Our rooms had no electricity since 11pm and the supervisor couldn't help us. The reception and outside the lights were on, we couldn't even get hold of the manager.

Good day I had made a booking for my family to stay at eco hotel for 17th to 19th March prior to the dates. Booking was made so family will attend graduation which was canceled before dates mentioned due to Corona pandemic. Went to your hotel with a request to cancel and asking for a refund back before the 17th. And I was told no refund which I don't understand. I was told that I will have to 6 months to book anytime I would like to book of which is unreasonable. How would I leave my apartment in Midrand to book? There won't be a graduation ceremony. I would like clarity on this matter and a refund. How many times must I communicate with ull and no response. Poor customer service also. I WANT MY MONEY! Patiently waiting for your favourable response.

It has an amazing pool. Its clean and nice rooms but can they get a microwave and fridge in the rooms or at least one where you can keep your meat when you go and microwave where you can reheat your food when you are there… other than that it was stunning and I really loved the pool.

Nice view. Receptionist (Sphamandla) did very well his job. He welcomed us with warm hands and cleaners were so disciplined. I would like to visit again.

Decent and clean, burst pipe spolied my morning but the staff made a plan for me to shower.

Value for money is what you get also closer to gautrain and Grand Central airport.

Neet some maintenance. Bathroom handles falling off. Neet coffee in rooms a must. Old school tv. Not the cleanest.

Poor accommodation, no fridge, iron, electtic kettle for boiling water, small old wardrobe etc.

It's OK… Not the best. They don't have coffee bars in the rooms.

Clean and nice limited wi fi tho.

The room 12 had a window to the passage. Was woken up by guest's arriveing late and leaving early. Location was great and swimming pool area looks nice. They offer breakfast but did not have time to join them.

Nice place. Beautiful. Only that the Wi-Fi is limited to reception, pool and compound area. No Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Nice place especially when you are on budget, plus they have day rates.

I am only giving this establishment 2 stars instead of 1 star for the very friendly chap at the reception. Other than that this place was exceptionally disappointing and really not what it could be. True it is cheap in comparison to other hotels however one should still ensure that the basics are in place and that there is a maintenance program in place. My friend stayed in a place that should have earned 20 stars for just R200 more than I paid. There was just no comparison. Budget does not have to be low grade, it can be no frills but not what Ecotel are providing their guests. I won't be back. Your chap at the reception should be headhunted as he was probably one of the best hosts that I have ever interacted with.

Terrible room TV had no remote, no dstv, breakfast horrible… stayed 2nights room was never cleaned.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me I could not thank the staff enough.

Tried to phone for a booking, phone was picked up and put down.

Good value for money central Midrand, easy acess.

Room was clean, nice furniture. We missed a watercooker and coffee in the room. People were very friendly.

Ecotel Midrand does not look at all as their photos do. Rooms reeked of smoke and really smelt bad, very small and unkept. Did not expect the rooms to be so ugly and could not get a refund, Look at the rooms before you pay. It looks like a brothel. Out of the four rooms we booked only one was new but already dirty. Noisy area. And didn't feel safe.

Pleasant, friendly staff, laid back quite place.
