they seemed to have subscribed to many more channels than average. We had the dinner which was about 100rand ($10usd) and it was very nice. Breakfast was complementary and also very good. It was the only place that we stayed in during two weeks in South Africa that had twin side-by-side showers, side-by-side sinks, and a spa bath. We felt very spoiled, but this may not be the same for all rooms. They seem to have a decent Wi-Fi set-up with one account for each room, but I guess bandwidth is shared because it was incredibly slow (below 100kb/s) at times which made it fine for email but not much good for anything else. The only negative was the fact the they are currently doing some construction.

An excellent value. Clean, safe, and secure compound just a few minutes from the airport. They offer free airport shuttles and free high speed internet. Family run, wonderful atmosphere, with a cozy bar and phenomenal meals cooked by the owners.

Guesthouse was very neat and clean. They offer a free shuttle service to the airport which was a big bonus. We had a very nice buffet breakfast in the morning. There is also a pool and a lapa with bar and pool table. The owners (Arthur and Ina) were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We will definitely stay here again if we go to Johannesburg.
