Travellers' Haven Hostel

Can’t say enough positive things about this hostel. To begin with our original hostel fell through and we were driving around Lake Bled trying to find a place to stay, and it was around 11:30 p. M so everywhere was closed. We were about to give up and just sleep the three of us in our small Volkswagen but decided to try one more hostel to see if they were open. Traveller’s Haven was closed but the owners saw our car parked outside and came and asked if we were looking for a room to stay in. They both made the effort to come out and get us checked in to a room even though they had been closed. The room was spotlessly clean, and ready for us within 15 minutes. In the morning we found the modern washrooms and showers also very clean with free towels to use. As we left they let us know the best breakfast spots in the central town which was around a 3 minute walk. All in all nothing negative to say at all. — Great communication skills — Best hospitality — Spotlessly clean — Modern Washrooms — Five minute walk from great lake views — Three minute walk from the central town — Very affordable.

No heating tenants very few, the counter sometimes no one in need of walkie-talkie contact, check-in to their own bed to retire to the counter, from the castle and the station distance, the opposite of a supermarket is very cheap (except for fruit) near the place where there is no food.

Good locqtion. It is 10min from the castle. Rooms are typical hostel style. We liked the bathroom. Receptionist were kind and offered lot of activity.

In a nice part of the village and is close to a grocery store, but quite pricey for what you get. Was over charged for beds and didn't get room we booked due to overbooking. Bathrooms were mostly not clean or clogged, common room closes at 10pm, must make own bed and no towels provided. Key didn't work for our door so we were locked out for 5 hours until the owner was back. Was unclear on parking, so we had to pay for 24 hours. Owner was helpful for travel advice and what to do.

You get what you pay for. Decent bed and room. One toilet was clogged when I arrived. Just don't expect much and you'll be fine.

Comfy bed n room. Good value n location.

Location is very convenient and the host was friendly and helpful.

Small hostel with good staff. Kitchen, living room and shared bathroom in good condition.

Friendly staff, nice hostel. I found the some of the other guests a bit too young and immature (lots of 18 year olds on gap years), but this might just have been the nights I stayed.

Beautiful hostel with neat and clean bathroom and super friendly staff. free Wi-Fi, free bike and washing machine and kitchen. Love to go back and stay there.
