Love the roof top terrace and nice breakfast daily! This place saved us from out roach infested AirBNB. Fantastic location to walk to the square.

This hotel was so nice. I really wish we had known about the rooftop pool at the beginning so I am telling you now. They also had some spa services but we were too busy sightseeing. We didn't eat there so I can't speak to that but the rooms were nice. The bathroom was enormous and there was a cute little balcony. I definitely plan to come back.

Ideally located hotel in central Ponta Delgada. Rooms were clean and have all the facilities you would expect. Food in the restaurant was excellent and service very good. There is a tasteful hotel bar, plus a sports bar with a pool table, live sports and music videos. Staff at reception are very helpful.

Hotel with decent standard, at good central location and with mostly helpful staff. Some of them at the front desk did not speak English which I found odd. Room standard is ok but a bit worn. Beds are uncomfortable (too hard for my taste) but staff did what they could to alleviate with extra mattress. The hotel should really invest in new beds though. Amenities such as gym, pool etc exist but are small. I didn't mind though since I spent most time outside of the hotel. Breakfast was a very standard continental breakfast. Don't expect anything particularly good or special. In sum, the hotel does not stand out in neither a very bad or good way. Were I to visit Ponta Delgada again I would probably gamble and try a different hotel.

Nice hotel, with lots of charm. We had an inside room (window to a light shaft? Courtyard? ) and were nevertheless very satisfied. The beds are super comfortable. The rooms are not noisy and there is no street noise. Recommended for a short break.

Great location centrally. Nice staff. Clean rooms. Take note "queen" or "king" beds are singles pushed together and covered with a blanket, as is the Portuguese standard I suppose. We used this as our base for day-tripping while on that end of the island.

Great place to stay, if you enjoy walking in Ponta Delgada. The staff was excellent, kind and very personal you feel like you are at home. Great hotel to stay at if visiting Ponta Delgada, Azores.

A lovely hotel in a great location for easy access to Ponta Delgada city. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. For a quieter stay ask for a room round the back as in rooms at the front you constantly hear the squeaking of car tyres as they go round the corner. The breakfast buffet has a great selection including waffles, full English, cheeses, pastries, cereals and fruit. There are amazing views from the rooftop pool, gym and terrace across the city. I'd definitely stay here again!

Location perfect to town, bars, restaurants and amenities. The room is clean and bright service and staff were very helpful and the breakfast vast and plentiful. A great experience.

Nothing to complain about everything was perfect, to redo on the occasion.

Good value for money. Rooms are a bit dated, but are large and clean. Breakfast that is included has good options, and they pack breakfast for you if you have an early departure. Pool on the roof seems to be heated. AC in the room had a bit of moisture build up. Parking available for 6 euros/night.

Very nice English style hotel. However, you have to make sure that you get a room to the Outside.

Highly recommend the Talismen. The location couldn't be better and the staff is friendly and hospitable. The food is good and you'll The free breakfast is substantial. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It's got a certain charm that makes it a perfect place to stay.

Very good: seriousness and helpfulness of the staff, cleaning room and various halls, hotel location, quietness and silence from true rest.

Had a great stay here. Prices are good, the people are friendly, the location is convenient for walking to stores, restaurants, gardens, and attractions. Had some issues with a leaky toilet but the friendly staff worked it all out quickly. The restaurant in the hotel regularly hosts a group of regional dancers which is very fun to watch. And the roof top pool is great to relax in after a long day of walking — just be ready to fight off pigeons if you swim during the day.

A neat old hotel. Clean comfortably room and friendly staff. One star off because my king bed was two twin beds.

This is a review of the Palm Terrace restaurant that is located in or adjacent to the Hotel Talisman. Food was great. I had the omelette with ham and cheese and it was delicious and perfectly presented. But this review is all about the Sangria! It was simply the best I ever had. If you're from the States, you need to experience true Sangria with fresh cut fruit, champagne, and red wine. Foamy top with large chunks of fruit sweetening it as it sits there waiting for you to pour another glass. Man that was good! Nice park view of you sit outside. It takes forever to get the check but that's typically European. It's better than feeling rushed.

Very comfortable beds, friendly service, and an amazing breakfast. The nicest hotel out of the 5 we've stayed in on the Azores.

The talisman hotel is one of the best in ponta delgada, good quality food, service 5*the room is very comfortable and very nice with all the details, congratulations to the management, good job, of course I recommend to all.

A comfortable hotel, well located close to the city centre and has a host of excellent and efficient. The breakfasts are hearty and well diversified, most of the rooms are comfortable and are well equipped. It is recommended by a number of international travel agencies. Certainly, it has a soul but. One flaw: too expensive for this type of hotel (100 euros and more).

The hotel is very nice and big. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located in Ponta Delgada. The food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfast buffet is extensive. The rooms are always very clean and cosy.

It's a very centrel hotel in Acorez St Miguel. The very first I got there I wanted just an apple before I go to bed, that was the most deligous apple I every eaten. I got up 3kg on one week so there food is very good and breakfast with local orange juice. So visit Talisman Hotel.
