What a pleasure to visit this hotel. Located near Rosebank mall and the Mediclinic hospital this hotel is a hub of activity for meetings and conferences. The lobby is often busy and is large enough to feel comfortable. The hotel rooms are neat and spacious. The service at the various concierge desks is brilliant. (ask for Alwyn if you have any doubts) The staff at rending the Club room are attentive and helpful.

From the friendly and helpful staff to the good service and food, the experience is amazing. The rooms are well furnished with the finest beds and linens. Definitely can be called a world class hotel.

Friendly staff, willing to help. Spacious areas, in dining room, restaurants. Everything was working in the room, as expected in a Crowne Plaza hotel. Efficient front desk. Good security. Being located opposite a Police station, one feels extra secure and safe.

Business hotel which means very little frills and thrills. The hotel is basic and functional for what you pay. Friendly staff, decent breakfast and functional gym. Would definitely go back again.

Very nice place to stay. Very attentive and friendly service who are ready to help with anything. Extremely convenient location with amenities within walking distance. Our room was modern and very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was quiet and comfortable and well equipped, and the public facilities spacious and welcoming. Only the restaurant left something to be desired for an evening meal, but there are many good alternatives only a few blocks away in The Zone. The hotel is well located within easy reach of many good restaurants and a large mall, as well as the Gautrain station. I first stayed here 20 years ago, and my recent visit exceeded all expectations.

I fell in love with the hotel the minute I reached the reception. I found a guest being served but Cynthia did not make me wait but immediately assisted me waiting for someone to assist me. Zanele came to take over and it was as if I am still being served by the same person because they were both friendly. Before I could even catch my breath Lettie came from nowhere to welcome me as an IHG member. Wow hat's off to you ladies. You swept me off my feet. Lettie gave me the best room I had ever seen. Took me around the hotel the pool and gym are a not to miss. This is a ten star hotel it's really upmarket.

The hotel has the perfect location, really close to rosebank station. Staff was nice and welcoming and the breakfast is amazing. It was also less expensive than the others in the same area.

Lovely venue for conferences. The staff is helpful and friendly. Great food. The sound quality is also good and there is technician available to provide support. Keep up the good work.

Not the friendliest place. Big open spaces but looks like a flashback to the 70's. The breakfast was amazing and the service there was exceptional.

Nice stay. The room service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the in room menu which offers good choices served within a reasonable time.

Not sure it's January slow motion. But even as one of 2 tables the service was slow, food stale… even the waiter said we shouldn't hold our breath about the bar snacks. And I'm well capable of adding my own ice in my wine… you don't have to drown the wine in the ice before I can taste it.

A comfortable hotel next to great shopping. The room was a bit dated and in need of repair — broken refrigerator and fixture in the shower. The see through bathroom is a bit weird to — do not stay here with young children. The service was not good. We waited over an hour for a pot of coffee that came with no cups. They need to step their game up.

We reserved a table for Christmas Day lunch which was a buffet. We never got to eat any of the hot veges as they had run out and were not replacing. Definitely under catered … but I have to honour our waitress. She was super and so accommodating of the elderly folk at our table.

Located within 5 minutes from the Rosebank mall and Gautrain Station. Rooms are comfortable but sounds travel from the next room very easily.

Modern, nice, big hotel.

I loved my stay at the Crowne Plaza! From the moment you walk into the hotel I had a great experience. The staff are super friendly and willing to help. The room I had was spacious and comfortable with a really good air conditioning system. The amenities at the hotel are also fantastic, from the gym to the pool and the the bar and restaurants. The location of the hotel is great as it's in walking distance to the local shopping centre and some amazing restaurants. I would happily recommend this as a place to stay if you're visiting for work or pleasure.

The worst hotel experience ever. My room wasn't done up when I had specially requested for housekeeping at the counter around 130pm. Came back at 4pm and I saw my room is not done up so I called housekeeping. They told me I forgotten to remove the 'do not disturb' sign so fair enough, I asked them really nicely if they can just come and to replenish the bathroom that's all. I waited 2 hrs plus for the bathroom amenities, got me so pissed and later did I realised from the lady who replenished my bathroom said no one had informed her 2hrs ago and she just got informed to do the job. Imagine how pissed I felt then! this shows very poor communication between the staff which caused so much inconvenience for me. Simply doesn't justify why they are rated 4 stars with such a bad service, I wouldn't visit here anymore in the near future. I wouldn't recommend future travellers to consider this hotel if you want at least a basic service because whatever I have experienced is worse than basic service.

Nice conferencing facilities. Great comfortable spacious rooms and lovely interior decor at the reception coupled with professional service.

Average Hotel, nothing special. I was expecting better knowing about Crowne Plaza in other places. Decent, but there is much better at equal price.

My check-in and stay was going well up until the point I asked Lee-Ann Ho Hip for directions to the Gautrain Station. Without cause, she practically yelled at me—loud enough to turn heads in the crowded lobby area. I was taken aback by her conduct because it was in such sharp contrast to the otherwise professional decorum practiced by all the other staff members. A word to the wise, when someone approaches you with phone in-hand, one should be very careful of one's conduct. For what is recorded and then posted on social media, may not be very flattering to your employer's image. Lee-Ann's coarseness and general lack of finesse, would make her more suitable for barking orders in the kitchen, not as a front line staff. My encounter with her would make the Rosebank Crowne Plaza the last place I would choose to stay or recommend on my next visit.

Update: Reduced one star. In all my years staying in hotels, this one has the most disgraceful, almost dangerous electrical sockets in its rooms. Some almost falling out, other with clear burn marks on them. I have stayed here several times and it's not just one room. I hope the hotel really does something about all the electrical sockets in the rooms. Nice hotel in a reasonably safe neighborhood. Short walk to the Rosebank mall. Hotel provides shuttle service to the Rosebank mall and also to Sandton.

The ambience. It's such an elegant hotel and the restaurant is on fleek except the chairs are too low so for short people like me its a tad hard to eat without messing. All together amazing. Pricey though. But worth it at least once.

Local employee provided good services. However, the rude attitude of front desk (a white lady) destroyed all good feelings. I stayed there for 1 week and I didn't get good sleep at last night. I asked front desk if I can do late check out around 2pm since I am very tired (normally hotels provide some flexibilities). The white lady insisted to charge me for ZAR100 per hour with very tough voice. This made me feel awful. On top of this, I checked online if people join membership then they won't get charged for this. I confirmed with front desk and asked them to send application form to me but I didn't get application form before 1:30pm and the white lady still want to charge me when I check out (with very bad attitude! ). Sounds like they don't care about customers but only try to charge as much as possible.

Awesome service and their rooms are well cleaned.
