I can only recommend the Pod. Had a great stay and staff (Thx again Glenda & colleague) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Standard Check-out time of 11am and they allowed me to have a refreshing shower later that day after running around the city since my flight was not until 11pm. Fresh and complimentary water all day, too. The Pod itself was comfy and spotless. However a toll person might face some issues with the side entry-ones as I just fit with my 5ft7.

I'm rather surprised with its standards. Been backpacking for years and this place has to be one of the BEST hostels in the world! I dared say it fared even better than some of those 3stars hotels I've stayed. The rules that they imposed is of good thought and really for the benefit of their guests, I can appreciate that. No wonder the place is clean and neat throughout. As this is a hostel, communal living is a given, so do expect some undesirable habits from some 'hostelites'. Nonetheless the staff here & even the bosses are always on their feet in keeping the place clean, hygienic and comfortable to stay as I've witnessed. Plus the location is right smack in the heart of Chinatown, near train station & loads of food places to go! Can't ask for more for hostel staying to be honest! In total, I am very impressed with CapulePod & to your wonderful team — KUDOS & KEEP GOING! I WILL BE BACK.

This place has an excellent location: just in front of Chinatown MRT station. It is okay in general and the beds are comfortable but the atmosphere is very weird. Their no shoes policy is not nice since you have to go to the bathroom outside of the building with flip flops that everyone uses. Plus, the only bathrooms that are downstairs are never clean. Don’t book more than 2 nights there.

Pros: great location very near to the metro and with loads of food options around (Chinatown complex is amazing). Very clean. Free coffee, juice and water anytime. The pods are new and nice but don't expect much privacy as the curtain is see through. Cons: way way way too little common room space for the huge number of people staying. There are nice tables outside but they are unusable when it rains and inside there's nowhere to sit. The downstairs bathrooms are microscopic and you need to shower standing over a toilet. The upstairs women's bathroom are way better! Shame that for the price there isn't even a soap in the shower… This place doesn't have much of a hostel vibe. Wouldn't recommend for solo travellers because socialising is not a thing here.

One of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in. You’d think that for $25/night they could at least provide SOAP of any kind in any of the bathrooms! I specifically asked during booking to have a lower bunk, but when I arrived they told me they had none left. While I stayed there 3 of the lower bunks went unused. The men’s showers are so small and combined with a toilet in the stall, so you’re basically standing over the toilet while you shower. The women’s are on a different floor that involves leaving the hostel lobby and walking upstairs. They tell you to wear communal shower slippers which are torn and revolting after being work by god knows how many people. Other reviews have mentioned the staff were horrible. They weren’t rude to me personally but did give off an intimidating vibe which made them unaproachable. Check-out is 10:30am but they will deactivate your key card at 10am so you get locked out trying to get into your room, the bathroom, or lobby! There is nowhere to work comfortably in this hostel, so forget it if you’re travelling for business. The walls are all paper thin so not only do you get the sound of traffic from the main road, but you can hear everyone else in every room packing their stuff at 1am, or in the case of my last night someone blaring music at midnight. Your bunk will also shake if someone on the other side of the wall knocks it.

Price is not too expensive, located in front of MRT station, many food and shopping center within walking distance. Room is very clean, although the bathroom is pretty small.

The hostel is nice and the location is really good when your next to 2 major MRT lines. My biggest issue with the hostel is the toilet/showers which is fused together and too cramped for comfort. The website only shows photos of the toilet and shower rooms for the private rooms which looks nicer but if you plan on staying in the capsule dorm room, they're really bad. While staffs aren't, they're not as friendly compared to other hostels I've stayed in and they will scold you for letting the doors close on their own. Overall this place is good if you want to be close to the most convenient MRT station. Also you can be able to see through the curtain when the lights are turned on so you wont get complete privacy.

Clean hostel that is great for solo female travellers. It has a separate bathroom for females and the beds are comfy. Staff is friendly too. Plus its located close to all the hip bars in Chinatown, all of which are walking distance.

Overall, I was happy with my stay here. Excellent location within a block of the train station and a very walkable area — easy walk to the Marina Bay. Nice staff, good hangout area outside (though I didn't find the other guests to be friendly/social at all — what's up with that? ). Very cold rooms but warm comforter is given. Coffee machine was AWESOME — as much as you want. They provide free water and juice as well. Very clean — you'll have to remove your shoes at the front door. The lady there (who spoke English mainly) was kind enough to let me check in a little early. After flying for 30 hours, it was SO NICE to be able to crawl into my bed and sleep for 4-5 hours — I was OUT. Everyone was respectfully quiet inside the room. Also, I'm very claustrophobic so being able to pull down a shade for privacy was nice — instead of the "pods" they have at other places that look a little too closed in. The shower is located where the toilet is so if you go to the bathroom, the floor and toilet are always wet. They provide many flip flops to wear inside the bathroom which is helpful but you are also sharing those shoes with everyone else. Would be nice to know how often they wash them.

Cleanest. Hostel. Ever. I was hanging out during a planning/laundry day and the clean inside and outside multiple times a day. The staff is a small army of very kind people who's mission is to keep the place spotless. Beds are very comfortable although the curtain is a bit see through and will let some light through. Right next to the Chinatown MRT station!

I stopped by to see the place on a Friday morning around 11:30am and was met with hostility by the staff. "Be quick, our lounge is for guests only. " And, "Just look at everything on our website. " Completely unwelcoming especially as compared to the nearby hostels I visited such as Wink Capsule Hostel and Beary Best Hostel where the staff showed me around with enthusiasm. I can't imagine staying here with this staff would be very enjoyable.

Best hostel in Singapore. Nice beds. Good common area. Cheap clothes washing. Great location and prices.

It's clean, comfortable bed, 1 pillow, tiny shower/toilet, near chinatown mrt, good Wi-Fi, free coffee/water, towel but no soap, locker compartment, electric plug, you get what you pay for.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, and comfy beds that feel private for a hostel. Bathroom shower situation is a little weird, but nothing bad. This place is very clean and quiet.

Located right beside the metro station. They offer free water, coffee and juice which you can enjoy on the terrace. The beds are very comfortabel and the lockers are good. Had a great stay here.

The hostel was very clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Having a really good time (and sleep) here. Definitelly will come back in the future. Very recommended for traveller with budget.

Bad Management… Booked & Paid full for 10 beds in 1 room but only 8 friends stayed… How can they let go the other 2 beds in the same room to someone else… So that means they collect payment from me & the other customers… Shouldn't let go the other 2 beds that I already paid full for the other 2 beds… That is Cheating customers trust… Do be careful & ask everything in the hostel before u pay for it.

Location is superb! Just right outside of Chinatown MRT exit! Hostel is clean and comfortable. You get free drinks like coffee and juices all day long. My only downside is the inconvenience of bathroom where you need to pass the common area. Good thing for female is that, you can go to Level 3 for more private and spacious bathroom. Other than that, it was a really great stay.

The rooms are comfortable, the air conditioner is very cool, but the bed is stained with some black cotton lint, and the ladder on the upper bunk is very difficult to climb! Both the vertical ladder pedal and thin, a steel bar, climbed down very dangerous and foot pain, completely do not recommend the foot inconvenient sleep upper berth.
Second floor public toilets to take a bath is too small, standing next to the toilet, there is no place to put clothes will be wet, but the third floor female shower is very good, compared to down the bath space is much larger.

Employees attitude is rubbish, first word when you step in instead of a welcome they interrogate you like you're a criminal. Total bullshit.

Booked 2 family rooms but got only 1 room, the hotel said that this mistake was happened causing from the software. The hotel returned the money that I paid 3months ago. Four of us had to find the new rooms suddenly by ourselves. More budget, very messy, very bad experience. The good side, the room is clean and big enough for a family.

Very clean hostel and beds with very good rules which keeps the hostel very clean. Location is ideal, close to the metro and some sights in of Chinatown. Staff is very helpful as well.

Bathroom is an issue. Only 2 on the one level. Incredibly small. Snoring kept me up all night. Plus I felt the AC wasn't cool enough. The receptionist got mad when I checked out because my used towel wasn't on the bed (I had thrown it on the floor as they were cleaning the room and all dirty towels were placed there). She was gonna charge me 10 bucks for that.

Do not stay here. You have been warned… On the surface place seems great. Good reviews, good location, it is clean, but trust me there is a 50/50 chance you will be miserable. I stayed 2 nights and was up all night long from the snoring of others. It was echoing off the capsule across from me and has to do with the positioning of the capsules. (I had earplugs, it didn't help at all) I wasn't the only one. Half the people in my room could not sleep and I talked to a girl that stayed in an all girl's room and she said the same for there. I could not connect to Wi-Fi half the time and we're in Singapore. The shower/toilet is the tightest I've seen after probably 75 hostels I've stayed in. You basically are standing in the toilet while showering. The girl that runs the front desk could not give a damn about you (the other girls were sweet) and the owner showed the worst customer service I've ever seen in all my years traveling the world. You've been warned. You may get lucky and have a good stay, but then again you may have a miserable experience here. It's not worth it, pick another spot.

Extremely clean, super fast Wi-Fi for this price! Upload at 16 Mbps and download at 21 Mbps in the room! I highly recommend this place as an economic stay in Singapore. All the staff members were very friendly. They also stick to the rules quite strictly, which as a guest, I really appreciate. If any of your neighbors are loud, just tell the front desk, they'll spring up from their chairs and help you quiet down the loud people. Curfew at 10:30 pm, lasts till around 8 am. The 10 people female room 2G shares the wall with 10 people mixed room 2F, the wall is not completely concealed, if you sit on the upper bunk beds you will see that the wall is through close to the ceiling. So be aware that it may get loud sometime. But, once the curfew kicks in at 10:30, it quiets down, and you can always ask the front desk to help you "educate" your neighbors.

Price is quite high in comparison with other hostel but with comfort, good security, nice staff and also the location (3 mins to subway) it is reasonable.

Would give 4.5*, but 4 is just not enough. Super clean place, curtains are good for privacy, only problem is the location and size of the combined shower and toilet rooms. Have to walk all over the hangout area in order to get there and it's just too small to really move there. But that's only a small drawback.

Visitor from Indonesia, stayed for one night only. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The capsule pod is nice and clean. The bathroom and the sitting area is also nice and clean. No breakfast thou, but the freeflow complimentary beverages is very nice and has lots of choices too.

Nice place, very clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are nicely furnished, it all looks very new. Its also good value for money if you don't want to spend too much on accommodation, Singapore is quite an expensive city so you can save some money and stay in a nice place :)

New, clean and the price are reasonable. Great location, within 10 seconds walk from Chinatown MRT station. The manager and staffs showed great hospitality, it almost felt like home. … I had stayed in 3 different hostels this week in Singapore.
One has awfully rude attitude, another has only 1 toilet for 20 guests. CapsulePod is definitely the best of the best. Will highly recommend to friends and stay here again whenever I revisit.
