I recommend it because, first of all, it is a natural paradise. Then it has a good service, spaces to enjoy decorated with good taste, the food you enjoy during your stay is delicious and fresh. Good selection of drinks. You have everything to have fun, rest, disconnect and reconnect with what is essential. I would say that it is the ideal place, the best place in Puerto Rico if you are looking to spend a few days relaxing in front of the sea. The atmosphere here is delightfully extraordinary.

It’s a great resort, relaxing clean atmosphere. Impressive restaurant.

That atmosphere was nice but as we walked around we realized this is also a residential place. If you're getting a 1 bdr, it was smaller than my daughter's room at home. No extra seating other than the bed. Only a small handful of the villas actually have views to the beach. If you're here in off season almost all the beaches we visited seemed private, so that "private" beach sell seemed far less important. We stayed a week, there are no laundry services, or laundry room. I inquired 3 times about regular laundry, but they couldn't give me a straight answer. We explored a lot of Puerto Rico and probably could have stayed somewhere else in a hotel that gave us a view of the water from the room. The restaurant had great breakfast, we only ate there once. We could have stayed somewhere else for less and possibly a beach view and bigger. They don't all have kitchenettes. They definitely don't look like the picture. There's not much "resort" about it. It's overrated for the price we paid. Rent a car if you're expecting more from Puerto Rico.

Villa Montaña is a beautiful resort especially for a couples retreat. However, I find it extremely dissapointing that they charge for everything even though we are already paying a premium price for the room. You can’t use any pool unless you rent loungers and even though they say there’s no availability, you find the pool to be completely empty. If you are asking for reservations I would have hotel staff see that those reservations are being occupied. Loungers are an additional price. I can’t say I’m happy with my stay. It’s not fair for guests.

Beautiful resort staff is friendly and accommodating. We had our june wedding recently there, and I can honestly say the only bad thing about it was the wedding planner Yhasmina Sofia she was rude and dismissive but her assistant Priscilla made up for it.

It’s a lovely property with a delicious restaurant Eclipse however some of the rooms need to be re-done and the service is SO slow at the restaurant way too slow (40 min wait for a cocktail) they need more staff but overall had a nice stay with my children.

We had a great experience here. The beach was very clean, and could not be more beautiful. We spent hours walking along the beach looking for shells and sea glass.

This Resort is amazing, if you are searching for peace, grounding, contact with nature and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches of PR and at the same time delight yourself with exquisite food, this is the place. Come and visit!

Excellent service, employees attentive and very friendly. We Tried several appetizers and main courses, and they were delicious. And the "creme brullé" of chocolate and Mocha have to prove it, it is exquisite. We'll Definitely be back.

You better buy plenty of water in the supermarket before you come here. They won’t even give you a glass of it for free in the restaurant. You have to buy it. No water in the room as well when you arrive.
Beautiful but isolated location (no shops or other restaurants in walking distance), good food, but on the pricey side for P. R. Rooms ok, but nothing special.

Was there for my sister's wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the beach view can't be beat. However the resort itself was trying to cut corners wherever it could and it showed. For example, the breakfast that was supposed to be delivered to our room the day of the wedding consisted of 5 mini pastries that look like they had been bought from Walmart. The bonfire for the smores they were supposed to have wasn't in a firepit, so the heat just radiated outward into everyone's faces, meaning they couldn't get close enough to toast the marshmallows. For the second course of the reception, we were supposed to get a bowl of soup, and what we got was a shot glass of soup. Just things like that gave the impression they cut corners.

Nice beach and quiet. But old dirty rooms. No hot water. No internet. No taxi service close by. Only option is the fantastic beach restaurant.

I cant say enough fantastic things about my stay at this hotel. We reserved a villa close enough to the beach but not right in front, just a few walking feet from the beach and the restaurant. The hotel is quiet and its bigger than it looks actually. I liked most the ambience of the restaurant, with the little hanging lights at night and the fresh flowers, all details are though through!

This place is basically a dream. When you are there it's surreal. You feel you are either dreaming on in a film. If you are lucky enough to eat here or stay here, just soak it up.

Carla from the Eclipse restaurant is an absolute doll! She made our lunch so enjoyable and she was so sweet we wanted her to stay and hang out with us! Keep up the good work Carla :)

If you're a bride interested in booking a wedding/reception/guest lodging/or honeymoon here — DON'T HESITATE! We actually did our ceremony through a different company, but could not recommend the organization and attention to detail of this place more. EVERYTHING is top notch, and they REALLY cater to you! Lodging is private and spacious but also quaint, with a beautiful pool and onsite beautiful bar within walking distance. Great for a honeymoon or even to book a block of guests after a fun reception here. The ocean is just off of the restaurant, and you can even book your own beachside bonfire post reception (do it! SO worth it! ). Yhasmina Sophia coordinated my micro-wedding reception and I couldn't have been happier. Do yourself a favor and let Montana handle your event, I wish I had booked more of my wedding process with them!

Excellent restaurant, attention and service!

Probably one of the better hotels on the island based on service and location. For those who want a family get-a-way or those who want romance this place is truly amazing. The area is so big you barely see people until you come to the restaurant and then its fun. The chef is outstanding. It is peaceful yet fun. And the sunsets will blow your mind. A must stay for those who like boutique hotels.

Front desk told us we had an 'extra feee night'' when we stayed here for a wedding but after we left they took $800 off the brother of the grooms credit card without authorisation because we 'stayed an extra night"' they told us the wrong room was free — but we still haven't for our money back even though it was their error. Big miss communication between the wedding coordinator and the front desk staff the day of the wedding. Get everything in writing! Our complaint is still pending — will remove his review if we get our money back. Very disappointed at the front desk staff for costing us $500 — we were ready to check out a day early otherwise.

I've been working with Yhasmina Sophia for the past couple of weeks on booking a wedding reception at the Eclipse at Villa Montana — and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Yhasmina is prompt, professional, cheerful, accommodating, and exceedingly helpful. Planning this event was surprisingly one of the easiest parts of my wedding process, and arguably the favorite so far. So much fun! I only wish I'd known the caliber of this company sooner! I would have booked more. 5 star experience.

Great food! Very beautiful scenery being right on the beach. Staff is very friendly but noticed when busy the service is slow and forgetful.

Spent two nights over New Years weekend, exceptional experience. Stayed in a deluxe room which was about a 30 second walk from the restaurant and beach. Staff are very engaging, especially the waiters and bartenders, told us nearby beaches to visit and places to go out at night. We plan on returning for this upcoming New Years again hopefully.

Villa Montana is a magical gem on the west coast of Puerto Rico. My Wife and I frequent the resort on a yearly basis, and living in San Juan we're just hours from pure relaxation. Hospitality is A++, the food @ their restaurant Eclipse is unbelievable, beach side service lunch service and elegant evening (sunset) dining. This resort is for the traveler that's looking to just relax… Highly recommended!

Paper thin walls. Very loud adjoining neighbors. Here now and waiting to see how the front desk handles it. They're literally fighting and screaming. Unable to call front desk or 911 because no cell service and room phone doesn't work. Pretty bad safety issue. Had to walk a quarter mile to the front desk where they said they'll see if they have other rooms. But of course we have to wait until room service shows up at 9 am. I've been up since 6 listening to the screaming next door. So far this place sucks.

Food: 2 Decor: 4 Service: 3 This review is for Eclipse, the restaurant. My friend and I walked in for dinner around 7:30pm Friday. We weren't too hungry, so we both opted for the daily fish special. Fish wasn't that great, and I didn't really like the chili or wasabi sauce that went with it. Service was slow, but the oceanview was very nice.

My daughter got married recently at the lovely, amazing Villa Montana resort! They exceeded my expectations on every level. My biggest concern when she expressed their desire for a destination wedding was logistics, but there was absolutely no need for worry. They handled every detail allowing us a perfectly stress free, beautiful wedding. The food was divine, the decor and atmosphere so picture perfect, the hospitality of everyone we encountered was terrific, and the accommodations were as elegant and comfortable as anywhere I've ever been! I highly recommend this elegant yet laid back and relaxing resort for a wedding event or vacation spot! Absolutely top notch!

Today I decide to go with my friends to eat lunch because I went two times before and I was impress positively with the services. The waiter was too rude. We asked for pizza said the oven was not cold we told him we waited and then said it was damaged so he lost 4 regular customers.

This place is beautiful. That's it! the staff is inexperienced in the concept of resort. While they are nice there is nothing in this resort that makes you feel like you are in a high end resort nothing that makes you feel special. It truly feels like a timeshare with zero amenities. You can't even get a drink on the beach without getting it yourself.

Loved it… what a unique and charming hotel, its right on the west coast of the island, a place my boyfriend and I had never visited before, but decided to try since he was eager to surf there. We will absolutely be coming back, the staff are amazing, the eclipse is so yummy and beautiful and the whole experience felt like paradise!

Can't tell much, the guard won't let me in cause it was 5:30pm, so we find another place to stay and eat. Thumbs down…

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I got marriedthere this year in May. The communication was on point during the months leading up to our special day. The staff was so kind, and the food was AMAZING! The setup for the ceremony was GORGEOUS and MAGICAL, and the reception was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We are so happy to have chosen Villa Montana, and we definitely plan on going back there.

Found this place by accident. Surprised and glad to find this tropical paradise. :).

Kind of nice country/beach place. However, not in line with our expectations. Just to relax as it is boring. Liittle of tennis, beach and pool. That, by the way, too small. Food was not at the level we expected and quite expensive for what you get. And talking about two persons who are in good shape and don't like large amout of food in our plates. Overall, we survived a week! Will return? Absolutely not for us!

Absolutely loved the place. Just got back from a wedding at Villa Montana, and it was awesome. The Elcipse had fantastic food, the beach was beautiful, and the facilities were top-notch. Give this place a try the next time you want to visit PR but want to get away from the hustle of San Juan.

My boyfriend and I loved this place! We were honestly really pampered by the staff. It's the kind of place where you want to stay long term, because it's so easy, there are two pools and two restaurants and there is a gym, and the beach, and horses, it just feels as if you have everything you could want, so why leave? I will most certainly be coming back.

This place was awesome! We went for a long weekend to a wedding years ago. We all had a blast! The views are amazing the food was great, bar tenders. The snorkeling was awesome! If you walk down the beach to the right a little where the locals go, the are some amazing spots to snorkel. Just an awesome place! And we never left the grounds. Maybe next time. You can't go wrong here.
