One if the best places in South Africa. So much to do and the food is 5 star.

Comfort with quality from a bygone erase — truly special, in a beautiful setting. Scores 11 out of 10 for me. Really, really good vegetarian food as well as unbelievable regular meals of lamb and the like. Highly rated.

Excellent rooms, clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The farm is beautiful!

The trails are beautifully mapped and clearly marked. The experience of sleeping in a cave was amazing. The scenery is breathtaking.

We had our wedding at Moolmanshoek this past weekend. I don't think there is a better wedding venue in South Africa. Stunning venue and great accomocation. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you to Mafie and her team. Everything a bride could ever wish for!

The most spectacular horse trails, on horses that are superbly trained and suited to each rider. Definite must do!

Lovely 16km run along the panoramic route. Safe, well-marked and very scenic. Mafie is just wonderful and made such an effort to accommodate me. Will certainly be back again :)

Friendly people and breathtaking views. To view wildlife from the back of a horse is an experience like none other.

Moolmanshoek really is a hidden gem. Superb food, fantastic service, amazing horses and the most spectacular views. There are some things in life that just cannot be explained, they must be felt, and the feel of this place is one of those things. You must experience it to know the feeling. I recommend Moolmanshoek should be on everyone’s bucket list.

I have been on holiday here numerous times and recently my husband and I decided to get married here. It was the best decision we made. This is a beautiful farm managed by stunning people. And the unbelievable and exhilarating horse rides are a huge bonus!

What a beautiful piece of heavan! Could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding, the weather was a little cold but everyone was super warm and welcoming not mention the amazing food. Best, most beautiful place ever.

A romantic breakaway destination! Great for weddings and conferences. Staff are attentive and friendly. Beautiful surrounds and buildings with secret elevated areas with gorgeous views of the surrounds and horses. Loved the horses. Attended a wonderful wedding and enjoyed the excellent food and peaceful ambiance.

Beautiful place with very awesome and down to earth people. If you are looking for a nice relaxing time away from the city this is definitely a place to consider. It is a tranquil place where you can gather ypur thoughts and recharge. You can also do some horse riding there as well.

We were there for a wedding. The running of the horses: I cannot explain it. It was breathtaking. If you want to touch the horses you are free to do so, because they come back and eat next to the buildings. The venue for the wedding was naturally beautiful and so was the restaurant.

I am not one to give a rating often, but Moolmanshoek is absolutely spectacular. Great views, hiking, biking, horse riding for beginners as well as advanced riders, mountains, game viewing safaris, picnics, great accommodation and of course great service and friendly faces. Can’t wait to go back! I definitely recommend Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve for families, couples, friends or just a weekend breakaway!

Wow, what an amazing weekend. The lodge is beautiful, the views are stunning and the staff all so friendly and helpful. We had the best time ever and cannot wait to come back for another visit!

Stunning farm. We did not go and view game. Dinner was great, and breakfast even better.

A must visit if you are in the Free State, breath taking views and plenty to do.

This is one of the most spectacular places we have visited over the last two years in South Africa. The views from the lodge are breathtaking. The hiking experience among extremely well kept game cannot be better. Check out the Waterkloof hike with it's waterfall. It is a bit of a climb to get there, but everyone who can shop in a mall for a few hours can do this hike. The food by the resident chef is among the best in the region. Ask management about their conservation efforts, and you will be surprised how after years of agricultural activity in the valley, the grasslands and marshlands have been restored. This is conservation at its best, focusing on people, nature and financial sustainability. If you are into horseback riding, this is also the place to be. Overall, a top notch destination.

One off my "new" favourite places. 2:30 hours drive from Bloemfontein and you're in mountain heaven. Accommodation and staff really make for a 5 star stay. Highly recommended.

Beautiful lodge and people! Must stay if you're in the area!

We were put in a Hut at Waterfall during the 4 Peaks Mountain Run Race. Now I suppose they thought they were doing us a favour giving us the servants quarters behind the main house. We've never been there but the website says 5 Star Lodge … so obviously there should nothing be to worried about — WRONG — it was really terrible. They said it was self catering — WRONG AGAIN — no kettle, no microwave, no fridge. Luckily the guests in the main house were kind enough to assist us. It was me, my wife and 3 year old daughter in an extremely cramped 2m diameter rondawel. Now at 5 Star Prices — R400 rand per person per night (2 nights) — not serviced, this seems rediculous and a rip-off. This place left a sour taste in my mouth and if it was not for the beautiful scenery and well presented event by the organisers of the event,, it would have been unbearable. Lastly, dont believe the free Wi-Fi they advertise — there's NO Wi-Fi and the food, altough quite good is extremely expensive. Its a pity I cannot post photos here?

Very friendly and welcoming in very quite surroundings. Peaceful and provides good atmosphere for recharging your energy levels.

This places is the coolest place ever, wish I could go back. Going to miss the place. You can learn so much there. By ofentse.
