Godzillas Rooms Hostel

Such a bad service! Never book the room there! I have canceled the room according the cancelation policy — no answer, no confirmation. Then I was charged for the night (although I didn't stay there and cancelled my reservation) and I can not get my money back since 1, 5 month! I have written many emails already and called the hostel many times. Always the same answer — "our manager is not here". It is cheating and it is illegal! never stay there!

4/5 stars. I compare this with Western Hostels, however compared with other Eastern Europe and Russian Hostels I have stayed in it is a clear 5 Star. The staff were excellent, kind, providing a free tour and traditional Russian food. If your Russian isn't too good, you should stay here.

It is a very nice hostel, clean, very well located and excellent price, you have laundry service, Wi-Fi, kitchen, all night soup and free coffee or tea permanent. Recommended.

A very centrally located hostel and fun. The common areas are very useful, as the kitchen with your living room. Rooms warm and comfortable.

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel while I was in Moscow with a class last winter. It is an english speaking hostel so that was definitely plus since many of us did not speak Russian. The hostel is very close to the city center so you can easily visit Kremlin by walking. It has a kitchen on each top floor so you can buy grocery from outside and cook something easily. Public areas in the hostel are daily cleaned so it is a very clean facility. And did I say how cheap it is to stay there? The hostel is largely used by internationals so you may definitely meet some cool people. And it had free Wi-Fi.

Staying here in June with two friends. Our room is quite hot at night, but that's more to do with the Russian weather. It's very central with a short walk to the city centre. It also feels a very safe location.

I stayed here as part of the Vodka Train trip through Russia. The facilities are perfect and the hostel is clean and well looked after. In winter the steps can be a bit dangerous with all the ice/water so just be careful. The staff were really friendly and spoke English. Its a short walk to the Kremlin and to the local metro stations.

I stayed there with 2 friends on November of 2011. It's a nice place, very close to the Tsvetnoy Bulvar Metro Station and a 20-minute walk from Kremlin. The rooms were ok, we had to share the toilette and the shower with many other people but that was not a problem because there was always a woman cleaning up the hostel. From our experience, it is one of the very few places in Moscow where people speak English fluently and are very helpful for instructions and everything. Also, there are a couple of 24hr supermarkets and bars close to the hostel, so that's a plus. A little advice, if you want to buy vodka from a supermarket do it before 10pm or you're going to have to drink soda for the rest of your night.

I am not sure why it has such bad reviews. We recently stayed there (January). The hostel was great and recently renovated. The staff (Igor, Masha) were very friendly and they have lots of showers. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was very spacious and cosy.
