Great stay and friendly staff!

This hostel was perfect! Good rooms, nice backyard + bar and lovely staff. Kinda shady street at first sight but nothing to worry about, it was close to the old town city center. We really had fun here. Thank you! ☀️

The hostel was alright; the rooms and bathroom were basic and minimal hot water. The location was good. However, Cameron and Harry were the only redeeming qualities of the hostel. They were very approachable and gave us a private bar crawl; Harry is the kind of man you need when buying pants and Cameron is a smashing good time and really knows how to hit it hard. 10/10 would recommend Cameron and Harry.

Patio Hostel is really well located (in between the city center and the train station Bratislava Hl. St. ) so it’s perfect if you also have some time after check-out for having a walk in the city (so you can pick up your luggage on the way to the station). I stayed at a 4-bed dorm and the rooms were really good so were the beds (I had the best night sleep of my entire trip). There are no bunk beds which makes it much better for sleeping and not disturbing others (or being disturbed). Also they provide you with towel and shops and shampoo during your stay. The only downside is that the facilities are quite simple and the bar a bit underground and smelling like beer, but if you don’t like it you just avoid it and it’s all good :)

I had the most wonderful time at Patio Hostel. I can not fault the place. I love the staff and I love that they are always striving to improve. From the free laundry room to the day/night events, and everything in between. Take advantage of the wonderful events Clara hosts and get to know your fellow travelers. Really friendly and social hostel. The rooms are clean and have good lockers. There is a beer garden and a bar with cheap beer. It is very close to the centre and has many eating points close by. Just as well as there aren't really any cooking facilities in the hostel. I would definitely return!

I don't recommend it very much. Many photos from the hostel do not correspond to reality. Rooms are insanely stuffy, it is impossible to sleep. Much hotter than outside. The cheap cabin almost does not drain the water and everything is overflowing. The pressure is very weak. The water temperature jumps strongly.

The past several days I have been traveling around Italy and then to Slovakia. I ended up staying at patio twice and both were great experiences. Clean beds, bar, outdoor patio, and great location. Also I you go you have to connect with Elliot! He organized several events / Hangouts and all of us travelers could hang out and enjoy each other's company.

Liana and Elliott were the best quiz masters evaaaa! 100% would reccomend.

Hostel with youth energy. A warm welcome in perfect English and a free beer. Very nice and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Parking is to be paid extra. Close to the center, walking distance. And 10% discount on breakfast at Stur Cafe. Not very noticeable from the street side.

Very functional hostel, which was clean and in a good location. Doesn't have huge amounts of character… it looks and feel a bit like a bit block of flats, but you're only here to sleep, right? It's located in a courtyard, so set back from the road and you have to enter through a kind of tunnel, but it's pretty easy to spot and feels safe enough. They could really do with getting some artists in there to paint the walks with murals and something other than white. The common room and basement bar are thankfully both good and the only parts of the building which actually make it feel or look like a hostel. Generally it was very quiet and peaceful while we were there, so apparently not a party hostel at all. Must say it was hard to get a smile out of the staff, which I think say a lot about a hostel and how fun it is to stay there. The hostel is also opposite a very nice arthouse cinema and bistro cafe, both are definitely recommended. Otherwise the old town is only a 5-10 minute walk away. And perhaps most importantly, the price of rooms/beds here is a bargain, so all round a good place to stay when in Bratislava. If you found my review helpful, please give me a thumbs up Thanks!

Very very noisy student's lodging. The walls are not even cardboard, paper. Bad everything.

A very nice hostel, well maintained, friendly employees.

Clean and comfy, not bad location but we had a nightmare room mate. Staff asked him to leave but never escorted him to the room and out of the building so he had a chance to spitefully damage my wife's crutches and steel some perfumes and cosmetics. The parking to expensive comparing to the room prices.

Good location close to the city center, helpful staff. They also have a garden with outdoor seating. A decent hostel to consider when starting in Bratislava.

Excellent interior care, the access is a little strange through a parking lot but once inside the atmosphere is very pleasant. It has a bar and living room with computers and Internet access. I had a very good experience and the value for money is very good.

Patio is the best place for stay in Bratislava. They have everything what a Traveller need. Kitchen, fridge, laundry, luggages room, mini bar, common room, games to play. It's very cheap also. I paid 17 Euro for a night. 10 Euro for deposit for keys. It very near for all major tourist places. Security is well taken care off. Go for it.

Nice and cheap hostel. On each floor there is a mini kitchen. The rooms are quiet and clean. In the basement (ground floor) There is a bar, a room for games and rest.

I stayed here for a night last November, it was a good place to stay. Clean, safe, secure with an easy walk to the city center. Restaurants and food stands nearby, and they give you suggestions on places to go. The only thing is that it was pretty dead when I went, there probably won’t be a lot going on outside of peak season. The rooms are good even though they didn't have a lot of floor space. The layout is unique — each floor is divided into pods of 4-5 rooms, with each pod having a bathroom and its own kitchen area. There's a nice lounge and a bar in the basement, and a common patio outside in the back. They do a cool Slovak Barbecue in the evenings, but unfortunately it wasn't running when I went. They also have a pub crawl every night for about 4-5 Euros.

We were on March 10th and that day they stole three times. Our door was closed and the whole room Pisces friends, so someone had to enter with a key or force the door. Security 0. As I say, there were two more robberies besides ours.

Stayed here last May, in the same room as a drunk British stag party. They were noisy and belligerent the whole weekend, but pretty amiable guys. When half their party left the city for Portugal without telling the others, they got into a shouting match at 2 in the morning, one guy pissed on another guys mattress and they trashed the place. At one point the concierge came up to tell them to shut it, and they jumped on their beds or fell on the floor and pretended to be asleep like children. She threatened to call the cops on them. One of the most surreal and entertaining experiences of my life watching all these guys' plans go awry and seeing how they reacted to one another. It's one of my favorite stories to tell people. None of this is the fault of the hotel, they handled the situation as well as they could. I feel bad that the guests trashed the room, but what can you do in that situation? I got my money's worth and then some with the entertainment. 10/10 would hope to room with a bunch of drunk Brits again.

Excellent hostel, cheap and cheerful. The bar downstairs is decent value and the common room beside it is great for meeting other folk staying. Rooms were clean, secure, and excellent for groups. It's located just just a short walk from the town, so there's no need to get transport if you're going out. The Lidl just down the street is very handy also. The lack of a curfew was very good for my group, and the staff on reception were good chat, even when you came stumbling in at 3AM… Would definitely return here if I'm back in the city!

Simple and cozy, the common halls are not very comfortable, although in general the interiors are modern. The room, apparently recently after renovation, had a very strong building smell and the room was a bit cool. The girls at the reception are very friendly, will help orient in the city and suggest something. Very convenient location, close to the city centre, lots of shops and cafes in the surrounding area. Not far from the bus station, although it is rather because Bratislava itself is not very big. In general, very good on the totality of all parameters.

Super hostel! Recommend! When checking in we were given a coupon for one free drink at the bar! The bar is in the basement, but very cozy and atmospheric. A shower on the floor. There's a kitchen. The room is a neat, comfortable bed. 10/10 Want to come back here.

Decent hostel, parking is a bit rundown but the hostel is well kept. We also gave the towels, the rooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are new.

An ordinary student dormitory with a common kitchen where you can always drink tea or coffee. The price includes a welcome drink beer or a glass of wine. Parking is for money in the yard, on the adjacent streets at night for free.

I stayed one night, the bed was okay, but kitchen and wc were small. Also internet was not working in my room, maybe it was only for that day I don’t know. Anyway, people are friendly and the location is good, close to the old town.

I honestly cant recommend this hostel not at all. Im from Slovakia myself and its really shame it exisist place like this. If you have any another option try something else. 1. They didnt kept the reservation how I booked — stuf gave me another room like I booked;in reality not reconstructed; the bed in old broken room which was full of men. Paradoxly thanks to one of them;who drunk at 3 am came to room woke up and was throwing in the room after he felt down from bed ;stuff kindly moved me in the room which I origibnaly book :) it was empty. :) 2. Hotel is old;the common places like showers bathroom kitchen are dirty old it smell not nice 3. Hostel its really noisy personaly I had really bad experience here;i couldnt sleep here shower… reservation was total fail…

Hostel was clean and the rooms were simple but nice. We stayed in a private 2 bed room. The biggest issue with the rooms was not having a good bathroom-to-guest ratio, so sometimes had to wait for the bathroom or shower if it was in use. Not a big deal. The bar was decent and you got a complimentary welcome drink coupon at check-in. There was a nice common room with a TV and lots of computers. The laundry machines were super nice and they were FREE which was fantastic. The location of the hostel isn't ideal, but it's still only a 5 or 10 minute walk to downtown. Overall a great experience, would definitely stay again.

The price-performance ratio has unfortunately disappointed. The walls are very thin, so you can get everything from the other rooms and the hallway. If you need some comfort, I recommend to look for an alternative.

The hostel is at a very convenient place. It's near to the city center and Tesco so it's easy to shop for food. Laundry is also free though you need to pay for washing powder if you don't have one. The room is also warm and cozy. Overall, it's a good experience. Highly recommended.

The Apartment was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the stay there! More importantly, when I left my belongings behind, they were very reliable and quick in responding and assisting me in finding it. Though I have went back to another country, the staff that I spoke to, Alexandria, was very helpful and calming in reassuring me that I will get it back. Even better, the Patio Hostel mailed it to me personally for free! DEFINITELY a 5 star for Customer Service!

It's pretty good and it's cheap. The rooms are good although not quite clean.

The fridge on our floor stinks and many days there was no hot water.

I booked a bed in a 10 seater mixed dormitory. The beds are divided between two rooms and in mine there were 4 beds (single, not bunk). On each floor there are showers and kitchen. Very nice also the bar, meeting point among the guests. On arrival they give you a free drink at the bar (short, beer or drink). Very clean and courteous staff. It is a 10-minute walk from the main bus station.

It was already my 2nd stay in Patio and I can recommend it to everyone, the rooms are always clean and the prices are amazing for being so close to the city center. Staff is also very nice always. Cause of that I'll always chose Patio when I go back to Bratislava.

Good location, but the entry area is a bit dark and not very nice. I slept in a room for 3, with a bathroom shared with another room. Newly renovated room and clean bathroom, nothing to complain. Elevator was out of order m.

Very bad experience. The Patio hostel has a priori a problem to manage its reservations since even by taking it in advance and receiving a confirmation email they did not assign us any beds. Result: Transfer to another hostel poorly located as soon as we arrive in Bratislava, all with our suitcases to carry. And there was no garden.

The hostel is very nice. The staff were friendly and I really liked the rooms and the other facilities. The lights in the toilets weren't working for me unfortunately but that might just be a one off issue. Generally everything was very clean. The showers were good too. Stayed here for two nights in a six bed and would stay again.

Hostel in convenient location to downtown, clean rooms (Wi fi is fine) and courteous staff. Nice also to meet new people.

I had a great stay here. The staff were friendly and check in was easy. I was in an 8 bed room but it was spacious and had 2 separate rooms so didn't feel that way. Facilities were clean, kitchen had all the basics I needed, and free laundry was a big plus! Great location too. Only thing I would say is that the bunks felt a bit rickety, and could do with an upgrade, but the mattresses were very comfortable. All in all it's great value for money and a fantastic hostel :)

Everything is perfect, too bad the staff is not more welcoming.

One of the best hostel I have ever done! With the Slovak prices, we can only be filled. Every evening a BBQ is Organsur the terrace of the hostel, the plate neither costs €2 and you can order the next to the server a drink (pint of beer at 1, €50). The staff at the hotel EDT very nice! There are washing machines available and a free tumble dryer only the laundry is paid if you do not have one (€50). A fireplace with TV, computer, football… and a bar. The showers and toilets are common on each floor with a small fridge, a microwave and a kitchen here if you go through Bratislava, do not hesitate!

When I arrived at the hostel is was very different from what I expected. They advertise with pictures of their renovated rooms which only are on one floor out of five. Overall there is no clear space in the hostel to socialize, which for me as a solo traveller is important. The bar is very dark, the common/tv room has people all doing their own thing and the garden is only nice when the weather is good. However, once you have met some people they are fine spaces. The sleeping arrangements are okay. The rooms are very noisy as the floors, doors and the "lockers" (which are very hard to lock by design) creak. Also, in my room peoples who were in Bratislava just to party were mixed with people who wanted to get sleep and go sightseeing. So that didn't really work out that well. Now for some positives. The hostel is very close to the historical center, which is great. They have kitchens on every floor, however small they are and offer a fridge for your food. Also, the towels are free and the showers offer enough space to get dressed/undressed. There are two washing machines and a dryer, for which you can buy laundry detergent per machine at the front desk.

This was the cheapest hostel I've found in Bratislava, a city not very cheap speaking about accomodation. Central position, 24/7 open, all facilities, the only thing you should care is bringing a locker with you, because their safety boxes are not the stadard ones. Funny thing, you get a paper wristband with their advertising and you should keep it with you all the time and you may recognize some other persons hosted in the same place when you visit Bratislava :) ).
I personally reccomend it.

The facilities of the hostel are alright and the location and service is really good. Nevertheless there are a couple of things I found slightly disturbing, one of them was that the Wi-Fi was really bad, particularly in the room. The other was that there were only two plugs per room of 4 people. The bathroom and showers are alright, although sometimes I had to use cold water cuz it ran out of warm. There also some nice noteworthy details, such as the free welcome drink in the pub of the hostel or the helpful people at the front desk.

Great hostrel with a pretty good location. It has a little nice bar ~if you want to grab a beer ;) the only tiny detail is when I booked it was supposed to include breakfast but it only included a welcome drink. Anyway for its location, price and general details it was great!

Downtown is a 5 min walk, the staff are lovely and clean private room with bathroom. The downside: there was a lot of noise so far in the night and again early in the morning, or late insulation is non-existent.

Heavy traffic of guests, is a pretty big departure and has a lift. We invite you to a drink at check-in. In addition, selling drinks and breakfast for € 4 pack. The view from the accommodation are quite disappointing, gives to a building with all the facade chipped. The zones of access are very little neat.

Cold showers but good social patio and common room, had everything we needed (laundry, cheap BBQ dinner), staff were friendly.

We stayed at Patio for two nights. + Welcome drink + nice yard (you can eat there, just chat and have a drink, enjoy the sun, …) + very very cheap + luggage room + elevator + two supermarkets (Tesco and Lidl) nearby + not far away from the centre of Bratislava + the people at the front desk are nice and helpful and can speak English very well + lockers in the room for every person + bed sheets are included AND your bed is already made when you arrive — the showers were cold one morning! — not much space in shared bathrooms, only one sink for many people — not too clean — the "kitchen" on every floor is ridiculous — not much room for people to eat their food — the towels are so small… its crazy! . No breakfast offered If you dont mind the minus points too much and dont want to spend too much money, it is a very good place to stay. If you mind those points, you should look for another place to stay.

The Best hostel in Bratislava.

Everything was nice. Just a lovely place, clean and neat. Gotta love it.

Reasonable price, very clean, staff very nice site. They leave you a map and explain where you can go and the reception is open 24 h. There is Wi-Fi everywhere although it does very well to some rooms. The common areas such as bathroom and kitchen are very well.

Vacationing with friends in 5th. Apartments. Two room, kitchen (with all conveniences), razdelnyj. All roaming facilities. And not expensive.

Great hostel just 5 min from the city center! Staff very helpful and lots of facilities. There's a bar with darts, common room with pcs and foosball, and a garden where every night you can buy some sousages or wurstels on the BBQ! Very clean room and common spaces, the bathrooms were also clean and 2 for every floor (about 4 rooms). There's a locker for every bed, thery're bunk beds but very comfy and large. Definetly recommended.

Inexpensive with English speaking staff. Very close to the Bratislava city center. Great choice.

Based on the facilities and service the rate was on expensive side. Hostel world rate does not include tax. Beds linens were clean. Hostel location is very good. Despite of a cold day we were able to go to all main attractions walking. Hostel does not provide city map. Overall expensive but good.
