Review of City Centre Rotana Doha 5*

Just came back from The Caramel High Tea — @Rotana_Hotels I must say after reading reviews thought it would be a great place to spend my birthday not at all I'm not one to complain but I wasn't happy and never received this kind of service since I've been here on holiday in Qatar firstly the staff are not very welcoming no customer service showing me to my seat, presenting me with a menu of the high tea with their selections I had to get up from my seat just to sample teas as I didn't have a menu to even see the selection they had (all awful tasting and cold as they'd probably been out on display the whole day), the food eventually came after waiting between 30-45mins (with no apologies from staff) then I had to ask for a plate and as me and my friend had a voucher for buy one get one free was waiting 10mins for the other afternoon tea to arrive but didn't we asked the waitress where the other one was but she didn't understand so called the manager who then explained to us how they do it there but the staff should of explained this to us beforehand. As the service was so bad asked for the free afternoon tea to be taken away which again took long to come. I would understand if the place was packed but it was practically empty. The manager (Hassan) seemed nice and did understand where we was coming from and understood our complaints we gave him suggestions on improving service and quality for the new year. Hassan suggested we come back another time and said it would be different maybe but I won't be returning AGAIN.
