The airport is large and comfortable for waiting for your flight or meeting arrivals. Various cafes and the like. But places-shops not so much for such a large stream of people. Decent airport. Not too fanciful. Won a discount at the Duty free that enticed me to do more shopping. As usual, Russian immigration protocols can be intimidating or irritating. Just an okay Airport.

Important tip: taxi only by phone or from special desk before exit arrival hall. Private drivers in the hall (even with badges) will take as minimum as triple price (even with counter). The worst airport ever been to! The arrogance of personnel strikes a lot especially if taking into consideration the context of 'cultural capital of Russia'. The toilets are gross — it stinks as if they never clean it! No soap even at baby rooms! Thanks God loads of paper on the floor majorly! And no means of personal care (if you know what I mean) are sold nowhere inside! N O W H E R E! Gross gross gross! I hope I'll never happen here ever again.

My baggage got lost and I had to go through this stupid procedure of having my passport scanned 5 times in different places of the airport. They gave me a note and told me to go to different places each time. It took more than 2 hours to get my baggage back. Just before getting it back, I had to declare what I had in my bag and the cost so that they could charge me extra for giving it back to me! What the hell! As if it matters when it is not even my fault in the first place. Staff were friendly but that airport procedure is trash. Fix it.

Be ready-there aren’t smoking rooms, after the passport control. In general, this is a nice airport, with stores, Wi-Fi, restaurants and cafes. Use uber by mobile app-it is fine and cheap! But app, remember it! Do not forget visiting the Outlet Village, a lot of brands in sale. Close to the airport.

It is a good airport, fairly small but overall ok. I was vising during confederations cup, and it was a bit busy. Border guards did their job well and fast. Security is also good — there are multiple layers, and lines are small. Airport is not that big so there aren't many choices for destinations to choose from. Choices for shops and restaurants are also limited. Transport to and from the airport is another story, it's very limited. In order for you to get to St. Petersburg you have to take a buss or a taxi. There is no direct buss connection to city centre.

After you passed all baggage, hand bag and documents checks (for me it took about 20 minutes) you go straight to your block which is not connected to the rest blocks. My flight was from D block. It looks nice and clean. Duty free zone is small, so don' t expect too much. There are few coffee shops, russian restaurant, Mc Donald's, Burger King so you will not stay hungry. I didn't find a bankomat and water cooler in my block — a little bit confusing.

Excellent facilities in the newly constructed terminal building where international and domestic flights are in one place. However, in my opinion, as a person living in St Petersburg I think police needs to do their job more efficiently because at times there are dubious people offering taxi fares at often highly inflated prices. But it's getting better as years are passing. Keep up the good work guys!

So an acceptable hotel, hostel, inside Café remade. Took the simple room for overnight stays for 1300. Very quiet peaceful place order. Recommend that those who are not in your wallet so much money and there is no way to spend the night with relatives and loved ones.
