This hotel barely deserves a 3 star rating. I booked a single king size bed, but they wanted to give me a single bed room. So they kept me waiting u till they were able to sort out a room as per the booking. When I went to the room, it had a very bad smell: paint, humidity and bad toilet smell. I thought that this smell would go away, but unfortunately it remained during my whole stay. I asked for cleaning the room and some water around 6:15 in the after noon, they said that we are sorry this is not possible after 6:00 pm, but how can this be possible at a 5 star hotel! This is the last time I stay there honestly.

Very convenient location. Next to gate no 15. Restaurant, fast food and shopping are all near by with in walking distance. Rooms are big enough. We had a room with a kitchen. Fast elevators. Grocery store Bin Dawood is in the same building.

A great hotel in a perfect location. This enormous hotel is well placed wit views of the Haram (if you are lucky enough to have a front facing room). The hotel is very popular and as such is always busy like most of the other hotels. The elevators can sometime s be very busy especially at meal times and also at prayer times. The breakfasts are outstanding and certainly worth attending, the food is great and the selection vast.

With the amount of people traffic through this hotel, conveniently located at the corner gate to Masjid Al Nabawi, the level of upkeep has been good.   Friendly staff in the hotel, good selection of breakfast (caters also for western tastes), and situated above an excellent mall that also has a food area located at the back.   Overall, a great choice.

The hotel location is great and few good restaurants to eat in, bin dawood supermarket in the hotel and quiet a few shops. If you are coming in the car parking is not free SAR5 /hour. The room was good with fridge, TV and safe. The toilet was the only issue with awkward design and difficult to get in. It depends on the room, we had the classic king room.

The biggest advantage of this establishment is its proximity to the mosque (Al Haram Al Nabawi) to which you access directly through Gate 15. Another advantage is that it sits at the top of a shopping mall called ANWAR ALMADINAH MALL. But otherwise you may suffer a little wait at the reception when you arrive (this is the rule in Medina, given the number of groups arriving each day). The Internet connection is not terrible, and disappears completely sometimes.

Excellent Hotel and excellent service too! For past 4 years I've always picked Movenpick. Staff is pleasant, breakfast is excellent and the cuisine selection is top class!

My family and I loved our stay at this hotel. We were most impressed by how the hotel management received us and checked us in so quickly. We flew in at 3 AM, so needless to say we were all exhausted but the check in process was painless. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, the management is helpful and friendly, and the service was remarkable; we really felt welcome and at home here. There is a variety of delicious foods at breakfast and the walk to the Masjid is less than a minute. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Madinah. We were so happy to be in this city and our experience at the hotel made our stay even more pleasant.

Did not find the hotel appealing one bit in all honesty. Hotel is rather old; the decor and even the smell is quite telling of that fact. I feel compelled to use words such as old, dingy and uncomfortable. Tried to spend as the least amount of time in the hotel as possible. Would recommend others to avoid and find a better hotel. Breakfast buffet wasn't great, it was the exact same items every morning and most of which will leave you with a foul taste in the mouth. Beds didn't feel very clean and call me a snob, but I like a bathroom which is somewhat a pleasant place to be in however it was far from it. Would plead you to spend a little more money and get a better hotel. Not worth saving a little money to have a horrific experience.

We stayed here 5-10 February 2018. This shouldn’t be rated a 5 star hotel. It is very old and outdated. The rooms are not spacious at all and the bathroom was not clean and seemed extremely old! We didn’t even have proper windows in our room as when you opened the curtains our view was a wall, thus making the room quite dark even during the day. The only thing that was good was the breakfast.

Great location to the masjid (Gate 15). Rooms inside are very outdated, old furniture and facilities. We had a superior room for 4 people. The beds where 2 singles put together to make 1 double room which was not suitable as the beds kept moving apart. Breakfast was good, a lot of selection.

Excellent and nothing to say at the level of the reception, the staff, the management, the restoration (succulent and varied! ) as well as the services available to us.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to stay in Madinah. The service was great and this place offers the best breakfast ever. It has a bit of everything. Not to mention that the location is prime. Had a great time and will stay again on my next visit Inshallah.

Stayed there three nights. Gave me 4 twin bed although I was booked for 1 king bed and was very reluctant to help me get a better room. I ended up keeping what I got as it was a holy trip. The furnishings are really old and the washroom was really cramped up and got a clogged sink. Also keep in mind the Lunch and Dinner at the hotel is quite expensive (200 SAR/person). No Money exchange present at the hotel building as well. Room service didn’t show up until the last day. Great breakfast menu with view to Al haram gate 15. Really didn’t feel like 5 star service, will try some other hotels next time as there are many in that vicinity. Overall no such a bad hotel but need some upgrades in respect to the quality of the room.

Conveniently located and close the the Masjid by gate 15. Everything you need is near by, shopping, restaurants, etc. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend that if you're in planning a trip to Medina you have to stay here if you can. Definitely our first pick! A big thank you to Dar El Salam for choosing this hotel for our sacred journey!

Excellent location if you are travelling with family. Awesome breakfast. The only thing this hotel lacks is the attitude of front desk staff. If you are staying on a weekend, they will not answer any phone calls on the reception. So if you have any issue with your room, you may have to walk down to the reception as the staff there is "busy with customers" and doesn't answer calls on the reception desks.

I stayed with family and really liked it. The biggest problem was that the stove was not working and there was no microwave oven. Management told us that the government has instructed every hotel not to use stove in rooms anymore. In that case each room should have microwave oven instead. But microwave oven was not available and thus we suffer. All the workers in hotel were very good and courteous.

It was a great pleasure staying at this hotel. Their service and staff is great. Always ready to accommodate guests needs. Breakfast was included in the package and it was amazing! For sure l will recommend this hotel to anyone any time.

Lots of problem in the rooms I was changed from room but nothing has changed in addition to that there are works during the day and in the evening.

Good location due to proximity to Masjid. Very courteous staff. Check in is smooth. Room service requests have fast response and proper action. Car parking facilities are limited, so it is a bit difficult task to get parking on peak times. Security personnel are not multi linguistic, and only Arabic speaking.

Beautiful Hotel Macha'ellah about 120 meters from the mosque El Madina el Haram Ennabawi on the front doors 15 and 16…

Best hotel in the town. Adjacent with Masjid-e-Nabawi Shareef. Just come out from the Hotel's exit and enter into the Masjid-e-Nabawi Shareef. Perfect high class standard rooms. Along with international standard services available. Hotel Lobby is beautiful. View of Masjid-e-Nabawi from your room is definitely amaze you being as a Muslim.

The staff were good. It was crowded with pilgrims. They didn't have a brakfast buffet.

The rooms overlooking the course are obscure restoration and normal service.

Hotel is nice However we actually got mixed up with the other branch in Anwar. Which is the closer hotel. However the masjid al nabawi was closer for the men. Ladies would need to walk alot more.

“I will never ever stay in this hotel in my entire life! ” Nothing good at all! Worst of the worst in terms of everything. Don't waste your money on this hotel. Go for Zamzam Pullman Hotel. It is 100 times better than MovenPick Hotel. Hotel is near Prophet's Mosque. That's the only good thing about it.

Good place to spend some nights in Medina however the information we got through the call center wasn't what we were told when we came to the hotel… the call receptionist must have all info correct. But anyway. Thanks for the breakfast it was delicious .

Good experience. Not matching our expectations though. The breakfast was good. Rooms are normal. The staff need improvement. All in all you better try some other hotels nearby, like Zamzam Pullman.

This is a request that is being sent with respect to you, in the hope that you make somebody else's experience more enjoyable. Please meet the guests of Madina with a smile in your establishment. You will feed their hungry soles in the holy month of Ramadan. Front desk have little time for a smile, apart from one gentlemen in a suit. The restaurant staff on the second floor won't even look at you when you present your order. AC, is ailing, poor and loud. Please take these comments from a westener as a baseline for improvement.

Great view of Haram, deluxe room a small can but the restaurant is not bad.

I can still consider it 5 stars hotel given that it's old and they're trying to catch up. Food is good so is the decor. Not the cleanest hotel and their staff aren't the nicest. Their service is a bit slow sometimes although they don't have many guests.

Praise ALLAHU, everything was fine. We lived for 3 days and are happy.

Was a good hotel however it wasn't very tidy up on arrival. There were nice kind staff and the hotel itself was decent. I don't think it should be classified as a 5* hotel and I did expect more.

Bad hotel for several reasons 1 — the carpet VERY dirty 2 — water heater very dirty and I contact the service provider for replace it. They just clean it, unfortunately its still dirty (Edited) they provided me with new one 3 — housekeeper is delayed every time I request it. (delay time 3-4 hours) 4 — the window is broken and fixed by tape (really by tape) 5 — the trash cane is very very small ، 1 tissue will fill it completely 6-poor lighting 7-furniture very old and scratched 8-room services very expensive not in normal fashion its like *7 time regular price 9 — refrigerator VERY abnormal small 10 — no gym or swimming pole or any entertainment activity Positive things 1-reception very polite 2 — net free 3 — there is shopping centre in the hotel The hotel like 2 stars only.

Very bad dirty place. Very poor customer service. Must avoid. Plzzzzzz.

I stayed in this hotel from 23rd of December — 27th of December. I was ok for 1st day but as soon as I had my breakfast on 2nd day I got severe diarrhoea by eating Smoked Salmon. I initially got some medication from a local pharmacy but it did not work. Then I become so week by going to toilet every 10 minutes that I was almost unconscious. Next day I called the hotel Food manager and complained about the food he initially refused to accept that it was due to contaminated fish. Later on he called me and was only talking about sending me some food. I said to him that I don’t feel like eating. Meanwhile my friend from Makkah came to see me and he got me some medication. I left this hotel a day earlier. This hotel is not a 2 star hotel even. Lifts were out of order. I would suggest everyone to avoid taking a breakfast included package and buy your own food from supermarkets. It is much cheaper, healthier and safer.

One of the badest hotel in the world in terms of customers service, flexibility, cleaning.

LOVELY HOTEL! Big spacious rooms. My son was crying and reception gave candy. Free Wi-Fi and free parking (not like makkah). Rooms have free coffee tea and water. Healthy breakfast. Overall, peaceful hotel and staff cooperative. Far from womens entrance and no bus.
