Very comfortable hotel at the edge of Maribor. Staff helpfull and speaking perfectly english. 24x7 reception with drinks. Unfortunatelly restaurant is not available. Only breakfast. Rooms are big and clean. Close to the hotel there is children playground. Ideal if you need to stay overnight on your trip.

Nice hotel. Friendly and caring staff. Large outdoor parking lot. Close to the centre of Maribor (10 minutes drive). Hotel good value for money. Special feature: rate discount if you pay in cash.

On arrival the staff were friendly, the breakfast wasn't great as there wasn't much choice, the rooms are small and they don't come with air conditioning. Also on arrival in the room, which really surprised me is that the beds had to be done by themselves since the sheets were folded over the bed.

Very good hotel … I was tring to find a good hotel for one night because these days I was going back to my home to germany… After a lot search I found that hotel … very good breakfast.

If you appear more often, you have the chance to get pride of place on the picture gallery in the foyer with VIPs and others. Despite the size (47 A — and multi-bed) you will receive very politely and familiarly.

Overall a good hotel that is located between the city and the ski resort pohorje. It is definitely a good location if you would like to both ski as well as do some sightseeing; however, having a car is mandatory as it is not that close to the city center or the ski resort. The hotel is clean and looks good. The breakfast is really awful. The coffee, and juices taste extremely bad. But you can get good coffee from the reception for a decent price. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful during our stay.

The overall stay we had at hotel Bau was good. The hotel is located between the city center and ski slopes. It took us 10-15 mins by car to get to the gondola. It takes 5-10 by car to get to the city center. The rooms were pretty clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast was a disaster. The coffee was extremely bad as well as the orange juice. The juices were just water with some kind of orange syrup or something. Another thing that we didn't like was that we needed to pay for the parking. The parking place is quite big and you would really want to park at the hotel parking place as there aren't many public parking places around.

Good hotel but quite far from the city centre but the bus service is very good.

Clean and tidy. Breakfast was also good. But it was far from city centre. If you have not a transport problem, I recommend it.

Good place to stay in Maribor for families but it is a bit far from the centre. Rooms have lots of space and comfortable beds.

We stayed in Hotel Bau for one night in July. The staff was very welcoming and the rooms spacious. They even made a room for our three children with suiting bed linen for boys and girls. We forgot a plush toy, a staffed Fox in the room. The hotel contacted us and had it delivered to our home address. This is a favorite plush toy and we are very pleased for this great service!

We are already for 5 times here. The whole family is always super satisfied. Ambience is great, rooms clean, beds comfortable and Breakfast is delicious. Top Price — Performance Ratio. Tip for families: family rooms with 5 beds incl. Breakfast.
